I've only been to Patpong once, in the daytime, to SOL. But if you're going to feel sorry for a place shed a tear for Washington Square. At least someone is still going to Patpong (regular tourists?).

And I thought maybe Pegasus club, RA, but I've spent so much money this trip, and I'm so shagged out, that I thought it might be a bit of a waste.

So maybe I'll try Patpong tonight.

I don't know about vast majority, but at least half is definitely plausible. If you happen to be in or around London at Songkran time, go check out the Thai temple in Wimbledon. There did seem to be a few air-born pigs around, when I was there...or, then again maybe they were simply the drunk, pink-skinned Brits tossing each other around.

I will say that my impressions were similar to those you had on your recent return to Patts.

Things are in fact looking up now, and I am hoping oil will soon be moving back upwards again into the winter months to 200$ or more a barrel.

I know its the low season, but I saw a marked change in Bangkok on my last exploring of things cultural.

1. Less farangs - but more importantly less "package tour cheap ticket travel Far East types".

This is the great thing about rising air fares and rising "fuel surcharges" - less and less tossers traveling.

2. Girls getting better - I noticed a marked increase in new faces around places, quite cute some of them. Having sampled a few the new faces are from out of town in the big city freelancing for some extra cash as prices rise and more people come under the pressure of "no spare money".

If this trend increases into tourist season, and we can see 200$ or more a barrel for oil, then its going to be great fun for mongers with cash to spend :) !!!!
