Frankly I can afford not to worry about the odd $50 or $100 when i am on holiday so I prefer not to have any hassle. In Help or even a Termas in Rio I will signal on arrival that I will pay top rates. If a girl comes by and says she wants $500 I will tell her that I will pay double when I am ready to take someone. The word gets round and I know I can choose any girl. If she is good then I will give a big tip. Same in the termas, I always let them know that whoever I go with will get a big tip. I have found that without effort only cash, I can take any girl I want inside or outside of the termas, and have the sex the way I want and desire at the time.
I don`t go for cut price sex in dingy bordellos either, I can afford the places that offer the best comfort and hygenic conditions.
I think this obssesion with price is that many guys base their own attractiveness based on the price they pay, hence the less they pay the more attractive thhey have been. I realised a long time ago its the thickness of your wad, and your willingness to spread that wad around, that counts with these ladies , nothing more.

You can believe what you want about why the prices are higher. I go to Rio and I watch guys pay top dollar and then later go on the board and blame everyone else for the rising prices. I should not have responded to this post because I know that the price increase can not be attributed to the "Americans." I know the price increase can not be "attributed" to dark skin Americans. Marcop, I am sorry you got into a bidding war with an American for a girl. That was a dumb move and I agree that guy should be made fun of. But to use that as some reason to bash "Americans" is ridiculous. He was wrong and I hope that was an isolated experience. I am in Rio often but I don't live there so it may happen more than I know but I have never seen an American guy do something like that. In fact, when I am in Rio and I talk to American guys who are new to the seen and they are more likely to try and pay too little because they have "read" all this internet accounts of how guys got the hottest girls in the club, all night and paid 100Reals. Then they get to Rio and find that is not the case.
I think the American bashing is stupid. It would be great if the key board warriors would try to never type anything on the internet that you would not say to that person's face.
Just a few thoughts from one of those "darker skinned" Americans.

Yes if you have a good vibe and good chat, got a table in help with a bottle of chandon or black label of course that basically secures a $R200 girl who has spent time with you drinking and is relaxed and goes for the $R200, but this is not my point, Most people just want to go see a hottie and have fun, but when approaching them and you have your chat and then majority of time they simply won't budge on what ever inflated fee they have said as they know its the current trend and very much achievable.
Of course there the situations where the girl likes the look of you and they way you smile or chat but as said earlier the majority of the reason they are there is for money and it almost always wins. Therefore my point was simply that in my opinion its well over board paying $R500 and if more people from ALL over simply didn't pay that, like everything else its supply and demand and this would not be the standard price in help.
And like you when in Rio I can also pay whatever price (not that I show it, or choose to state I can afford the most expensive liquor in Rio, ) but I rarely do go to help mostly due to current clientel and the fact a girl a few hours before is charging $25R in VM and is now suddely worth $R500!
I was making a simple observation which affects more than the average monger going to help. And in addition I'm more than happy\satisfied with the 1000s of other services in Rio, but in the past I have had amazing nights in help and occasionally return to 'recapture' the good vibe of days gone past!
And regarding getting facts straight, I wasnt stating any facts to get straight, and if this was in relation to stating thats its been known for Americans to flash $$$, well I'm afraid that is a fact!

I apologize for calling you an idiot. My reaction was kind of kneejerk and I am just as guilty as you for blaming Europeans for price increases in Help. The real fact is if a girls quotes 600r you should realize one of two things is happening. Either she thinks you are REALLY STUPID, or she really does not want to be with you. Since none of us are stupid maybe we should swallow our pride and realize that we just got rejected by a hooker.
After thinking about it I won't criticize any guy for how mch he spends on his vacation. Who the fuck am I to tell this guy to pass on a girl in order to save me 20 bucks on the next go-round? Italians save all fucking year to go on their 2 week vacation. In 2006 I went to Help 34 nights in a row. Think they are gonna listen to me about passing on a piece of ass when mongering is almost nil in Italy? She married that moron? Wow, I know that guy he really is a knucklehead. He paid for her to get new breast and he paid for her to get lipo TWICE last year! I guess he got what he paid for. She left my hotel, reluctantly, at 7pm on monday. She was certainly the pick of all the girls in Help at that time. Anyway I am here for only a sort time I leave on thursday.

Good post Dave, just for the record I have been in help the past 10 nights, never paid more than 250 reais for TLN or close to it and once 200.
Some girls ask for 300 right off the bat and when I say 250 they say sure, had others ask for 300 and wouldn't take the 250. I've had some ask for 500, take the 250 and then the next night ask if they can be my beach again tonight for the same price. Others told me they havn't worked in 3 days, I told them lower their price, you might get more takers. Either way I love to watch these Brazilian girls work, they're real pros.
