I do not agree. He one's that do not tip, or tip less probably benefit from the fact that some of us tip generously.
But it will be when it is too late. Rio used to have 6 Reals to a dollar and gringos inflated the booty market down there by not haggling and tipping too much. Now is is 2 Reals to a dollar and the cariocas still want the same compensation. The same is happening in Thailand, only the cariocas can outperform circles around any Thai woman. That 1500bht tip equaled another short time + 1/2. They laugh at you when you are generous. In 10-20 years people will be wiping their ass with the dollar and Chinese will be coming to the USA for knobbers from our women, so enjoy the hoot ride while it lasts.

BuleDaddy,
While it's interesting that you are trying to draw a comparison between the two cities, the "tip too much and eventually everything will be inflated" argument has been going on for at least 15-20 years if not more. I heard it on my first visit and have been hearing it ever since. Nothing has changed noticebly, outside of the fact that in the last few years I see more Japanese money in the economy and I'm not talking about the P4P scene. I'm talking investment money and more job opportunities.
What will really impact the hobby scene is the developing economy and the availability of better paying jobs outside of the P4P scene. That is why P4P is so expensive in developed countries. The woman have more job opportunities and it will take more money to sway them into the P4P scene. From what I have seen in the last 5 years, I would be more concerned from that standpoint. Basic supply and demand. I don't think demand will change much, but I can certainly see the supply side shrinking.
I have never worried about what some other person has tipped. I don't think a waitress in the U.S. would expect a $1,000 tip from the next person just because her last customer was Bill Gates. The Thai girls know what an average tip is and a 1,500 baht tip is not average.
I know the Tipping issue is a Never ending issue and will never be resolved, so why not just leaving it up to each punter and Provider?
Nic,
Exactly! Why is it that some hobbyists feel compelled to tell others how to spend their money? I just don't get it! I don't tell people what kind of car they must buy, what type of food they must eat, which countries they must visit, or how much they must spend on any of that stuff. It's THEIR money!
Yet, the inevitable criticism comes along. Even the "selfish" angle! LOL! It never ends.
The Blowjob feels a little hot. No worries, I’m thinking, it’s just the contrast between the Cold towel wipe and the hot mouth.
She sucks for a little while and I play with her small tits and Ass. I come quite fast and she excuses herself to go clean up. My dick still feels a little hot. .
She comes back, cleans it with Fresh and Cold wipes but it’s still hot. Dammit. By the time I dress up and we’re ready to go, my dick burns. It is itchy and hot. I look at her and rub my cock in an uncomfortable way. She smiles and Says "sorry, I eat spicy food before going with you"
Jesus Christ! My pants are on Fire LOL and all she can say is Sorry? Why did she even go with me since she knew she ate spicy food? These girls are pros, they know that spicy food will get your cock on fire!
Wow! And I thought the Chinese came up with the Fire and Ice routine. LOL!

Ask any bartender working near the studios in LA. Those very high-paid studio execs are the cheapest most demanding a-holes on earth. Sports figures, actors, and actresses often think their check should be housed because they grace you with their presence. I'm sure Bill leaves 15% and no more. All my trust fund brat friends are dirt cheap. They (rich punks) usually don't even carry money around when you go out. I've been stiffed by such scoundrels when I loaned them money in Fla. or overseas when their allotment in their spendthrift trust was maxed out or when they claimed their card magnetic strip was shot (lies now doubt). Nothing more fun than putting the "key" to their new Land Rover back home! As for infated prices, in 2001 in Pattaya it was 500 bht for a st and 1000 for a LT when you got 39 bht for the dollar and everthing in Pattaya was cheaper. If you gave the girl a 200bht tip on top of the 500bht they wai'd and bowed down like crazy. Most of the world is unemployed, and the biggest industry in Thailand is probably booty for hire. Name one Spanish speaking industrial power. Maybe Mexico? Where are they all trying to get to?
Thailand and Brazil are very similar in many ways. They are very different than their neighbors, they have a huge p4p thing going, a gigantic ladyboy population, a very violent underworld, a distain for foreigners, and they both think they are the center of the universe.
The Europeans in Rio told me about the American non-haggling attitude, and in Ipanema the girls off the beach wanted 300br, ($150) the last time I was there. Sure she was beautiful, and smoked great pole and did the butt thaing but she was a kunt that thought her merde was gelado.
The hotel prices have almost doubled in the past 3 years in Pattaya. Bangkok had remained stable. Tip one of the old bell hops at the Nana 100bht for two bags when you check in, and they whine "cannot buy beah with that", I got a driver fired in Jakarta when he got all nasty with me for giving him a 50,000ir ($5) tip for taking me from the Airport to Glodok. Pretend you are English and they leave you alone. If you are American and you tip they try to squeeze more out of you. I'm not babbling for the sake of babbling, but next thing you know the trollups will want their money up front.
For those of you who have had the great pleasure of Anny at Aviva Massage on Soi 8. This is just to say she's not there anymore.
But the good news is she's now freelance and is still happy to give those 'special' massages but now at your hotel or a local friendly hotel of your or her choosing. She's contactable on her mobile at any time. If you haven't had the pleasure just 'thread' her name or aviva and she's cums :) up with full marks give her a call [Telephone Number deleted by Admin]

There were service charges on restaurant bill etc. No tip was expected. Bell hops, etc never had their hand out. Now with the flood of tourist tipping has been "globalized". Its the same everywhere...everyone has their hand out. So I guess we tip what we think is correct. If they complain so be it.
My last trip to BKK was last January 2007 and services, prices, fun was similar than my last trip in May 2006 (probably the girls 5% more, my Hotel cheaper 5%). Anyway, still the best value for my money.
However the latest News here in Europe regarding Political, Economic, Social and Terror issues in Thailand NOW are not the best (?). What is the opinion from the Members of this Forum located there now regarding prices and girl services, shopping, hotels etc? Thanks and regards
As an answer for a question in that matter:
I tipped 1500 after a great 90 minute 2 rounds, anal and all.
There was NO negotiation process and she smiled.
Could do for less? maybe.
Member 2400,
you did the right thing. Don't listen to those cheap charlies who believe that your "tip" may increase their "tip" for their next session.
Any price that is accepted and being seen as a fair price by both involved parties it the correct price.
Let me start by saying tht I am a long-time senior member who has thoroughly read the every section of the Thailand forum and much of the archives, so please spare me the "RTFF". I just have a few general questions being that this is my first trip to Thailand and I am going solo.
I am going to Thailand mostly for sex. I'm sure I'll explore the city, or beach (depending on where I stay) but mainly will be having fun with the ladies. I plan on taking this trip within the next month. With that said, here are my questions:
1. Is 2 weeks too short of a trip? I've seen many write that to truly experience LOS you should stay for at least a month?
2. I noticed there is only a Hotel thread on Pattaya...why no hotel threads on Bangkok and Phuket? Where is the best information on Bangkok/Phuket hotels located? the general sections?
3. My most difficult decision is deciding where to go? Bangkok, Phuket, or Pattaya? Like I said initially, I am mainly here for the girls. With that said I assume Bangkok would have much to do because it's such a fun city, and the other two locations have beaches and seem a little more touristy (I'll make-up words from time to time). Any input would be greatly appreciated. I do like the idea of a beach, but at the same time the "action" of Bangkok is appealing.
4. Can I buy Xanax without a prescription there? Can I bring xanax if I have it in the prescription bottle but no written prescription? I am very paranoid about bring annything that may be deemed illegal there.
5. Are hotel safes completely secure? I've never traveled overseas and needed to use one and would be concerned that everything I own is in a tiny box in my hotel room.
Any other input on this board or via PM would be greatly appreciated. I will be going within the next month and really look forward to having an adventure. If you have a great reccomendation for a hotel, please let me know, I am looking in the 4 star range, no need ofr kitchen, but like updated modern look and no insects!
Thanks in advanced, and drop me a line if you ever need info on the NJ/Philly scene.

When helping me decide where to go (Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket) please let me know if there is a significant change in the price for hotel ond women at these locations as this will help with my decision.
Thanks in advanced,
KT2

What is the opinion from the Members of this Forum located there now regarding prices and girl services, shopping, hotels etc? Thanks and regards
Don't worry, just get over here and have fun! absolutely nothing to Worry about, except maybe Chiang Rai (not best to travel there at the moment).
You bring up good questions especially your reference to terrorism. I still belive BKK is completely safe and would not hesitate to visit. But I keep an eye on my surroundings more than ever before. I do have concerns about visiting NEP which only has one entrance/exit and is full of guys terrorists hate.
The prices of hotels and girls has risen but LOS remains a bargain when you look at the avilable choices. Prices have gone up elsewhere, too. China (except Macau and Hong Kong) remains reasonably priced but it is also far more difficult to navigate for the average western monger. I still rank LOS #1.
You bring up good questions especially your reference to terrorism....NEP which only has one entrance/exit and is full of guys terrorists hate.
Really? Now without getting too political (or religious), can you tell me who the Terrorists are and more importantly what guys do they hate?
Are you referring to the bombings in BKK or in the south of Thailand?
