Tony the sweetheart
I have known Tony for 8 years. Let's see, he is a pimp, hustles, uses chicas, lies, speaks some English and has no embarrassment when asking for money or asking a chica to suck your dick. He is laughable, prdictable and probably has an IQ of 85-90. He has pissed me off for being so greedy and acts like a hardened ***** most of the time. If he gets your phone # he will call you all day and occasionally show up at your apartment if you do not make it clear that it will result in you going elsewhere.
The good news is that he sometimes gets chicas that are both new and outstanding! If you expect him to be anything but what I have said you need to learn the story of the scorpion and the turtle. He is surviving by being a PIMP, hated but who isn't looking for the best *****s, ahhh, models. He can be funny and yet obnoxious 1 minute later. I admit, 10-20, 000 pesos isn't a big deal to me, not looking to do the low cost thing. Anyway, life goes on and there is always a price to be paid for pussy. The cheapest pussy in Colombia is what you pay for and let go, imho. Those that are "regular" are often like the sweet things in America in the end.

[QUOTE=Tom Power]I've spent a lot of time camped out near Mamma Rosa's fruit stand which to those of you in the know is where they have the hooker tent. The hooker tent is where the massage girls and street walkers who religiously work playa hollywood hang out. These girls are usually locals, and not so mint, . But usually very cheap. There are pretty much two types of higher calibre hookers that show up from noon or so on. The ones who work dolce vita and are lookin for an extra trick or to take another shot at the retarted idiot who got drunk and threw his money around with them last night (me). The other type are girls who for some strange reason only work the beach, . They'll come in from barranquilla or where ever work on their tan alone or with a girlfriend until they get a trick and be home by dark. You'll see some rare jems who only ever seem to show up on the beach. These girls almost exclusively arrange their chairs and carpas with Tony. You'll see him greet them and you'll see him setting them up in a carpa almost as if he is the un-disputed pimp of these girls.
The problem with Tony is that because he's one of the few who speaks english and has a rep for getting girls he specializes in attracting and fleecing un suspecting newbie gringos. It's painful and embarrassing watching all the regulars and the vendors snikering and laughing at some new gringo buying lunches and coconut drinks for hookers in a tony tent and Tony laughing at them behind their backs with his gold riddled grin.
A self-respecting veteran of Cartagena in my humble opinion owes it to himself and the reputation of other gringos in the know and he MUST say "FuK U tony number 1! No tent no drinks but DO send over your girls! "
Remember, we're all in this together.

Was the pic, a pic of Tony. If so I keep an eye out for him in my need when I'm in Colombia.

I have known Tony for 5 years and it amazes me how he remembered my name a year after my first time there. He even remembered my wife's name. I take Tony as he comes: all BS. That is why I pack my own beer for the beach, but I do rent carpas from him because he will keep an eye out for your things while you go to water.
Tony has set me up with some really great girls and he even tried to set me up with another while my eight year old step-son was with me. I think I am more worried about pissing off Momma Rosa.
Tony is all that everyone says and I think that is the allure of Cartagena. A character such as Tony is like the cousin that would come around after getting released from lock-up.

That's him. Keep one hand on your wallet and try not to reason with him. Just tell him what you want and give him what is fair. He will ***** but that is what pimps and *****s do, hmmmmmm, some gringoes too.

Thank You Phunluv
A big thank you to Phunluv who pointed out that there is a commercial area in the old city. I just spent 3 days with a non-pro who arrived on Monday from Monteria. She didn't bring a bathing suit with here, so when it came time to outfit her for a day at la playa, I made inquiry with a local amiga as to how to find the commercial area in the old city. Here's how it went:
Taxi each way 5 mil pesos = 10 mil
Bathing Suit. 20 mil pesos
2 wraps to cover-up her bathing suit while walking to & fro la playa = 12 mil
Flip-flops for la play = 5 mil
A hat to wear at la playa = 8 mil
Total 55 mil pesos and a good experience for me of shopping with the regular folks. This non-pro was extremely happy with everything. We walked through 6 or 7 different shops and she picked out what she wanted. Even negotiated off the tagged price at one of the shops.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for the information---without it I probably would have ended-up shopping in Boca Grande or at the mall and spending a couple hundred mil pesos more.

I would have no problem doing that for a nice chica and have done so often. In my case, I've bought many a hat to compliment an outfit for pro & non-pro dates over the years.
It also reflects nicely IMO, on your chica that she was saitisfied & didn't attempt to milk it. Just keep your guard up in future in case she flips.
The shopping experience can fun too.

Anyone know if the Hilton is chica friendly?

If I Trusted Her
If I trusted her I would just given her enough for all that and gone and sat at a place and drank some rum and watch the ass walk by. Of course, the ass at the bikini stores could have been better!

Hilton Cartagena
Hello guys,
Anyone knows if this hotel is GF?
Or anwyay, how does it work in Colombia?
Any trouble to take girls up into room?
I wonder that just because I experienced some troubles after 5 pm in Mexico in a couple of Hiltons and in some Holiday Inns.
Thanx!
