You may have trouble bringing chicas to your room, at these hotels. There are other smaller hotels near Jaragua and Melia where you can bring a chica to your room, without a headache.

All 3 hotels are not Chica friendly. The Hilton will charge you an extra $25 approx, ro bring in a chica. They will charge you each night she is there unless you find someone and check in with her. The other 2 require you to check in with the chica. Have stayed at all 3. I go t the Courtyard which is 5 minutes from the Malceon. There is a college a block away. Very safe area.

Why SD? Most posters agree that the city is tougher than the north coast.

It is located on a busy street, Super Mercado Nacional is located nearby. Two Universities are located on Avenida Maximo Gomez. Courtyard is caro (expensive), about $150 per night.
Manizales gave a guy who works at the Melia about 500 pesos so he could bring in a chica. Some working girls know people who work at the Jaragua and therefore some of them get into the Jaragua. Overall, I would not recommend staying at Melia, Jaragua or Hilton, if a guy wants to have sex in his room with working girls.
Boricua Online has said Hotel Napolitano is chica friendly, it is on the Malecon about 6 blocks east of the Melia. Mercure Hotel, Hotel de Penalba, Hotel Palacio are chica friendly hotels in Zona Colonial.
If the guy wanted to be close to the action and stay in Jaragua or Melia, he could rent a second room in a hotel like the Navarro (about 1500 pesos per night) and use that second room for his special time with the chicas. Hotel Navarro is in the middle of the action, added bonus is that some of the chicas who work at Foxys live in the Navarro. Navarro is about three blocks from the Melia and about 4 blocks from the Jaragua.

you can get the jaragua garden rooms for as low as $65 bucks/night. you can use the local promotion rate on the mariott website when booking.
you can also get a room at the hotel riazor, a 2 minute walk away for about $65 /night as well.
that way you get to sleep in a 5 star hotel, relax at a 5 star pool, play at the casino, etc etc. and when it comes to play, bang at the riazor (which is chica friendly), have a late night meal at their restaurant for cheap, and walk back to your room and sleep.

Furthermore the "action" isn't much to speak of,this ain't Vegas.

They're very old and need renovating. The plumbing was jacked up, and the a/c was spotty. All for about $93 a night. Granted, this was shortly after the earthquake in Haiti. And it was hard to find a cheap room in SD with all of the relief effort workers in town.
I like the Apartahotel Roma. The rooms are decent and clean with a/c, and the water was very hot. And it's on to the Conde. Not a fabulous hotel. But a great deal for $45USD (they only accept cash).

Navarro also rents for short term, a few hours for 800 pesos.
Napolitano is 100% guest friendly, Jaragua has a no guest policy but if the chica do not look like a puta, do not wear or act like one they are not going to block her entrance.

the rooms in the garden section are a sh-t hole. the riazor has better rooms. jaragua is not a 5 star hotel. it plays as a 3 star in the garden rooms.
If you read classified ads (in Spanish) Gran Paradise Center is promoting itself as a place to satisfy fantasies other places rarely or never satisfy. They have an activity this Wednesday night, a real lesbian show that includes interaction with the public that pays a 500 pesos fee. According to the ad the girls are going to bj the guys and you are going to finish over the girl's bodies, bukkake dominican style. From 7:00 pm. I have never read of something like this in Santo Domingo but I believe is common in other countries. I definitely am going to visit this place for another 3,some, heheh.

can you post the link for the $65 bucks/night at jaragua?
jaragua is a 3 star hotel as shown on their website. the cheapest weekend rate is $88 plus tax which would be $110.88. now on top of this you think it is wise to also rent a $65 room at riazor. $175 a night for hotel rooms? if you have cash flow like that good for you. i know i don't.
if you are going to post a special hotel rate it would be nice to state whether it is with or without taxes and a link.
$110.88 a night in the jaragua garden section is no bargain. the garden section is no more than a glorified motel 8.
meals at the restaurant next to riazor are not cheap. they are reasonable priced but by no means are they cheap.

There are chicas on Ave Independencia, near Avenida Pasteur and Hotel Navarro till at least 4am. Casa 305 is on Avenida Independencia, in that same area and is open late.
