Being local I can only say one thing: Thank God we are not like other venues, cause that would mean that Mexico would be all screwed up, down the drain, the pits...
And you have to be totally realistic... you just can't compare SEA with Mexico as you can't compare Mexico with Colombia or with Brazil.
The same way you can't compare Phillipines with Thailand or Thailand with Indonesia....

Whether we choose to act on that knowledge in a certain way is merely a matter of differing styles.

With respect to the dilemmas you mention...

Most of the dilemmas I go through are because of my expectations for the Monterrey venue, expectations that I have projected onto a venue that does not compare to what I have experienced elsewhere. It is the fault of the venue, and not a fault of ours that we are experiencing these issues.

Ask anyone that regularly visits worldwide venues. Ask them to compare TJ or Monterrey, or anything to be experienced in Mexico compared to other worldwide venues, and they will tell you in harsh terms of comparison just how poor Mexico is.

In my case, I have been able to find a similiar quality of experience to the preferred worldwide venues, but only after a signficant amount of searching, and loads of money. Yes, we have a lot to learn in order to make things happen in Monterrey the way we want them to happen. But, there is an old saying..."you can not make a silk purse out of sows ear." Monterrey is still Mexico, and attitudes, relative affluence compared to other third world venues, format, etc...are all contributing against us.

If we experience "issues" in Monterrey, it is on account of the venue itself, and not neccessarily something we ourselves are contributing to. This, all this harsh criticism, coming from a guy that loves MTY.[/QUOTE]

With respect to openly dealing with more than one girl. Remember, it is the single damaging element in my "fight" with Angry Girl, who is no longer available to me as a consequence. The initial altercation between us would not have exacerbated into its present form had I not started taking hords of other girls upstairs and bar fining them right under her nose. So, it can backfire. In her case, it doesn't matter to me, but it can cause you to lose the one you are particular "satisfied" with, depending on the girl.

Yes, I agree with Carlos’ story about Tanya. She tried so hard. Initially, she stood us up and that was all it took. We dragged X and J girls from the dance club and took'em back with us. I kept telling her that if she does not want to hang out with us, that's cool, just don't, here it comes, waste our time. We have better things to do than to just wait around for you. Then the next move was to take P and S girls out together right from under their noses for 6 or 7 hours of one of the best nights we ever had. We even paid them double and they were well worth it. Tanya was boiling with anger. But hey, she asked for it and she got it.

What's ironic in all this is that Tanya and P are good friends. But the way I see it, Tanya is taking advantage of P. I even warned P about that. I hope she listens, and I think she did. She stopped following and now she's leading.

OK. Back to the time wasted point. Yes, agree again. It is me who does not want to waste time, not the girls. I patronize the girls same as you guys do, same amount of salida money, same amount of girl fees, generally, unless they agree to less money. If they take less money, then I take advantage of them.

But, the truth is, if I only take one or two girls out, it's because I do not anticipate that the certain girls will perform to my expectations, or I have determined from prior experience that they are not worth the money.

Remember, I conduct my interviews in the privados. I am not looking for sex, but a good GFE, like I find in the PI, Thailand, Colombia, etc., etc, etc...The girls think they know what I want because they are used to delivering their brand of "excitement" to an otherwise clueless constituency. Most of the locals in Monterrey are clueless with respect to what is available worldwide, so they accept "shitty" service. It's kind of the same thing in the US. You don't know how bad you have it until you "go to the mountain top." The reality is, the majority of them, Monterrey and US providers, could not hold a candle to girls I have known in other venues....that's just the simple truth.

Remember, I had bar fined "G" almost two years ago. She liked me then, but did not know me well. It is only after she got to know me better, decided she was interested, and pursued me, that I became interested in her. She has the same GFE attitude of the girls in other venues. The problem is, I expect that the philosophy of the average MTY bar girl will begin to corrupt her thinking eventually, and she will sour, just as Angry Girl soured over time. I sincerely hope that's not the case, but I anticipate it.

You see, it is the attitude of the girls that dictates whether "they" will be a part of my harem or not. If they don't have the attitude, they will not interest me. It is up to them. I am actually more demanding than most other patrons in Monterrey.

If the girls think that I am not "good business" then they will sit in their respective clubs and do privados until they are blue in the face to earn their 25 pesos per song. Conversely, they could go on salida with me, provide a reasonable length of time in which to romance them, give a heartfelt performance, or a real display of interest, makes no difference to me, and they will prosper at the tune of 1000 pesos for two hours, literally 50 times what they would make if they remained in the club doing privados and selling drinks for that same amount of time. Plus, they would receive the royal treatment from me in the process.

You see, it is the attitude of many of the girls that stinks. Keep in mind, I love Monterrey. I have found a number of girls I like. But, some of them are either jealous, stupid, lazy, or all three. There is little cream that rises to the top of the bottle. There is significant "crap" to have to endure in order to find a few good providers in Mexico, as was recently illustrated by the frustrations experienced by RTW and his Obsession girl. And, how many times have we all been through the "crap" associated with patronizing new girls, the no-shows, the scam artists, the short-timers, etc., etc, etc...I could go on for days about the "crap" I have had to endure from Mexican bar girls.

I have the money...now if they only had the brains to do their jobs. Most of your comments, Carlos, about comparing MTY to other venues are correct, but they are "reasons" why the other venues surpass Monterrey with respect to GFE and attitudes. I agree with your assessment as to why, but that doesn't change the dynamic of how things are. The reasons for why things are have no bearing on what "IS" when comparing the venues.

I am first to admit that I project onto Monterrey an unfair expectation when comparing it to other venues...you are right, that is my problem. But, I can't change my sphere of experience, and Monterrey is a much more difficult venue to work in comparison. But, none-the-less I am able to work it and acheive the satisfaction I am looking for, all be it at a greater expense, and with a more modest number of girls, mostly due to their own ineptitude.

With respect to a comparison of Colombia, Costa Rica, Thailand and the PI, the reasons stated above are the reasons the girls in those venues deliver a markedly better experience than what is typical of Mexico.

Don't misunderstand my comments. I love Monterrey too. I am able to get GFE in Monterrey, and with significantly less travel commitments, and the accompanying expense that might be required traveling to Asia or Central America. But, the quality of experience in those "notorious" other venues is noticeably, markedly better statistically than what is available in Mexico, Monterrey included.

The girls in those venues, IMHO, are not as attractive as the girls in Monterrey. But, even as less attractive providers, they consistently deliver a better experience, as any world traveler will testify, mostly due to the shear force of their superior service level, personalities, attentiveness, desire, etc., etc, etc...If the girls of Monterrey would simply work harder on selling me, they would achieve their ultimate goal, which is to make money. But, until I see them making some kind of respectable effort, fewer of them are going to find me patronizing them.

This reply is directed at all concerned and not necessarily directed as a reply to WastedG's commentary below...

I think we are all arguing the same thing, but in different ways. We all have our "preferences." Our preferences are not "right" or "wrong," they just "ARE what they ARE."

I patronize girls that "D*E*L*I*V*E*R" the goods. I do not give them the time of day if they do not work me. I am not chasing them, they are chasing me. So, you see, we all agree. Just because I settle on a smaller flock does not mean I am any less demanding than the rest of you. It just means I am finding a lesser number of girls that are acceptable to me. The girls in the "I" place believe they have me figured out. They haven't a clue, because most of them do not interest me.

Take "G" for example, if she starts to get lazy, she will not enjoy a mutually beneficial arrangement, not financially, and not emotionally. I can give her both, and do. If I do not pay her one day, I make up for it in other ways the next. She does not ask me for money, nor does she expect it. I always pay anyway, one way or another, in one form or another, just to keep everything on track.

"G" would see me anyway, money or not, because we get along well as friends. But, even more so, we get along really well sexually and emotionally. So, I know what is motivating her forward, and it isn't the money. But, I am also no fool. I realize that the money will ultimately be the bottom line, if not now, then eventually.

Unfortunately, when she transitions to money being her primary motivational factor, her attitude will reflect that transition in her, and she will also likely loose her appeal with me.

So, if she is smart, she will analyse what she is doing now, and continue it. If she does that, she will continue to get contributions that far exceed anything she would earn in the form of salidas, both monetarily, and otherwise...just like a real novio/novia. That is what we both seem to want. I want the GFE, and she seems to want the BFE (Boy Friend Experience). I can do that!!!

I am really surprised the girls think they have me sized up at the Infinito. They all realize that for five years I have been bar fining girls from the Infinito. They all realize that, at least for the first four years, I would bar fine a girl almost every night, usually a different girl every night. If I find a particular girl I like best, I will usually patronize her more than the others because she is better than the others, not out of some sense of faithfulness.

In addition, because I utilize salidas to interview prospects, they should also realize that I spread money around in the privados. I usually spend no less than probably 500-800 pesos a night in the privados, usually between only three bars, the first and foremost being El Infinito, then El Cielo, then Matehuela. But El Infinito is my primary bar.

If I spend the money in the privados, it is up to them to spark my interest, verdad? That is what "G" did, and that is why she maintains her lofty position with me. That is also what Angry Girl did before she adopted the lazy, independent Mexican bar girl attitude.

They all realize I have the money to "spread around." What I don't understand, and what illustrates their ineptitude, is their lack of conscientousness. Most of the girls in the Infinito act like they are God's gift to us all, and that we must pursue them like we are in high school. You see, I have the same opinion as you guys have, in that I believe they have an obligation to pursue me as a customer, not the other way around. If they choose to go the lazy stereotypical route, then I am not interested in them, pure and simple.

It simply illustrates that most of them are typically lazy bar girls, girls that are simply bolstering the already defamatory stereotypical reputation of the typical Mexican bar girl.

We all comment regularly, including Carlos, just how lazy the girls all sometimes appear to be, especially when visiting clubs like Prestige and Obsession. How many times do we see them sitting off in a dark corner doing nothing for hours on end. Literally, if they were more "attentive," I would probably at least buy them a drink occassionally. But, I will not patronize girls that do not make an effort with me.

As you all have indicated "WE" are the customers, right? See, I think we all agree.

Yes, I agree with Carlos’ story about Tanya. She tried so hard. Initially, she stood us up and that was all it took. We dragged X and J girls from the dance club and took'em back with us. One thing must be made clear about this. My gang at my Yahoo group has seen the pictures of SEA... they don't care a bit about the girls.
I have made comments about this, that SEA girls are comparable to low class native Mexicans, girls that we wouldn't touch at all.

You have to understand another aspect you have to work against: club girls in Mexico consider themselves way above the girls form other venues too, even if they don't know the conditions over there. Girls here have a bigger chance of getting ahead than those in SEA. Even if they don't get the money to "get ahead" they can just go and work in a regular paying job that pays better than the salaries a working girl can get in Central America or SA.
This is arrogance and you have to find a way around that.

You have to work agains a bigger factor and we have talked about it sometimes, but now with an added element.
Clubs here are frequented by people with money. Worse not only money but clients much younger than us.
Locals in the range of 20 somethings and 30 somethings with money and willing to spend that money as opposed to foreigners being the guys with money in places like Thailand et al.
That is hard to deal with but not impossible to beat.
And talking about money, Monterrey is cheap compared clubwise to other cities, like Guadalajara an Mexico City. Even the small cities are more expensive than us.
Unbelievable but true and worse part is that they have paying customers over there too.
I don't mention here the border cities... girl material over there is awful. I've seen the pictures...
Again, we as clients have to deal with the arrogance of the girls, that we are there for them, not the other way around. I have learned to deal around that bit succesfully.
How, you ask?
1. I let them know am not dumb.
2. I tell them first hand I know every single club, cheaper than the one Iam at, so at the first sign of dissapointment I'll go elsewhere.
3. I discipline the girls to my ways, not the other way around.

I sincerely hope that's not the case, but I anticipate it.

You see, it is the attitude of the girls that dictates whether "they" will be a part of my harem or not. If they don't have the attitude, they will not interest me. It is up to them. I am actually more demanding than most other patrons in Monterrey.

If the girls think that I am not "good business" then they will sit in their respective clubs and do privados until they are blue in the face to earn their 25 pesos per song. Conversely, they could go on salida with me, provide a reasonable length of time in which to romance them, give a heartfelt performance, or a real display of interest, makes no difference to me, and they will prosper at the tune of 1000 pesos for two hours, literally 50 times what they would make if they remained in the club doing privados and selling drinks for that same amount of time. Plus, they would receive the royal treatment from me in the process.

You see, it is the attitude of many of the girls that stinks. Keep in mind, I love Monterrey. I have found a number of girls I like. But, some of them are either jealous, stupid, lazy, or all three. There is little cream that rises to the top of the bottle. There is significant "crap" to have to endure in order to find a few good providers in Mexico, as was recently illustrated by the frustrations experienced by RTW and his Obsession girl. I am first to admit that I project onto Monterrey an unfair expectation when comparing it to other venues...you are right, that is my problem. But, I can't change my sphere of experience, and Monterrey is a much more difficult venue to work in comparison. But, none-the-less I am able to work it and acheive the satisfaction I am looking for, all be it at a greater expense, and with a more modest number of girls, mostly due to their own ineptitude.

With respect to a comparison of Colombia, Costa Rica, Thailand and the PI, the reasons stated above are the reasons the girls in those venues deliver a markedly better experience than what is typical of Mexico.

I am able to get GFE in Monterrey, and with significantly less travel commitments, and the accompanying expense that might be required traveling to Asia or Central America. I agree with everything you said in your post. You are, as always, right on the money. We actually agree with one another usually anyway, on almost everything, but we express it differently, and with different "preferences" in mind.

The most important point that I must reiterate is that I love Monterrey, it's girls, it's format, my amigos, etc...But, if I were able to transplant the girls of Monterrey to the PI, that would be nirvana. The Mexican look would be heaven in a place like the PI where the economics would motivate a preferrable attitude from the Mexican looking girls. Of course, then I would have difficulties traveling that far. So, for that reason, I am satisfied with my prospects in Monterrey, and I make it work to the best of my ability.

Therefore, I have to agree with your local amigos with respect to the appearance of the Asian girls versus the Mexican girls. The Mexican girls in the clubs of MTY, IMHO, are much more attractive than most of the Asian girls I've found, at least as a statistical comparison of attractiveness per capita in the respective bars in the venues we're discussing.

There ARE exceptions however. For example, in Manila, the Edsa Bars are just overflowing with breathtakingly beautiful girls, I mean real HOTTIES. They will cost you about 600 pesos for todo la noche, and their attitudes are totally compliant, and they are happy to stay with you for as long as you want them, sometimes at cut rates, just for the privilege of having you patronize them as a client. They are totally HOT, totally compliant, no clock watching, NO no-shows, etc...

But, to understand the full meaning of my former comments in previous posts, you have to also observe the kind of girls I seek. The best way for me to illustrate this is to use examples. The following example applies to the kind of girls I seek when I conduct interviews in MTY.

For example, as you know, I have recently latched onto a girl in MTY that is not considered attractive to most Mexican men...that being my "G". She is also aware of this, that being her "plain" quality as judged by most Mexican males. I believe that by she being aware of her "plain" appearance, it probably plays a key role in her having an absolutely outstanding attitude.

I've developed an attraction for her as a result of her personality and her affection level. If I were to consider her strictly on looks, she would still be a contender, because of her perfect arse, and her really hard body, but other than that, she has just an "acceptable" looking ethnically Mexican face.

But, "perfect arse" and hard body aint bad, verdad? When I finally got to know her better, she charmed the socks off me...the socks, the shirt, the pants...hahahaha!!! The ethnic "ordinary" Mexican facial appearance became of no significance to me whatsoever.

The important point is that, I am most attracted to girls that have hard bodies, reasonably pretty faces, flacas, preferrably morenas, etc...To my taste, as a Gringo, "G" is not ugly, but she by comparison could be described at times as relatively plain. She definitely has a strong ethnic Mexican look. But, there are other times that I look at her and feel that she is a very pretty girl, in all respects.

I, as a Gringo, am not repulsed by that ethnic look, as some locals might be due to socio-economic race related biases. Sometimes when I look at her, I realize there are prettier girls available, even according to my Gringo preferences. But, for me, her face is perfectly acceptable and she is certainly "doable," even if I were to evaluate her from afar, not really knowing her in advance. And, as I said, her face, while ethinically Mexican, has an almost transformed quality to it. There are times that I contemplate her face as being quite beautiful.

Frankly, my desire for her looks now has increased as I have gotten to know her better. It is like her personality, and the force of her genuine affection for me, have made her face even more attractive to me. Of course, her arse and body never needed any help :-)

But, the difference between this Gringo, and his stated preferences, is the foundation for what might be difficult for others to understand, especially for local Mexicanos with preconceived ethnic biases toward certain kinds of beauty, or their perceived lack thereof.

The difference between "beauty" and "ordinary" can be summed up in one word, "attitude." That is the gyst of a GFE kind of perspective, and it's what makes the third world venues have such notoriety when many of the girls are simply ordinary in overall appearance.

You see, I would rather have a girl with an ordinary appearance, a hard, body, and a great attitude, than a girl with a great physical appearance, pretty face, hard body, and a medicro "mirror watching" attitude. I have had both, and at this juncture, I will generally avoid the later.

Conversely, I can be very happy with a girl of ordinary appearance for quite a long time, and have little desire to stray, if in fact by straying it messes up the GFE dynamic long term.

That is what distinguishes me, perhaps, from some of my collegues that regularly travel to Monterrey, and from my amigos, some of the locals living in Monterrey. :-) I am a sucker for the GFE...

Don't misunderstand my comments as a defense of "G" from my perspective. For my part, I always thought she was a pretty girl. No, I am responding to what Carlos has described to me as the way the Mexican male views my angel.

Carlos has always told me that to the eyes of a Mexican male, "G's" facial features are not attractive. I do not agree from my point of view, but I respect the premise, a premise put forth by Carlos himself, that some girls are viewed differently by their own kind than we as Gringos might imagine.

Even "G" has confirmed this with me, telling me she is not popular with the men, that she is not considered pretty, that she does not like her hair, that she wants to have fake, bigger boobs, that she does not like her arse....can you believe it??? She does not like her arse!!!!!! I have told her not to change a thing, that I love her breasts, that I love her hair, that I love her body, that I love her face, lips, everything...and I do. I told her to never change. Most of all, I told her not to get fake boobs...

I think she is literally heaven on earth when I see her, and I have told her so many times.

But, to futher illustrate what I am talking about...

Take the girls in Asia for example. Most of the brown skinned girls in Asia are looked down upon, and significantly so, by the males in their society. The girls sometimes go to great lengths, using "white face" makeup, to lighten their skin color significantly in an effort to be more attractive to the eligible males in their society. Conversely, when we Farang (Gringos) go to Thailand, or the PI, or Indonesia, etc...we adore the brown skinned girls, just as I also adore the brown skinned morenas of Mexico, South America, and Colombia...

The racial biases are alive and well in most of the world. And, while these subjects are politically incorrect to acknowledge and discuss here in the USA, they are not denied with any degree of embarassment by the populace in those countries where the racial bias exists. It is politically incorrect here, but not so politically or socially incorrect to acknowledge these truths within those respective societies. It is, in fact, common knowledge among the locals, and rather accepted by the masses.

It is especially common to hear the girls of Mexico, the morenas, openly wishing to have a Gringo baby. Be very careful...they are NOT kidding. It is that big a deal within the lower ethnic classes. I can not tell you the numbers of girls that have expressed an interest in having my baby. They were not kidding when they said it.

Regarding my angel...

In "G's" case, she is my angel, truly...I would never criticize her appearance other than to illustrate the differences that exist with respect to "preferences," most of which is rooted in ethnic racial biases. I would never have formerly imagined her to be "undesireable" among her own kind because she is so sweet, pretty, and loveable. But, none-the-less, it IS the case.

It is also quite possibly one of the reasons she is attracted to me, and one of the reasons she likes being seen with me in public, holding my hand, clutching my arm, sitting in the movies and necking with me, all under circumstances where some girls, especially due to the age discrepency, may not want to be seen with me in public. I am aware of all the sociology that goes along with this kind of dynamic.

It doesn't matter "why" to me, I am just greatful the dynamic exists. I love the attention she gives me. I am usually careful to spare her any embarrassment when we are out by making sure that we conduct ourselves as descretely as possible. But, if we depart from that routine, it is she that usually starts it, and I suspect her public displays are a kind of trophy exhibition on her part....Look what I found!!!

We, as Gringos, are not only pursued in Monterrey because of our money. There is another motivator at work. I am totally and completely aware of the power behind that sociology, and greatful for the advantage it gives me over some of the locals.

Some of the locals, such as Carlos, have the advantage too because they are of the upper class of European decent. They are in demand as well, and the girls would die to have their babies, and worm their way into the lives of the upper class of European decent.

You are right about one thing for sure..."G" is sooooooo sweet. I can not tell you of any other girl, bar girl or not, that has impressed me like she has. But, frankly, she impresses me because she has taken a seemingly sincere interest in me, and her attentions seem, at least on the surface, and for the present, that they are sincere.

I will return to MTY in a couple of weeks to see if she is still as captivated as she has seemingly been. At the risk of sounding negative, as I have mentioned before, I fully anticipate her losing interest in me, the Gringo novelty. Something always seems to screw up a good thing whenever Mexican bar girls are involved. But for now, I love being with her.
