Thanks for the info gentleman!
Thanks for the info fellas! I keep hearing again and again how important it is to learn espanol. My spanish, which is still begginer level, served me well in my May MDE trip. It made the experience much more fun. I'm still studying. I acutally called the calena from colombian cupid this week, and was able to piece together a decent conversation. Okay, half way decent! I plan to spend a few days in Cali in November in route to Baq and Santa Marta. Thanks again for the input!
I'll tell ya what, I had to fly into Cali twice on Avianca on this last trip from other cities inside Colombia.
I forgot how friendly these Calenas can be.
On each flight I met a pretty girl traveling alone, one a writer the other a school teacher, the teacher being hottttt!
During the flights I got up to go to the restroom and when returning to sit down I talked to them asked if I could sit with them.
Got to chat a bit and exchange info, etc.
The teacher has already been sending me messages, looks like future fun is around the corner haha.
I'll have to fly Avianca more often.
And PS, speaking spanish isn't just helpful with meeting non pros, it's really essential IMO.
Have fun
