So what ended up working? You poor man, I hope you had threesome with two girls to make up for it.
The search for two beautiful legit bisexual negras or mulatas for me to have a porn level threesome begins soon (any advice on finding that is always welcomed).
Most of the BS that has happened to me this trip is not far from being reversed.

Mosaico taxi situation
So I am planning. Mosaico is one potential spot for a midnight run. Would love to find some negras. I have no doubt I could get there. But is it possible to SAFELY get back home if say I leave Mosaico at 4 in the morning?
Are there usually Ubers at Mosaico? I personally don't want to get in a taxi from the steet. Uber is safer, and I have had success with it. How do you all safely get home from Mosaico / VM area at very late hours?
Use Bradesco. If they don't work you are in trouble.
When I was in Rio last month Bradesco would not work. I ended up using Santander to get money. That is why I advised him to use whichever he finds that will work.

Santander
When I was in Rio last month Bradesco would not work. I ended up using Santander to get money. But Santander was also good with lots of attention paid to security.

I'll take a hit on the exchange rate here at home to avoid the hassle. Plus, I land on a Sunday, which I hear can be an issue as well. And actually, from what I can tell, my bank at least beats the airport rates. I'm all about problem prevention, especially when I visit a country the first time.

You can just bring some USD cash and multiple debit / credit cards, exchange some reais at home if you want. The situation is not worse than Medellin.

When bringing cash to Brazil, be aware that the limit where you have to declare is BRL 10 K or the equivalent, not USD 10 K. BRL 10 K is a little over USD 2 K.
Sorry, the website changes the symbol for BRL

The Girl from Ipanema
I came across this song. I hope you enjoy it. There should be an English version from YouTube.
...Secondly, few people take into account the P & L of working, such as overpriced real estate near workplace, overpriced food, near workplace having to pay top ...
You can replace "pussy" with "job" or "engineer" and see the situation reversed for two countries, My friend paid about 1. 8 M for a house that listed for 1. 5 M about 3 years ago. It is now about 2. 5 M. This family has two kids and their kids combined salary is more than 300 K and I am just putting it conservatively. This is pretty common in this circle. It's not too bad for people who can make it. Several of the largest companies basically offer free food.
I am in Brazil so I am with you on what you say.

I bring cash, 3 debit cards, 3-4 CCs when I go to Brazil. Anything can happen. Once I lost my Schwab, my backup Aspiration card didn't work, and the third debit card saved my ass because, to add insult to injury, I also fucked up and failed to change money in Rio before flying to Sao Luis (where I arrived late and couldn't find an open cambio). So yes, I got killed on the fees, but at least I had reals in my pocket. And I use CCs for food and shopping and anything else when they don't add their rip off "convenience fees".

Sorry, the website changes the symbol for BRL
Great reminder. Thank you. I'll only be there for 5 days or so. I'm actually planning on slightly exceeding that amount. So I think I'll limit it to the equivalent of 10 K in real and cross my fingers on an ATM for the rest. I appreciate the reminder. Locked Up Abroad will scare me straight. Hahaha.

https://youtu.be/_1uEy-n4IsU
Yep! I found this song less than 48 hours ago. I am glad to know that you like it. I was looking for the Portuguese version but I picked one from many in the search result and it was one in English. I figured that many experienced members would know the song but the newer members will enjoy it too.
