I agree with NF, the girls at oilies never expect a tip but the girls in the soapies around Ratchada kind of expect a 500baht tip. I rarely tip at oilies but normally do give the girls at the soapies 500 baht. This is due partly to the fact that at oilies, the girls get the whole 1500 baht you give them while at the soapies they only get half of what you give the house. Sometimes it is even lower especially if some of the poor girls that don't know any better sign up with an agent. One of my friends that is heavy into the soapie scene and knows a lot of the mamasans and papasans say some of the girls really have a hard time. I'm not advocating to tip with poor service but just keep in perspective how lucky we are with the standard of living we have compared to them.

Well, yes it is fair to underpay if one thinks that the fee is linked with the girl's performance but sadly (for us) it isn't.

The way they think (and the way it is actually) is that the moment you insert your dick (even partially) in the pussy, you need to pay 1,500. Time does not matter, you can last a full hour or even 2 seconds, the price stays the same.

Here is what I do: I never tip a girl unless she went above and beyond the call of duty. Her giving me an above average sex experience will certainly be rewarded with a (or several) return visit, however, if she offers additional services (anal, 2 shots, CIM and the likes), I will most likely reward her for it with a tip (over and above the initial 1,500).

Be warned: Tipping left and right can be dangerous!

Speak for youself, sir. These girls certainly make more than I or the vast majority of Western teachers in Thailand, and in fact no doubt make more than lots of people in the USA. And that in a country with a somewhat lower cost of living.

Look at it this way - girls in these places make around 2,000-3,000 baht per day, estimating conservatively. So say 60,000 baht per month, most of it untaxed. The average farang teacher in Thailand makes 35,000, and much of the working class back home makes no more than her, in a country where rent is $500-1,000/month.

So please don't misapply pity to these girls - they're raking it in, and doing something which comes naturally.

Yes I know about the older Thai 'hen' clubs. They aren't necessarily looking for Farang dick, but young dick, in general. They often have private parties with hi-priced Thai gigilos as well as lower end Patpong style gogo boys. But, I also know of some that go after younger Farang working in offices and especially in schools. For example, there was a 30 year old (unqualified) Farang English teacher (American) at my uni who became the boy-toy of the late 40s Thai department head. She came from a well-healed Thai family and had lots of money when she met him. After a couple of years of basically keeping this guy in the manner to which he was unaccustomed, including a penthouse in the Farang ghetto around Suk 26, a car, trips, clothes, jewelry etc. he had all but bankrupted her, and in the end scammed her for the last 200,000 of her personal part of the family money and then buggered off to Vietnam.

I know of several other such stories. It's more common than is generally known.

1. I like the daytime. Where can I meet lovelies during the day? By day, I mean pre 4ish. Yes, I am aware of soapies, oilies, etc.

I have to think the issue is volume ans quality in day vs. night.

2. Do you know the optimum hours for Thermae and the Beer Garden? Are these daytime places or after the clubs close places?

The Beer Garden is mainly a daytime venue -----even though it is still open at night.

Thermae is only open at night, starts to get lively from 23-00.

You will struggle to find "quality" in either venue ---in my opinion.

Had a few really nice ones from both venues - and now its low season, less "package tour types" around as high air fares take their toll as well, the level of girls freelancing has gotten much better over the past few weeks. Not a lot around, but a few that are certainly above "average".

I am going to be working very hard in both Bangkok and Pattaya soon. 2 weeks of serious mongering.
