As for Aeroclube, I am leaning towards saying that it depends on the time of day you go there. I have been there in the afternoons and early evenings. At those times, I have not seen any action that looks like what others have described.

I do not recommend using street-walkers. Even if they are "safe", the blatant visibility is not. There is a growing sentiment in Brazil against commercial sex due to the connection with under-age prostitution, which is a problem in some places of Brazil. Foreigners in particular have been targeted for arrest in some cities. There are posts in ISG about it. There was a sting in Natal not long ago. Discretion NEVER hurts!

If you go to Aeroclube for finding pro's, go in the evening after 21 hs. You shouldn't have any problems finding out which girls that are pro's. If you are in doubt they will propably make a signal to you.

Well, I did just that yesterday. And YES! After the stores and fast food courts close, the garotas de programa come out! They hang around the bars that are the only establishments open at that hour.

When I went, around 11 pm, there were 15 or so chicas and 6 or 7 guys. There would be 3 or 4 chicas talking with 1 or 2 guys at a table. Now, what I say was not encouraging. It seemed the chicas were far more into getting the guys to buy then drinks and food than to provide sex. What she told me about the place is that very few Brazilians use Aeroclube to find sex; their clients are almost exclusively foreigners. The country that uses it the most is Italy. She flat out told me, after some probing, that her lowest price for me would be $R80 for a complete program, that included anal but no BBBJ, only CBJ. Charge a lower fee when he was low on money, to be made up later when he was flush with money.

I can't see recommending this place as a good mongering ground. Why was my chica so accomodating? I suspect because she was broke that day!

Unfortunately there will always be mongers that overpay the girls. In Rio it might be Americans, in Recife Germans, in Natal Scandinavians and in Fortaleza and Salvador Italians.

I don't blame them. They might go for a two-week holiday and want to enjoy themselves in a short time. I go to Brazil for longer periods and don't value p***y that much.

I make it very clear to the girls about my situation and theirs. Better to take a low bid and get some money than earn nada. Always remember that a salário mínimo is R$ 350. Usually they take my offer.

The criticism is aimed less at Italian men, than it is at other men who do not want to pay the prices Italian men are willing to pay and do not know where else to go. My post basically says, do not go to Aeroclube unless you want to pay the same prices Italian men are paying. More power to them if that is what floats their boats!

I wrote a report about Eros a few weeks ago. I had a bad experience with the taxi driver. He tried to run up the bill because he didn't know hopw to go to the hotel I was staying at, even though he said he did. He wouldn't listen to my instructions. Then he didn't have change. He essentially told me to go f*** myself when I said I would complain about him.

I finally am making my way up North. Salvador kind of sux compared to other areas in Brasil. Also agree with the taxis, they are problematic. I had a nice heated argument with one who attempted to take me to the Airport. First he tried to charge me a "special price" of R70. When I told to just turn on the meter, he said ok but there is a 20% loading. I had done my research, this was during daylight hours, the 20% loading is just after 10pm or weekends. I told him to stop the taxi and I will get out. He came with a new "special price" of R60, I said "stop the fucking taxi" here. He kept driving and agreed to take me for R50 then R40. I had to grab his arm to make him stop the taxi. He couldn't understand how the price wasn't the issue, it was more the issue of him trying to rip me. Anyway I walk a 10 minute walk back to the same hotel , had a word to the manager (the taxi was waiting outside), told him the story and was assured the taxi driver wouldn't be allowed back. I then emailed the hotel chain with the same story. The reason why this shit occurs all the time in brasil is the locals don't complain about anything, hence everybody tries to rip everybody else. Will it make a difference? No, but i was satisfied. Finally grabbed a cab to the airport, was R44 on the meter.
