Buzios and other coastal adventures
Brazil is a package of lifestyle. Pussy can get boring, prolactin and dopamine reduce desire as does the awareness is costs about the same and has the same difficulty obtaining as buying a decent burger Stateside (allowing for taxes and tips and other crap).
Arrial do Cabo & Saquarema are also nice, and yes Buzios is too far for a day trip. Grab one or more of girls for a peronite, make sure they do the full lesbian fantasy thing that winds up most men to join in. Most girls love field trips to see their own country and that they are sufficiently valued to be included in your travels. It's close to a real girlfriend experience. With service to match.
On that note, Buzios is over-developed, miles of suburban crap and a small but nice town center. Upper middle class families head to Praia de Buzios that is a 10 minute drive away.
Buzios is a very "Americanised" (albeit low key) beach town similar to Tulum in Yucatan, Mexico. Infrastructure barely copes. For example, they lose grid power on a regular basis and sewer trucks come in the early morning to empty many hotels. It's amazing how throughout the world, short-term developers build "pretty" things with views and zero infrastructure (no doubt allowed by corrupt local officials). And by the time it becomes evident with population, it is too late to dig of roads, tunnel or build what should have been done in the first place. Once you get out of the cities Brazil offers national parks for camping (or glamping) and many nice things with no crime issues.
Crime is where there are rich tourists / locals and a mass of local poor people with nothing to lose. This is true of Copacabana and (insert city). Brazil on the whole is currently safer than many USA cities that are hollowed out, failed local economies getting worse by the day. Just wait till AI (should be called automated inequality) creates even more structural unemployment as organizations seek to reduce their human payroll to zero and the "savings" go to a tiny, smug and cynical elite. It's not going to be pretty in the USA where unmet expectations and guns join forces. And people discover the pension funds are empty.
But I've drifted off topic. Or sort of. After all, we mongers really just want a better life that includes sexual fulfillment rather than its weaponization in the USA that prevents commercial, consensual pussy market forces competing with the hordes of bitter, angry, whining, scheming women trying to control men and extract cash. The basic lopsided demand of supply and demand tells the real power play. They disguise it by pretending they know better than the women who choose it, or that 120% of supply is trafficked and/or underage etc. That there might be adult women who realize that an hours work with a man can earn them a days wages in some crappy unskilled job is conveniently left out of the discussion, along with the brutal labor exploitation in factories, fruit picking, cleaning, meat packers and the like (often with undocumented labour that Feds turn a selective blind eye to). So much for the land of the "free" markets. The fine print does not include morality freedom and range of competition against protected rackets and cartels. The original constitution did not include non-land owners, women or black people. Not a lot has changed except fancy lawyer words that ring hollow.
This board exists because of the federated pussy cartel that makes men unhappy and unfulfilled or being bound up in a forced subscription model with high fixed costs and rapid asset devaluation. We want a better deal and rationally seek it as free economic agents just as companies offshore operations. We do the same.
Nothing like a nice relaxing swim in the clean surf, cavorting with a lucious young woman and BJ on the beach and/or sunset cocktail. Not a day goes by without a few shattering orgasms in this place. As it should be.

Brazilian Plumbing...arhhh!
Getting out of the big city to the real Brazil ... One a three-hour boat cruise off the coast of Buzios with picturesque beaches and landscapes. , where you'll be able to swim and snorkel.
Or #2 (closer) embark on a four-hour boat cruise around the island of Ilha Grande. You'll stop at three scenic locations to swim and snorkel in the crystalline waters and discover marine
inhabitants.
Both options sound great. Good to see more exploration, outside of the larger cities.
I will ask someone along to stay overnight if going to Buzios. More fun! Maybe rent a jeep and never come back. LOL.
Yep, the "weekend wife" hookup on a quick get-away trip is always a fun time in my books. As Xpartan suggested, buggy rentals are a great way to see and enjoy Buzios and also as mentioned you may want to give Buzios a couple of days.
As for the poor infrastructure, power, plumbing or sewage problems that may exist in Buzios, note this is writ large in general, across the country. Brazil is notorious for its poor infrastructure. You'll get use to it or NOT.
For Example:
Take the time when I thought I'd broken the bathroom sink (in a Fortaleza Apt rental), while lightly washing some small items of clothing.
Okay I thought, here's an opportunity for the rental company to fleece the gringo and take him to the cleaners. So the plumber/handyman comes over and in a matter-of-fact way, like it's no like big deal, applies a thick bead of caulking, cuts a broom stick handle to fit under the sink and thus props it back into place. Ehh Voilą!!! Bob's your uncle and he's outta there in like 15 mins, at no charge to me.
So when it happens AGAIN (...arhhhh!) in Manaus, I was like, wait a minute, no problem...one "handyman broom stick special", to the rescue...kkkk!
Viva Brazil!
First trip but not first rodeo

Viva Brazil!
Cozumel MX before it was popular was a dream. Driving a moped with my 22 yrs living together model "real wifey before we parted as friends" across the island in the pouring rain, constantly stalling the engine. Then the sun came out, wow! I will never forget those days. Now the planet is overcrowded, on fire, hearting up and full of floating BS, garbage, on land sea and air. The Cozumel beach used to be gorgeous full of sea shells. Now it's a plastic refuse dump. The earth deserves better. I think Brazil still has places semi unspoiled.
The great federated pussy cartel is a joke. Ignore those hags.
Vag's restaurant / hotel link I actually saw previously. Thank you! It's a paradise still in reach of "civilization" currently mostly reserved for my current trip now. 1st meeting the garota before taking her somewhere means limited options. I'll figure something out. I'm talking to a few. Arrive in Rio in 10 days.
I am hopeful to see this outside of the tourist town of Buzios, down the road in a Jeep. https://www.instagram.com/p/CsgfxxhMbsR/.
But if it RAINS? LOL I'll be doing a hot Rio girl. And I'll be back.
Booking tours .. I think they use getyourguide ISG won't post the links, just google Rio getyourguide tours.
Land in Sao 3 nights then Rio 4 nights (maybe more) Bearsi is a bad influence.
To me Ilha Grande is better. Don't know if you plan on going in the winter or waiting until the summer. Does your tour start in Rio or the locations mentioned? 14 hours I assume Rio.
I have a hotel in Rio for 4 nights. Sept 9- 12th. A lot of last minute loose ends. Idea is offer to bring one of the garotas to Buzios, stay overnight and extend my Rio trip a day or 2. I do not have a guaranteed date so if I do it alone no worries. Maybe I'll go Ilha Grande instead and do it in one day. Seems like a dream vacay and both destinations would be terrific to visit. Only made flight plans for 2 weeks in / out of Sao Paulo. (8 nights total there) take quick hop to Rio but I can see it will be difficult not to extend or ever want to leave. It's my first trip to Brazil guys. If it's meant to be. So be it. LOL Colombia is / was my playground. You only live once (they say).
Unspoiled places, unspoiled people
...I just bought a Waterproof Phone Pouch for snorkeling on one ....
It is always in my carry-on. Water sandals, and rash guards are also good things to have. I brought 7 shorts with me. Beach life makes me lazy. My inbox is cleared.
Amazing Club for Gringos To Meet Regular Girls!
My gift to the board is this amazing club for Gringos, (especially if you are Black).
It's called the Bosque Bar in Gavea, I think it's right next to the Jockey club. I went 3 times during my trip, I brought sand to the beach once and got numbers on the subsequent two times when I went alone. The place is really nice, a little high on the entrance fee (125 R). They have a great indoor / outdoor feel to it and fantastic music for dancing all night long. The place was 3-1 women to men, and the crowd is early 20's- to 40's age range. The best part? It is packed with "Patricinhas! Thats the part where if you are Black, you should do very well as long as you have confidence.
The 2nd time I went, I saw a group of about 5 mid 20's American black men, who were just standing around and people watching. I could tell from their demeanor and clothing that they had some game but what they lacked was the confidence to walk up to a stranger without knowing whether she spoke English. They ended up leaving after 40 minutes looking dejected because none of them danced or spoke to the females. Little did they know that all they had to do was start a conversation and they would have had a ball.
I work with a few Brasilian women on Wall Street and they shared this common expression to me on interracial dating. "All Brazilian women have a basic black dress in their closet!" Which pretty much translates into, "All brasilian women, have a black lover that the family and friends do not know about". I am not saying that if you are white, you won't have any luck, but I am saying that the black tourist might have an easier time making a connection. The two times I went alone, I got 4 numbers and made out with one woman who was there celebrating a bachelorette party. You just have to be confident enough to try and not be afraid to strike out (Kinda like dating in the states).
