Sooooo, you have already been to Rio multiple times between Christmas and NYE. You already know its dead during that time period as far as women go, but you are contemplating going again this year?
I am thinking about it, but I know it sucks during that time of year. I have a couple of non-pro girlfriends there, but that alone isn't worth the trip--hahaha. I am trying to plan around my work schedule but probably best to go before Christmas as the whowhos are always full of ladies looking for that Christmas dollar. But like someone commented below best to go after Jan 1st. I've been to New Years in Copa multiple times and yes it's fun but it's definitely not best for mongering.
Decided to walk back and got pressed my a man with a blade and three 3 boys on the Main Street by monte carlos. Staring at me like a wild man, taking a big look around with a crazy smile he said "there's no police" hahahahah. They tried to rob me, but I was already angry for what just happened. They ran off, but upset I raced back to my place to change my clothes. I needed sneakers and dropped off my jacket. I went back out looking for them. I knowwwwww. STUPID.
I won't comment on you forgetting your jacket at Mabs and loosing 600 reais. I'm curious, did you think the man and the three boys would hang around while you went home changing clothes? Like they wouldn't be aware that somebody might have called the police. I guess I know what happened with your clothes that you had to change.

No-pro girls
Yes, it's a big mistake to think every Brazilian woman throws herself into bed with foreigners. As a general rule, if you don't have "game" back home you aren't going to have game in Brasil.
Like anywhere, try to strike up conversations. Find out their interests. Establish a rapport. Invite them out for a drink or dinner. However, the one night stand thing is hard unless she's kind of a semi-pro. If you have any sense, you will understand when a girl is a semi-pro.
I kind of went yikes! When you mentioned sales girls at malls. I think one member was once thrown out of a Rio mall for aggressively pursuing girls.
Non-pro Brazilian girls I have followed this discussion with interest. I perfectly agree with the statement that Brazilian girls don't throw themselves in the arms of foreigners. My experiences with this is limited to Rio de Janeiro, but over a 40 (years period. In fact, many girls in Rio are suspicious about foreigners; some of them regard foreigners as sex tourists. A few girls have told me about disrespect from foreign men who have approached them as if they were working girls.
It is far from impossible to bed the girls, but you must spend a few dates and some time. So you should stay in Rio for more than a week. I have had some non-pro girls, they always lasted for some time like real love affairs never one night stands. I can give some examples. However, if you are not open for a real relationship, I would say: don't waste your time!
At the age of 39, I have a love affair with a girls I met in Rio. She was just a normal student girl, 20 years old. She even came and lived with me for 3 months in my own country. How did I meet her? She had an extra job working at a conference which I attended.
My last was when I was 71 (the girl was 19 (It has to be mentioned that Brazilians thought I was 50, so I told the girl that I was 49 (I am average / slim, most of my hair is still there, and appears to be in good shape). It is my impression that elderly North Europeans often look younger than Brazilians at the same age. This girl was a student and in my book she was a 9-10 with a wonderful personality. If I had been half my age, I had married her. She also visited me in my country.
However, I strongly felt that the situation was ridiculous due to the age gap we lived in different worlds and in different ages! She was very eager, but her family discovered the relationship and made hell for her so it ended naturally.
How did I meet her? We had tables beside each other at an outdoor restaurant. She was there with a couple of female friends and we started talking.
Very important absolutely decisive that you can communicate: either you speak Portuguese or she speaks English. All of mine have been very good in English. Besides that, I had one thing as a plus: I am blond and blue-eyed the Brazilian girls loved that!
Went here around 12 pm. Sessioned with her. She introduced herself as someone other than Camila, but this is her on the website. https://www.edenspa.com.br/camila.
She gave a very quick and unenthusiastic BBBJ before reaching for the rubber. She kept at it for another minute upon request and then the rubber again. She took mish well, complained about getting on her elbows when on 4's. I had to but my balls in her mouth and jerk it to pop. She took some in the mouth, but nothing sexy. And then asked for a tip smh.
I'll return, but not for her.
Did you give her a tip? If you did, how much was it? If you didn't, what did you say?
First day back. I was tired and decided to go to Mabs around 12 ish maybe. Any mistakes were made I paid and left my jacket, made about a block before I realized. To my surprise the staff collected it and returned it to me, but I was not surprise to find my rs $600 had been lifted. Damn. All well, I noticed a good looker there and got her WhatsApp. STUPID. And unarmed. Well heading back to them, a guy stopped me. He said he saw what happed before. He calmed me down and I went home. He may have saved my life. Oh and he offered me free entry to the terma. I will be taking him up on this later.
Anyway, I want to say be careful. It feels like things are getting bad. But, this was probably self-inflicted.
There was also the story recently here of someone who was robbed on a bus. 2 Stories of attempted robberies in a week. Is this a trend? Maybe Rio is not as safe as I thought. I always knew Copa was a bit sketchy, but maybe its worse than I thought.
How were you dressed? Was there anything particular about you that might have caught their attention?

You're absolutely right that foreign men are generally branded sex tourists when in Rio. My limited success dating civilian Brasileiras has been in other cities when I was with Brazilian colleagues. There's a certain legitimacy that comes with hanging out with Brasilians. Also as you say, the women knew some English which to me shows a motivation to interact with foreigners.
Forgive me now for getting on my soapbox (preaching). I think the misconception that Brazilian women are easy comes from foreign men continuing to propagate this nonsense. I've run into too many men who simply won't admit they were mongering when in Brasil. You get crazy ass anecdotes about how they met a Brasilian girl the first day, she stayed with him every night and this all happened on a one week trip. You have force out of them the gift that was inevitable handed over at the end.

I knew what he meant

Actually

My place is less than 2 min away from where it happened. So, I actually could have caught them as they apparently wasted time a couple who passed by. Luckily, the gentleman that saw my situation intervened with the couple and the guys took off. I was minutes behind and as you read he talked me down. Probably saved my life that night. There's hope for humanity.

Unfortunately
Did you give her a tip? If you did, how much was it? If you didn't, what did you say?
Rs $50. I felt there may or may not have been clarity on the slight CIM so I obliged.
Here come's the hate LOL.

How were you dressed? Teeshirt, slides (sandals), pajama shorts and a hoodie around my neck. I originally thought it was because I was alone, but the guy said the group tried to rob a couple after me.
Note: it was one man and 3 fairly innocent looking, probably misguided teenagers. I don't feel it's more dangerous here than it was last year. Maybe ISG just has more members now.

Eden Spa
Sessioned with Shabon? I saw her yesterday in the lineup, but I fudged it last minute. Anyway, she's the typical slim thick curvy Brazilian small tits with rings and a fat booty. Just my type. BBBJ, rubber on, pro ride, switched to 4's and popped on her back. She moans like a working girl. It was a good morning.
2 blocks away is an oxtail restaurant. D' licous! It's a whole in the wall for locals, but I waited 2 days for it.
I'm still trying to get a membership, but I refuse to use crypto. If you're in Rio and don't mind, can I get you the cash and you buy me a membership too? If you are still in Rio in December, I would gladly accept your beer (s).

We all make mistakes

Here come's the hate LOL.
No reason to tip a working girl, all it does is encourage them to tell all the other girls that work at the establishment "This dumb gringo tipped me 50 R and I used a condom for the BJ!" Next thing you know all of the girls will try doing the same thing. If you really want to tip a working girl, promise to see her a 2nd time, reward a good performance by returning.
