Orthodox church uses both this calendar and also old julian calendar composed by Julius Ceasar - the dates are delayed 14 days.
Orthodox church in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria use gregorian calendar and they celebrate Christmas and Easter on the same dates as catholic church.
They celebrate Christmas on December 25th.
Orthodox churches in Serbia and Russia use exclusively old calendar and they celebrate Christmas on January 7th.
Easter should be two weeks after the catholic church but the date is never fixed - it goes up and down during this two weeks. This year Easter fell one week after and next year it should be after two weeks.

Maybe what she told was true, maybe she had that day received another offer she could not refuse? But in the back of my mind, I believe her.
Well, that's it, I really regret that she chickened out. She was a girl I would love to spend more time with.

Old Safari closed long ago. Opened in another location about a year ago. Went once and it sucked. Need to try again now that the crisis is in full swing. It is so unusual to meet a foreigner who speaks any Russian, that even the smallest effort, no matter how badly bungled, will always be welcomed kindly and rewarded. And we should all be so lucky as to be rewarded by a Russian woman.
