I think there is a problem. I just saw the place I am considering renting for carnival lowered by 10% overnight.
Thats is interesting. The apartment that I have been renting for the past 3 years just went up by 20 bucks a night when the rate went up to 6. 70 R. I will call and see if it has been reduced now that the exchange rate is dropping. (Funny how we have guys on this board who actually think that the brasilians are not paying attention to the exchange rate and adjusting their prices accordingly! ! LOL).

There are mostly Brazilians who are renting these places, staying in these hotels, eating at these restaurants, hiring these taxis and Ubers, not people entering the market with a foreign currency. Exchange rate means nothing to them unless it has to do with imported goods. A local good or service has nothing to do with the exchange rate rising or falling.

I am speaking about agencies and private apartment owners who primarily rent to gringos in the Copa area. We all know there are certain buildings on NS and beach front that are constantly being rented by foreigners.

Especially if they are astute business people, which many prostitutes are. I mean, it really doesn't take much these days to know what the rates are and to try to leverage those to your benefit when dealing with foreigners and / or tourists.
Locals renting property and pussy are definitely ultra sensitive on a daliy basis to the exchange rate.
Even the lowest earning hoars at VM are now pro bolsona%o due to failed economics of lu[a.
Fwiw, a property hunting tip is to use facebo0 k marketplace with the scrolling map feature for best results. I did this following the lead of one of the smartest local countrymen I know who has a place a block away in recreio.

Anyone in Rio actually go to a prive or a terma?
Or is everyone taking their chances with online selection?
I was in GIG last night, and tried to use Uber to get to Copacabana. The setup is the same as last year: Uber has a special location next to Terminal 2, it's a bit of a trek, especially with suitcases.
The big problem is the lack cell coverage in the Uber lot, it's like there is a cone of silence over the lot, same as last year. I had to walk partway back to the terminal to get signal, make a reservation and then dash back to the Uber lot.

Vagabundo had ann amari over for two pernoites, and he fucked 3 times in 3 days for like 5 minutes each and paid her 800 r, 200 r extra for clothes for new years, which she will probably flake on. She did buy fireworks which she showed me on a whatsapp call. So my cost per fuck per minute is like 800/15 or 50 r per minute give or take, much more expensive and that doesn't even count all the all you can order vagabundo japanese food that vagabundo orders.
Vagbundo sees a big market drop coming in the next 2-5 years, and owns options out to Dec. 2026 accordingly.
There are some SWISS NAVY veterans coming in.
I have to wait four more days before I go to Brazil. Still I took a look at what bands that will play tonight. Ivete Zangalo and Anitta with her lovely ass will attract a lot of people in Copacabana. Made me remember New Years Eve 1994 when Rod Stewart played on Copacabana beach. 3,5 million people gathered on the beach.
Here you can see all the bands that will play in Rio tonight:

Oops. I didn't realize the impact of New Year's on mongering. Today is the 31st, I figured I would hit a Centro CLínica, but Centro was all closed up.
And everything else in Lapa is closing at sundown. I doubt there will be any mongering on New Year's Day.
Sad.
