Laredo and leaving from Reynosa. See my post #2951 below with my experience from Nvo. Laredo to MTY. Nobody even bothered to challenge me on the Mexican side, much less issue me a tourist card, and the bus ran non-stop all the way, both ways, never a check or a toll booth. I think I'll go back in November, and so I'm doing my homework now. I really appreciate this forum's suggestions for good hotels, most of all.

Card is very easy to get in Nuevo Laredo, and for stays of less than 7 days, it's free.
