This has not been my experience at Blackbeard's. With the exception of the two chica-supervisors I discussed in my post, I have always experienced outstanding hospitality from EVERY staff member at Blackbeard's on each of my 6 visits. I can't say enough nice things about the friendly and helpful people that work there, they are fabulous.

There is a unique mentality that goes along with a position of power or responsibility as native Latinos are concerned. You really have to experience it directly. Their attitudes change... it is cultural.

Some Latinos understand the cultural difference though and are able to morph back to the American business mindset. Sounds like Charo was this way.

Here is a tactic I used pretty much by accident while there:

I was looking to see if Margie was going to still show up for our 10am. She didn't show for that time, so I asked the weekend guy who was there at the front desk if he had a way of contacting her. He in turn asked Josie to call for me.

Josie called, but Margie's phone was off. BUT Josie kept calling until she got a hold of Margie and we set up our romp for 2pm.

I was impressed at the fact that Josie continued to try to contact Margie even though she clearly didn't have to, and even though I did not want to session with her (she hinted at wanting to do a threesome once Margie arrived, to which I replied "solo," meaning that I only wanted Margie).

My suggestion is try to pay attention to which girls hang with one another around BB's. That way if you are looking for one of their amigas they are more than likely to know how to get in contact with her if you are looking for her, or will know what's going on with her (enferma, out of town, etc.). Probably more so than the Madam's do.

I was talking about Most Dominicans and them running there busineess or working at a business, then don't know about taking care of the customer in alot of places not all but most. I'm going down in april i will check BB's out this time. In most all they see is the dollar sign.

First, I love BB's been back there 3 times in the last 3 years recently in December 08. Everyone remembered me even though it was 2 years since last trip.

I only had good experiences with the girls, in fact I was spending a lot of time alone that Paola & Lucia were constanly worrying about me. The Only BEEF that I have is that I was charges 20% on top of my bill as a Credit Card charge. This makes no sense to me, nobody else does this. I specifically asked in my emails if they take credit cards, they said yes, no one said anything about the 20%, and it's not on the website either.

Had I known I wouldv'e brought cash, but as it is I only brought enough cash for the Chicas the rest was put on a credit card, and I only found out when I got there. I have to say. THIS MAKES ME FURIOUS. It feels like a Cash grab, and this offends me completely. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. What is everyone else's experience. Do other resorts or hotels charge a surcharge for using a credit card. I doubt any of the hotels or resorts wouls stay in business if they did this. Are we being taken advantage of because we're Mongers and have no choice. I'd love to hear, John if you're reading this, this is a mood killer.

I was hoping to use my credit card as well, since they requested I send it prior to accepting my reservation. If this is true the credit card company should be notified and their privileges revoked. I believe credit card companies have strict policies about surcharges being applied for using their cards. I would advise you to report this as you may get that money back and prevent other guys from being ripped off. It's especially bad if the didn't advise you of the surcharge and obtain your permission.

's rules so don't waste your time and not to be a jerk or anything but if you guys were to READ THE Fat#KING FORUM before going there you would know all about this stuff as it has been discussed a billion friggin' times, its like the guy who complains about the ridiculous price of the taxi to and from the airport, how many times does it have to be said?

I am quoting myself not to pat myself on the back, as I am not the first in this forum to give such advice, but rather to point out that if you keep up on your research of the forums, you will find much of the information you need. This keeps surprises from happening like happened to Pete58.

SavePros is correct also in that BBs sends a confirming email detailing how you will get screwed if you use your credit card there.

Cash is King in the DR !!!! Do not forget that.

because I know the same old info can get old. But, I have been here for a couple of weeks and am on my way back to the states tomorrow. I was recently taken to a place that some of you may have been to already. After going there I realized that I had been there at least two years ago and simply had a beer and left. Recently I went there and had some pussy that was so good that, in spite of the fact that I had a condom on, I literally felt that I was going bareback. Now that is some good pussy!

For those of you that might be interested, if you head west on highway 5 past the entrance to Costambar you will pass the Rancho Tipico on your left side. Continue past that and you will come to a bend in the road turning right and just past the bend there is a place on your left called "Scape". It's a small place that can easily be missed if you're not watching for it.

I asked the owner tonight if it would be okay if I posted some info on the web and he said sure. The first time during this trip I was taken there and had some damned good pussy, and normally I'm not too impressed that I bother to post about it. But, I was impressed. Tonight I happen to have a chica lying in my bed who was the second chica I've had from this place, and I have to say it was/is good. Unfortunately, the rooms are really shabby on site. However, you can pay the 500 peso salida (and have to pay it on site as well) and take the chicas off site, and negotiate a 1000-1500 TLN peso fee as I have done. Originally I was a little concerned about quality but, if you can do BB's, you can do these chicas.

As I've said, some of you may have already been there and are not impressed. But, for those of you BB newbies who are always asking about other places to go, there you are. The owners name is Felix, and he'll be more than happy to assist you.

BTW, I am in no way associated with the place. I'm on my way back to the states tomorrow, and off to Pattaya next week, so enjoy.

It is my understanding that this practice is not allowed by the credit card companies. Last I checked, if you charged an additional fee for the use of the credit card, your merchant privileges will be revoked. I know it is widespread in the DR but that doesn't make it right. All merchants here in the US also pay a fee to process credit cards but do raise your bill to cover the costs. However, any intelligent merchant will simply charge the higher amount but provide a discount for cash. This practice does not violate any agreement with the credit card companies.
