Apologies for the delay with this report and the haziness of the details. The events took place in mid-Feb. Stayed in Patong and didn't venture to any other parts for mongering. It's nicely located to get away from the hustle and bustle of Patong, but I was here for some action not a romantic getaway. Apart from the few bars right of the big roundabout as you head out of Karon Beach towards Patong there is not that much to talk about, maybe some more to offer but didn't venture out that far. I would deff stay in Karon again for the great beaches and overall outlook.

I walked the length of BR and wasapproached by many bar girls trying to tempt me into one of their fine establishments. If so, what Chalong & Big Budha, Similan Islands, Phi Phi Island, James Bond Island, Raya Island, Phuket Fantasea, . The list is huge. Don't rent any jet skis. The risk of scam is too high. Staying in Karon, expect to pay 400 THB each way to Patong, so rent a motorbike and carry your license, and international driver permit as well as wear a helmet. The risk of check points is high.

Karon has beer bar action as well, but not that much. But to be honest, I was terribly disappointed with Bangla road in Patong. I might even check out Kata beach if I got bored with what was available in Karon.

As mentioned above, massage shops will offer sex with oil and Thai massage. Basically, if your massage requires a private room.
