Just got back and was in Club X on both Saturday and Sunday nights. No cover either night and it was rocking. I didn't make it to After One but it seemed the flow when Classicos closed was directly across the street to Club X. To my taste, there were more good looking chicas at 3 a.m in Club X than in Classicos. Chicas came from all over Sosua and two different chicas told me they were coming directly from their casas to the bar. Bad news was that my experience was that the prices didn't seem to go down. Also a lot of Dominicanos.

Does this mean Club X is staying open later than Classicos? How is this possible with the curfew in place?

After spending three full winters in the DR, I have searched high and low. Spending at least two weeks at a time in Semana, Moca, Santiago, San Francisco, POP and the like. No luck. Bottom line, their is simply no other Sosua. When I started going to the DR in 1994, Boca Chica was actually better. Now days, I have no desire to take a free trip to BC. Since then I have been looking high and low for a beach town anywhere in this Hemisphere with the same vibe as Sosua "in the day". No luck! If I name every city and country I have tried, I would put you guys to sleep.
Anyone have a suggestion, please PM me!!!
My feeling is, their will never be a time anywhere, like the early Internet years. Man it was great!!!

Thailand is also in the Northern Hemisphere, so I respectfully suggest you have a look at Pattaya. This beach town is incredible. I've been to both places and must say the Thailand experience is awesome. Do yourself a favor and splurge on the airfare. It's a once in a lifetime experience for a monger.

I have parents in their 80's and have no desire to be that far away. I am looking for a Beach town much closer.

I don't know the ins and outs but just like After Hours, Club X stays open til dawn. Or so the former Classicos waiters who work there told me. I pulled a chica at 4 am on Saturday night and another a 3 am on Sunday night. I didn't go there on Monday night as I found someone who tickled my fancy at closing in Classicos.
The guy who was shot may have been a drug dealer but SWAT had nothing to do with it, was a guy dressed all in black came in and opened fire with 2 handguns, besides hitting the guy at the bar (he was 6 seats away from me) he also hit the chica the guy had brought in with him, no-one else injured.

The SWAT shooting was on the news and virtually every local stayed home one night because of it while I was there.
This shooting is new to me. Astounding.
Which bar? When you say "besides hitting the guy at the bar", do you mean shooting?
I for one, am getting very concerned about this type of thing getting out of hand, matter of fact, it appears it has.
