Airport rides: I contacted JC Pauli (John) at the recommendation of a friendly board member. John came and picked us up promptly at the airport and even dropped us off. John is very professional, speaks excellent english (lived in uS for decades). He knows the joints and hang out places for pros and non-pros. Although finding hookers is not his main business, he is willing to help. If you know what to do, he is an excellent wing man.

General comments: I was there for 5 days and it was a blast. Panama city may not be as much fun or cheap as it was may be 5 years ago, but still is a very good place to monger. I am saying this after my trip to MDE as I flew directly from MDE to PTY :-) You might wonder why, but I had to for several reasons you won't be interested in. Rain is not that bad and did not effect mongering at all.

Don't get upset my friend. Personally, I did not take any girls out of Le Palace or Elite. Yes I did get phone numbers and yes I called them and No, no one answered them at 4 AM or early afternoon....Habanos and Bodeguita girls were way more reliable in answering their phones than the "strippers"......but that is a different story.

What I meant was that the cab got paid just to take us there and may be I should have clarified that. You have to pay a cover to get into the strip clubs like Elite and even Golden time if you look like a foreigner, regardless if you took a cab or not. And, it is the same price with or without the cab. So, you might as well take a known cabbie that speaks english and let the club pay the cab. We were more than one person so the cabbie made a lot of money.

To be more specific: At Elite, the cab gets paid to take you there and they charge you cover. At La palace, I think the cab gets paid only if you take a girl out (this is an un ascertained assumption). I spoke to three girls at La Palace over one hour time period and not one girls asked me if I came in a cab. May be they would have charged me more later .......

At Elite, if you take a girl out, you will be upcharged $50+ if you came in a cab. At Le palace, you will be upcharged $50+ if you take a girl out if you came in a cab. At Golden Time, you will be upcharged $10-$30+ also if you came in a cab. These are all facts. Its much cheaper to pay the $3 for the cab to let you off nearby. I've done them all, many times. Just want to make sure the members here don't think its a good idea to take cabs to these places in return for free dropoffs.

It's $87 if you drive yourself or walk up (have a cab drop you nearby and walk in yourself). If you show up in a cab it will be around $100 or more as that money goes to the cab driver as commission. The cab to get you there should cost no more than $2 and you'll be paying a "commission" of $15 or more per person if you wind up with a girl.

My time was limited in pty so had to seek out the high quality girls fast. I know the stratagey is completely different if you live or have extended stays in a mongering city. As for the taxi debate there are taxi scams in every city and we've all been scamed once or twice. Alot of the girls insists on taking the club's taxi which cost more because she feels safer or its a scam by the club. But it depends how you want to define getting scamed vs p2p in the game.

I know GT charges more if you come in taxi because you get stuck with color sticker on your shirt so you pay more. At Elite you pay a cover charge 20 for 4 drinks after 3am or 30 for all you can drink. The cabi waits outside and gets a cut of the cover. They really only cared about what hotel I'm at to see if it is chica friendly. They are super aggressive in you buying them a drink which is complete turn off after 3 sentences they ask for a drink. The girls there were avg imo. Was told 165 by waiter as house fee to take out. Didn't bother asking the girls how much because none of them interested me.

Went to MP's Caribbean and the place next to it, Moulin Rouge and the girls there were avg imo. The prices are almost the same as GT without me coming in a cab but maybe higher for me since I'm a gringo. Veneto and the restuarant across the street had the same girls there every night which was ok if you like free lancers but one thing I don't like about free lancers is the bigger risk involved and zero quality control unlike the girls that work at clubs because of their work contract deal. I don't worry to much about a girl from a club stealing my shit or running off before the time is up because they can be tracked down easily. The girls can come in on a work contract visa for 9 months or less but are not allowed to come back for 5 months so I'm told by a few girls. They need to go to the club at night or else they need to pay the same house fee supposily. Also these girls are required to go get a check up at a clinic on Tuesdays and get updated vaccines etc. This why I don't mind paying extra for the girls at clubs vs some private house or freelancers. The p2p club and MP scene is huge in Brasil and it isn't even controlled like that.

I can not give out 10's unless I can see them in clear day light when I'm more sober LOL. It was my last night and I wanted to have fun so I took 2 girls out and had the one of the best time of my life.
