There are not a lot of places to drink at 4am on a Tuesday night. The female bartender wanted to visit the apartment where I was staying that morning, so I probably could have bagged her.
I visited casa de modelas one night around 4am, they wouldn't let me in, they said I could choose a chica while standing outside, while looking through a window into the living room, where the chicas were lined up. Casa Azul stays open late and is a place where I didn't get rushed or hassled to choose a chica. Casa Theresa late at night, let me in for one beer and said I had to choose a chica within 10 minutes. Casa 305 was tranquil at 4am, no rush and no hassle, when I stopped there for a beer.
On vacation, sometimes I like to drink and stay out late.
Would be nice if coppa had some competition, for the late night crowd or if they got rid of the curfew. Santo Domingo had small bars where you could get drinks till 7am, before the curfew.
Great info for the drunken insomniac mongers. My biggest issue is horrible spanish. I understand most of what is said but my ability to reply inteligently is awful, back to rosetta stone and Tootsie/Pink Pony in Miami for practice.
One place I can't force myself to go in is Doolhouse. What's the deal? Keep hearing a lot about Brazillians wanting $200/$300. Foxys ruined it for me....
