I would gamble that 80% of their international clients come from 2 areas, America and Europe. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know how much the Dollar and Euro are worth, especially since they literally show the exchange rate Every single day / night on all local Brasilian TV channels. I've no idea if the GPS follows the currencies. It made me remember one GP that didn't do it. I was entering Banco do Brasil in Fortaleza (side note: in the early nineties it was more complicated to withdraw money. You had to enter Banco do Brasil, wait in a special queue and a guy took your card, called Sao Paulo and got authorization for the withdrawal). I had an epic week in Brazil recently. First leg was in So Paulo and documented here if you care for the context:

Here is the Rio portion.

This is the second part of a three part adventure. For this trip I've created what I call the girlfriend sandwich. That is, dine at the girl buffet, then spend a few days locked up with a girlfriend, then dine at the buffet again.

And the girlfriend in the middle of this sandwich is Seeking Arrangements girl Manu who lives in Rio. Met her a year ago in Rio and had an amazing time and have since flown her to So Paulo and Barcelona. Just an amazing girl and so affectionate. The consummate GF. So it's off to Rio I go!

I've chosen a nice five star hotel with a great rooftop pool and bar area, since Manu is joining me. Arriving at the hotel around 5, she is supposed to meet me there.
