Hong Kong without a doubt
I will be flying to Australia later this year and have the option of a stop over in Hong Kong or Dubai for 2 nights. Does anyone have any experience in these two cities, and what is people's general advice?
Thanks in advance
My advice is Hong Kong. Easier to have fun, easier to find fun and cheaper to have fun.

Safe, Efficient Hong Kong
Was at the Nikko hotel at TST East the other night to pick up a business acquaintance at approx 9:00 PM, when a troupe of gals came marching in. These 8 - 10 gals dutifully lined up at the desk at the entrance to the lift lobby and produced their mainland PRC passports whilst the Concierge asked them for their name, (to make sure that it is her passport I guess!!) and wrote their passport number and other particulars - including which room they are going to - on a ledger.
Approx 10 minutes or so later 6 or so of them came back down and the old gal accompanying them (the mommie I figure) dutifuly reported back that the client took 2 gals and gave their names. All of this carried out efficiently, non-chalantly and all business like - at this 4 to 5 star hotel. This IS Hong Kong!!
Dear LTS4,
did you realize anything of the amazing spots this town has to offer? For me, HKG is one of the top 5 cities in the world! Although this website is about mongering we still should see the things beyond that topic...
F.e. I last week watched the dragon boat race at Stanley Beach - a lot of fun..or: did you taste the very low priced but delicious indian food at Chungking Mansions? Or have you experienced the atmosphere on a saturday evening at Lan Kwai Fong? Did you hike in the mountains? Just some examples...
And your arguments concerning the girls are valid all around the world. Why ukrainish girls try to enter the EU? Because they like travelling? No! If the Filipinas would not get more money in HKG they would not be there. And besides that they pay a lot to get and be there!
I would NEVER see HKG just as a "in-transit" airport.
Cheers,

Hi Bearsk,
thanks-that's good news, the next good reason to travel the way down from Shanghai to HKG. Hope the trophy will fit to my luggage!
Cheers, Shamuc
