Spirit Ailines Totally Sucks
Anyone care to share there experience with Spirit Air?. I am interested in hearing about your experiences.
They can be inexpensive, and their planes are fine, but their idea of "customer service" is to shove a propeller up your ass.
I arrived two hours early in Ft. Lauderdale, but the line was so long and moved so slow, I did not make it on the plane. They take forever charging each customer that luggage fee.
So then I went to the rebooking line. They were charging everyone full fare, with no credit from the fight missed. They blamed the customers for the problems of the lines.
However, I turned that old DB charm up a notch and got her to book me for the next day at no additional cost.
This time I arrived three hours early, but the line literally wound all through the airport, outsde onto the sidealk, and half a mile down the road. I shit you not!
After baking for an hour and a half in the Florida sun, and yet to even make it inside the buildng, I could see I was screwed again. I walked to the back of a stand that had the only two skyhops, who also had a long line. I asked one fellow what I had to do for him to get me on the plane.
$20 for him and $20 for his partner.
I paid the bribe. What else was I going to do?
As I finally walked in with my boarding pass the Spirit prison warden who was sending people to the back of the line yelled at me for "sneaking" onto the plane.
They really show their customers how much they appreiate us!
I noticed a sign over the carrier next to them that said "Customers are not an interruption to us. Serving them is the sole reason we exist."
Another fellow I met in CTG old me he had a very similar experience with Spirit. I think their business model is to collect your fare and keep you off the plabe, hoping that you will buy a second ticket.
Or maybe they just like to save money on fuel by flying planed that are only half full.
Once I was finally on the plane, all went well.
But I told myself NEVER again!
If you are taking Spirit, at least in Ft. Lauderdale, you damn well better show up at least FIVE hours early. And I am not kidding.
