Of course an Indian-looking guy will be India, just as a Chinese-looking guy will be China. Nobody will have any idea, or even care, where they grew up. Again, why would they?

Are you basing what you're saying on your experience in Pattaya?

There is already a word to describe foreigners as a general group of people that is commonly used in the Thai language, so why would they complicate things and create one to designate white westerners, another one to designate Indians, yet another one to differentiate them from Middle Easterns, and another one to describe Black people then, if they really didn't care?

You're just bringing your European logic and acting like that's the only way to be.

10 years ago I was just starting to be able to read simple thai words, and up to then thought I'd be living the rest of my life here, but things did not go as planned. Now I just visit once a year, each year forgetting more and more of what little I once knew.

I will be making my way from UTapao airport to Chanthaburi to see a former bargirl. She made the mistake of falling in love with a Thai man there, so she can't work bar anymore. Her only sponsor bailed, so she works in a factory for small money.

I have no idea how to get to Chanthaburi, so it should be an interesting trip.

You know things are really quiet in Pattaya when ladies go into girlfriend mode with me. One problem with that is they don't leave my condo after getting paid.

Another 2 months, and customers will return to the bars.

I know a civvie who goes with me when she is between Farang boyfriends. She's kind of a model type, but she's hitting 30. That means big physical changes for her over the next few years, her head will get rounder, her body softer, belly bigger, etc. In 10 years, she will look like a massage lady.

I had better enjoy it while I can.

I am making a quick run to Chanthaburi for a one nighter with a former bargirl. Its cheap and easy to get here, but its 4 hours one way.

I took a Bolt taxi to the Rayong bus station, from there a 130 baht minivan to Chanthaburi. Coming back, I will take a minivan to the Rayong bus station, and then Bolt to my condo in Pattaya.

The lady showed up in girlfriend mode. Clearly, she was looking for a sponsor so she wouldn't have to go work in Pattaya. She complained about her debts, but wouldn't leave Chanthaburi, ie she couldn't leave her Thai boyfriend for more than one night.

The Chanthaburi lady clearly had a desperate plan to spend one night with me to convince me to become a sponsor (she needs money to maintain her boyfriend). I ended up sending her packing at 10 pm, I couldn't handle her fake girlfriend routine.

Today, I am heading off to Kunming, China with a Thai lady who pretends to be my girlfriend.
