She was the sexiest girl I met in 7 days of intensive and extensive mongering in CTG. It's nice to see so many new pics of her. (besides those which she sent me by email) Thanks for posting. If you have any more, don't mind to share. (but in prvt, not on the board. I am afraid that some of her family sees her)

In summary, Alejandra told me that she was doing that only since 3 months. Her friend was Angy, a hot girl from Antiochia (? ), who however looked much more pro. I "fell in love" (so to say, don't worry, I'm not stupid) with Alejandra because she was just 18 (so she said) and looked really new-to-the-business.

She is from CTG! Her family is really living there, somewhere outside centre, but she lived alone in Getsemani (where I accompanied her on foot at night).

After my return home, she started to write me emails and she insisted to chat with me on MSN (with her real name and last name, supposedly) every day! She was very angry and sad, when I could not chat with her. For months and months she insisted to tell me that I was her love, that she stopped with prostitution, that she went back living with family.

I am not stupid, so I could not believe it, but honestly I was perplex to see how happy she was to see me on MSN.
Based on what she told me from Jan to May 2008 (and I believed this! ), in these months:
- she should have been living at home, with parents, spending all time studying at university where she is now a good student;
- after having stopped nightlife, she started university, to find a honest job;
- she is now a totally different girl.

I am planning to go back to CTG next December.
Before reading DB's posts and seeing her photos, I was wondering about meeting her or not. I was thinking to not tell her that I am going there, to be free to spend my nights at clubs, even if I know she's a sweetie.

Now what? DB opened my eyes. If I go to LDV, I may find her there. What a surprise for both. ! Can you imagine? LOL!

Another funny thing about her. After some months, she started to send me spam emails (you know, invitations to social networks like facebook, etc.) or forward poems, etc. She sends out emails to a long list of recipients, ALL IN CLEAR IN THE TO: FIELD. Well, we all love privacy, so it is nice to see how many lovers she has, and to see all email addresses

DB, are you one of those I saw in the emails? I am one of those. Nice to find you there too.
It is also funny to see that she attached comments to each email address. For example:
EL AMOR DE MI VIDA john smith <johnsmithatjohnsmith. Edu
PUTANERA maria maria <mariaatmaria. Edu
Etc. Etc.
(no, I don't give you the address of the girl named "putanera")

In conclusion, is there anybody who met her? When? May I know if she worked at LDV all this year? Any nice tale to tell me about her? (better in PM, maybe)

PS: Why do I write all this? This is kind of warning: folks, never, never fall in love with a chica met in a club in CTG.

Of course, there are no weather seasons in CTG (its always hot as hell), but it seems that there are times where there is more action and less competition and other times where the provider to gringo ratio screams in the wrong direction (I was there in the spring and there were a lot of buyers).

Would a CTG regular care to way in on the ebb and flow of that ratio throughout the year?

I'm going back in early December, so I'll have another point of reference then... but there are a lot more knowledgeable guys on this forum.

Actually Cartagena does have seasons. But you are right its always HOT! There, its just a matter of HOT or HOT AND RAINY. It has been my observation that September thru mid November is the rainy season there.

Christmas time till about the second Tuesday in January is always a zoo in CTG, and high prices too (worst time of year to go to CTG IMHO)

Semana Santa (EASTER) is always a VERY busy time as well for Colombians in CTG.

I can't comment on June and July, because I have not been there those months, I have heard anecdotally its a favorite Colombian holiday time though.

August is the Itallion invasion as well as the ever present Israelis.

September and October is dead and RAINY!

Late November is the Miss Colombia pagent VERY CROWEDED indeed!

IMHO best time to hit CTG is just after the Miss Colombia, in early December. Girls are trying hard to earn extra christmas money!

In Feb. and March it is not quite so hot. It never rains. And the crowds are not so bad. Those are the best 2 months of the year for CTG. October is the rainiest month of the year. It sucks.

More action generally means more people and higher lodging costs. The busiest time of the year is 12/15 to 1/15. The second busiest is Easter Week. The next two busiest times are 11/1 to 11/15, the Miss Colombia Pageant, and 6/20 to 7/20, Colombian summer school vacation.

The majority of my time in Colombia is spent in Medellin. However with that being said I was in Cartagena for several days towards the end of July,2007 and it was totally a buyers market. Each night in LVD there was only myself and a handfull of other gringos. It really made for an enjoyable visit and I was paying 200K for TLNs each night. In the event that I were to visit Cartagena again I would make sure that I was visiting at a time of similar circumstances.

Good luck to you.[/QUOTE]Agree, avoid travelling from Colombia to Venezuela, too dangerous, epecially alone, American and inexperienced. Cartagena, Panama and Costa Rica are safe: take a sailing ship from Cartagena to Panama instead, really nice!

This woman needs to learn about "bcc: " so she doesn't let her 100 special boyfriends know about each other. There's just something endearing about Cartagena hookers and the way they try to extract money from us. Like the one who must have left about 10 messages on my recorder asking me to send her money for brain surgery. I was on a "passing karma" kick at the time, where I'd been really good to other people and had been really lucky in return. So I probably would have sent her the money. Hey, $300 for brain surgery.- it sounded like a bargain. But she never gave me a phone number that would work. She gave me her number, her friends number and her mothers number, and not a one worked! I am about to head back to Cartagena and I wanted to know hows the talent/quality/quanity out there at this moment at the Casas/LDV! Looking to bang as many quality looking chicas as I can but if their not avaliable I might have break out the black book of quality chicas I banged the last time out there, damn I hate repeats. LOL.

Is there a boat from Colon to Cartegena or some way to travel from Panama to Cartegena other than air. AA has some cheap flights to Panama but nothing to Cartagena.

There is boat service, but I know little about it.

I think that AA still serves BAQ. BAQ to CTG is only around 1 1/2 hours by bus. AA does serve MDE and BOG. You can get flights to CTG from there.

I left MIA on 8/28 and Hurricane Gustav was smack dab in-between MIA and CTG; they nicely went around it, not a single bump. Ditto on the way back with Hurricane Ike. New planes, great service, can't complain.

For roughly the same price I think Avianca is a much better service than Spirit. Spirit is inferior in my opinion.
