I am in BK only for 3 days on a whirlwind visit from Dubai staying at the Dynasty Inn next to nana plaza.
As I am only there for such a short space of time and have not been for over 10 years, can you advise me on where to go especially bars, clubs day and night and what is the going rate for ST anf LT. Also good massage places in the area.
Any other info most welcome.

I think you have selected a very nice area. South of it you have many nice "Sois". Close to the Landmark Hotel there is a famous "Blow Job bar". Outside the Nana Plaza and the Nana Hotel there is a parking lot with many beautiful young girls looking for company. Many are students an "safe". If you stay at the Nana Hotel, you only have to go out 10 meters to find 1 class company.

I'm wondering if the Thermae is still open. I went to Bangkok last November and was told that it was no longer open. Anyone have any information on this? I'm leaving for Thailand again on May 5 and want to check it out again.

Its still open though not all that exciting. Every now and then I feel the urge to revisit it and always leave empty-handed. There are a few ok girls but they have their radars zoned in on the Japanese. If you watch the girls its kind of funny though I suppose insulting - a falang walks by - no visible change of expression or movement - a Japanese guy goes by and its like they go into prime time in trying to get his attention. One time I was trying to chat up a group of 4 girls with one in mind - and then a group of 3 young Japanese guys float in and zoom I am history. So this generally leaves the flotsam and jetsam for the falangs to choose from.
The other night I run into a girl that I used to know pretty well from the Nana parking lot - a real sweetie back in 2005 - lovely girl - very shy and innocent. You can fill in what she is like 2 years later - not exactly hard core but certainly no sweetie anymore. She tells me she now works at Baccara in Soi Cowboy - so I go get her the next day and am surprised that every other guy in the place is Japanese. I take her out and ask her how things are going and why she changed work locations - she loves Japanese she tells me and they love her - "good heart" she tells me - but when I try to dig down to what this means it turns out that she can basically totally manipulate them - shopping trips, restaurants, not much exertion in bed. She tells me that most of the guys last about 5 minutes and 50% can't even get it up - and she loves that. Not sure if she was just telling me what she thought I wanted to hear, but I don't think so because there was really no reason to - and she tells me its not just her experience but of many of the girls in the club. So when I was taking longer than the normal 5 minutes you could see she was getting ancy - how the girls do change in this game. Not sure I can blame them - in their position I would be happy with a quick payday too!

Pickings vary.. but for me the best times are towards the end of the month just before the rent check is due! Actually some good offerings last time I was there..some nice office workers.

I woke with a nasty , Red Bull hangover- luckily i didnt drink enough vodka to do any permanent brain damage. Did i mention im staying downtown in a 3 star hotel smack in the Pratunam market district. This is the place to buy anything fashion related and the street food isnt half bad either.
After a few chicken pieces on a stick and some sliced pineapple in a plastic bag I feel human again. My fellow Aussie flatmate has finished his farang buffet breakfast so we trudge off in the direction of the BTS ( skytrain). Mikeys happy to follow my meanderings as this is my third time in LOS and he is a little overwhelmed by all the attention as soon as he steps out of the safety of the lobby. I tell him to just pretend he is a walking ATM machine and then he can comprehend what the locals see when he strides down the sidewalk with his bulging wallet and all those fresh converted thai baht.
After walking around some classy shops near Siam BTS station, I maneouvre the two of us to the Nana area. I let it slip that i am looking for the Eden club but dont say any more. Its easy to find as its just off the soi ( street) next to the skytrain but it turns out Im too early. Whoops!
No yellow lines, no fish bowl, nada- just a couple of cleaners with limited English skills so we take a seat at an outdoor bar cum massage parlour.
( Prices from around 1500 baht for full service printed just above the serving counter inside.) Id already noticed the working girls when I entered Eden - it was hard not to. Mikey ordered a large beer for himself and a pineapple juice for me ( plenty of time to get drunk- i want to get laid first!).
There was three or four of them sitting one table away from us and they were dressed to kill in their slinky , skin tight black evening dresses. For the most part they were all young and pretty- one in particular had a two hundred kilowatt smile but on closer inspection they were a little on the thick legged side for me. Still it makes you wonder what the quality is like next door at Eden - cant be as bad as some make out at ISG. I was surprised at the lack of hassle and " buy me a drink " routine.The owner appeared to be Arab if that is any clue.
This could also explain why the lovesick Mikey didnt start whining about my mongering research until afetr the four large beers mark.

Clearly we (both of us) are looking for a totally different type of girl to most available at the Thermae. One who actually likes good sex rather just a quick processor for big cash.
A lot of Farangs at the Thermae are not exactly desirable types of course.

Thanks to the contributors here, I felt I had a good understanding on what to expect when I hit town last week before going to the beach, and last night before the flight back to the US.
I stayed at the Majestic Grande both times. Nice hotel close to Nana. When I returned the Thursday night, the manager had a cake in addition to the fruit bowl for me at check in. That was very nice!
Nana was a trip. I'd read the reports here. I'd seen some of the YouTube videos, but it is still something you have to experience. I started by taking in the sights from a perch at the Big Mango bar and did some people watching as the sun set and things livened up. I went to the Rainbow bars for some eye candy and to several other haunts before ending up at Angel Witch. There, I spotted a girl I liked and bar fined her. We weren't in a hurry to go back to the room just yet and she said she wanted to visit her friend at Hollywood on the ground floor. That place was was also hopping and it was funny to see her try and set her friend up with some farang guys sitting down the bench from us. She said she was hungry and so we went to a random street vendor just outside Nana entrance. She paid!
We then went back to the Majestic Grande. The guard and her exchanged words in Thai but no one asked for her ID or my room number. We went upstairs for a nice session. In the morning, we went again, in the full light of the morning she wasn't the total fox I fucked the night before. Of course, my beer goggles were gone too. Still good times.
Last night I was back in Bangkok and decided to go to Soi Cowboy to see what that was like. I stopped in at Long Bar and was somewhat surprised to see the girls there wearing nothing but go-go boots. Wow. There was one girl who caught my eye who had a very pretty face and a lot of energy on the stage. When she rotated out I had her come over and we leave for ST. I had to get up at 5am on Friday for my flight back so I couldn't stay out too late. We head over to the Penny Black hotel located right there on Soi Cowboy for some ST loving. They fee was 450 baht. The room was OK. Relatively clean, had aircon and a bath. And the all-important bed. A short by sweet session going on with a Thai soap opera in the background. Afterward I went to a few other bars in Soi Cowboy [most featured at least topless go-go dancers] and decide I should make my way back to the hotel.
Back at Nana I visit a Rainbow Bar and Playskool on the ground floor. Rainbow Bar had the talent but it was crowded. I then went up to Mandarin. I meet a girl there and wonder if I should take her out for short time too. Well, my dick says yes and we leave. She says she's hungry so we go to the diner at the Nana hotel. It is around 1130pm or so and there weren't a lot of customers, just me and my date and two other farangs with their ladyboy dates. She eats a meal [I paid, but it was very cheap] and we head back to the Majestic Grande for a session. This time the doorman does ask for her ID and my room number and we're off. We take a bath together and she blows me in the tub. We move to the bedroom for some PSE. Afterward, we have some cake the manager sent to my room and I turn her away leaving me two hours to sleep before I had to leave.
Good experiences all the way around. I need to go back to experience Eden and massage parlors next time.
