Another shameless MONGO (My Own NGO) trolling for money.
Obviously chose Thailand for the nice hotels and restaurants. Unbelievable drivel.
Yes, this video seemed orchestrated to seek out money for some kind of cause (NGO), only to come to LOS and blow it up on nothing.
I do hope in the event that the Swedish gentleman's story is not fake that he gets a plane ride back from his government or else a lot of people may get caught in a some kind of a scam sending in their donations.
Everyone said don't go to Rajah, crap quality and no performance but unfortunately I read one good review and I had to try.
Damage: 2600+tip.
I just came back from Rajah Hotel.
The receptionist said that all women were 3100 THB.
How did you get the price of 2600 THB?
Did the receptionist ripped me off or what?
Which bars in Soi Cowboy have bar fines (as opposed to coyotes) other than Bacarra and Suzy Wongs? I went inside a few other bars and found out too late they are only coyote bars, and no bar fine. But I forgot the names.

I think you found the arabs bars. Hint, if no customers ask if bf available. Go to the other side of the soi.
I think you found the arabs bars. Hint, if no customers ask if bf available. Go to the other side of the soi.
All of the so called Arab's bars (there are seven of them) Rio, Kiss, Deja Vu, Midnite, Sahara, Rawhide, and one more bar that I can't recall at the moment, should be avoided. Over the years there have been many warnings and bad experiences posted about these bars. Basically they are rip off joints that specialize in high priced drinks, hidden charges, strong arm tactics, and bait and switch with the girls. You can usually tell when you have wandered into one of these bars based on the high gloss and lack of customers. How they continue to stay a float despite the poor volume of business they generate is open to conjecture. Some think they are money laundering operations and others think they are part of some real estate speculation. In any case I would advise avoiding these bars unless you are entranced by the bright lights and can't help yourself. Just don't say you were not warned.

That leaves Spice girls, Long gun and Shark who have attractive ladies.
Tilac, I am removing from list as I heard hottest dancers are not available for barfine.
Makes me wonder should I straightaway head for Nana plaza?

If the Swede had gone to Las Vegas and gambled all his money away, I doubt the Sweden government would pay his airfare home.
If the guy really wants to go back to Sweden, he has other resources (family) that he has decided not to use. The guy is not Sweden's problem; he's Thailand's problem. If his visa has expired, Thailand can arrest and expel him.
What do you think is the fastest way to get from the airport to Nana BTS station on Wednesday at about 8 am, airport rail link or taxi?
Definitely rail link in then taxi. Unless you want to take MRT or hump it to BTS from rail link station.
About 15 years ago, I was in Lima, Peru and meet a guy who claimed to be a "homeless" American who had been robbed of all his possessions. He gave me some strange story as to why the US embassy wouldn't help him. I took pity and gave him $20. A couple of days later, I told someone of this guy's plight and I was told that this guy was well-known for giving foreign tourists his sad story. He'd been doing it for many years. Interestingly, I've read of similar "stories" of "homeless" Americans, Germans, Dutch, etc in Quito, Rio, Mexico City, and Phuket.
It's possible there might be some truth to this guy's story, but it seems more like a scam especially when a fundraiser is involved. Who controls how the money is spent? Is he going to use the money to buy a ticket home or will he continue to stay in Bangkok? If he returns back to Sweden, he'll still be homeless.
This guy's so full of shit. He's looks to be a slightly mentally impaired vagrant. LA is full of 'them. They always have some sort of excuse why they can't do such and such, but if you give them some money, well, that'll help.
He can't go to the embassy because he "lost some documents?" Seriously?
Spot on- - if he goes back to Sweden he'll still be homeless. He was probably the next best thing to homeless when he lived there.
I would not know for beerbars, in Bangkok I'm strictly an a-gogo and MP guy.
BF it is pretty much 600 in bars too.

The whole story, as presented, sounds like a scam.
He doesn't have the paperwrok to go back home but he stays, open air, in Nana area and the police did not spot him (yet)? Come on. Even after 10 beers I would not believe this.
Not to mention the story of the girls helping him out but he refusing to take all support.
He went through surgery in BKK? And how did he pay?
Baccara = not worth going unless you are Japanese?
Are you kidding me? Around 200 girls work there, not all are pretty, but most have clearly something pretty, cute or some equivalent of that. And more than 50% prefer to go with farang. Especially the ones on 1st floor. Just my experience from Nov. 2013 until may 2014.
And let's not forget Soi Cowboy also have Crazy House, actually it is just around the corner.
So for normal barfine (600/700) Soi Cowboy gives us: Baccara, Crazy House, Long Gun, Spice Girls, Suzie Wong and the underestimated Shark gogo next to Baccara.
Happy hunting to all, I really miss it.
