Yes X, I did bf out of Lone Star and 2700P was what I paid.
Robb
This is interesting because I contacted somebody from the bar that is even higher up than Graham.. He assured me the BF was 700 and its up to the girl to negotiate.. Some of you may know him as he is mainly silent but he assured me that nothing has changed and nobody should have been charged p2700 from the bar.
Geez. Is it the Koreans spoiling the market? All sounds about double what I paid 2 years back (except casa I think was 2500).
Yes could very well be! Prices have generally stayed the same but some bars are now all inclusive due to the fact that some guys cheap out. A few places are even charging Koreans an entrance fee since some of them don't buy drinks.
Last April I believe I payed 2000 php at Lone Star so they must be collecting everything up front because I did not tip the girl. Tourists in general are charged more then local expats.
Thanks for filing your report Robbaf! This thread needs more reports like yours!
"silent"? That's not Graham! I guess you know someone higher up....
At first glance, G seems to be a regular customer, drunk and playing pool (LOUDLY).
Anyone who has common sense and walks into a bar takes his bearings. In lone star you immediately find this large man, playing pool, who is loud and apparently intoxicated...and you make it a point to avoid him. I did. Finding out he was the manager was only slightly encouraging.
I was there about three times over a one week period, so my interpretation may be flawed.
Thank you Andre for confirming that Lone Star has two policies about bar fine.
Maybe known customers get the benefit of the doubt, but newcomers get the "service charge" added on.
Who knows.
Robbaf, when is your next visit to Cebu? Inquiring minds want to know!

Peace out!
spent a couple days in cebu to sample the bar scene. after reading the forum i opted to stay at the marriott ($85 week-end rate) in downtown cebu rather than near the beach. that turned out to be a good choice.
day 1: went to ayala mall around 7:00pm, which is directly and very conveniently connected to the marriott. the mall looks like a smaller greenbelt and is very nice. i don't know how other mongers go about picking up girls at the mall, all i can say is that after walking around for 2 hours i was not approached by anyone, i did get a couple glances from not-so-attractive girls, but then i can't even say for sure that they really meant anything. as far as i can tell, there are lots of people shopping there and i did not see how i could recognize the ones that might provide p4p or might be willing to follow me back to the marriott. i suppose you need to find some way to approach single girls or the ones who are in groups, but personally i did not find that easy to do.
slept for a couple hours and took a taxi to lone star. as previously reported it is very pleasant to see that taxis use the meter without being asked in most cases, or sometimes you have to ask but they just look like they forgot and do not complain. once in lone star i was immediately surrounded by 4 or 5 girls, waiting for me to pick one. the quality was rather good with 2 or 3 very nice looking girls and some average. i picked up a taller girl (can't remember her name) after several drinks, paid the barfine of 1700p, which includes 1000p for the girl and we went dancing at juliana's disco. the place was absolutely packed and very warm, entrance includes a drink, after an hour or so we decided to call it a night and went to the marriott. bbbj and a nice session, though not quite gfe. she stayed till morning and i gave her an extra 1000p, which seemed to be ok.
day 2: went to the pool, then back to ayala mall around 2pm figuring i went too late the day before and decided to get over my inhibitions. well, that did not work, i walked the place in all directions for several hours and... nothing happened. actually something did happen, one of the sales ladies at the department store hinted that she would come to the beach with me, after i asked her how long it would take to go there. she gave me persistent looks and kept asking me personal questions, i think i could have easily bagged her. i did not because even though she was pretty i was not attracted to her.
back to the room to get a couple hours sleep and took a taxi to arena since that seemed to be the top place in town. taxi driver warned me of arena's prices and recommended to go to jaguar, i stayed with arena.
was led to my table by a ladyboy, a little surprised, and watched the girls dance. the setup looks like a us strip club, big stage and tables in front. there were only about 3 other customers in the place, all korean. the girls that i saw were ok, a few very pretty but the majority looked no different from what i saw at lone star the night before, only many, many times more expensive. in fact as soon as i arrived the waited came to recite the list of costs, drinks for the girls, mandatory drinks for the mamasan, barfine. i paid 450p for 1 drink (includes entrance fee) and left.
thought ok, i will check jaguar. i liked it much better, it is a little less expensive than arena (still a 5000p barfine), the girls were very beautiful and some dance topless. i enjoyed watching them for an hour or so but was not going to pay this kind of price without checking other options first, so i headed to viking.
i liked viking, the bar, the girls, the prices (50p drinks and 1700p barfine). a really cute girl approached me and i bought her drinks. she was so pretty but seemed shy. i started getting jealous of a japanese guy who was almost getting raped by the girls on a couch, my girl saw that and as soon as the japanese left she called one of her friends over. i was hungry and ordered fries, which then prompted all the girls to come to our table to eat, soon i was surrounded by an army of pretty ladies, choices... i decided to take both my original shy girl and her wild friend, paid the barfine for both, headed to the marriott where i had no problem getting both girls in (they had to register).
this turned out to be one of the best sessions i have ever had with 2 girls. they said they had not been together before, both were wild in bed and it was all kissing, sucking (both have young children and were lactating!), licking etc... for almost 2 hours. we slept 2 hours and the shy one woke up, kissed me and started a good morning bj while her friend was sleeping, i exploded in her mouth and she smiled. wow... we had breakfast (great breakfast at the marriott) and separated, i gave 1000p to the friend and 2000p to the one who worked double, she kissed me and said she hoped to see me again, very great experience.

I have a friend who has known Graham a long time and very well (as in knows where he got his money) introduced me to Graham and told me that he owns the bar and he is the manager. That was my first BF from Lone Star and the BF was 2700P, as quoted by the girl and what I paid. Since she told me this I only tipped 200p as I was staying in Mactan and wanted to ensure she could get back to the city. (I am a nice guy:D)

X, you are correct. Graham acts like a customer. As I stated in my last post I have a friend who knows the story.
Sorry, I was in Manila last weekend and Manila this weekend, then I leave for Vietnam. I will not be back in Cebu for at least a month:(

For the second part of your query, you will have to read back through this thread because it is all there!

I spent an entire morning sitting in front of Shakey's and was approached by an ugly mal-nourished duo, another ladyboy girl duo and a pot-bellied solo.
Where the claims of sexy eye-candy comes from beats me.
I think you both have missed the point of how to pick up girls in the malls, I must admit I had the same problem when I first started.
Some girls will make eye contact with you as they walk past you, sometimes they may not even smile and the eye contact may only be tantalisingly brief not even long enough for you to think "she is available" Some may smile when making eye contact but for many girls who are naturally very shy, they may not even dare smile at you.
If they are in a group they will giggle amongst themselves and look at you very shyly. Just overcome your natural inclination to wait for positive signals and just initiate conversation with girls, it will reap amazing dividends just trust me on this.
Sitting outside a coffee shop or restaraunt and waiting to be approached is certainly not the way to go. Sure this is a great way of watching girls walk past so you can identify specific targets to engage, but most girls will not make the first approach.
Like you have already pointed out in your posts, the ones that do make the first approach are either hardened pros or ladyboys and neither of these interest me in the slightest.
I am in my 40's and not particularly extrovert but I have never had a problem picking up girls at the malls, Ayalla in particular. Some of my most exciting conquests have been with girls who did not give off any signals at all. I just went up and struck up a conversation with them and within 20 minutes we have been in a taxi on the way back to the hotel. Just remember 'faint heart never won fair lady'
When you do chat to them, treat them with respect and never suggest that you want them to come back to your hotel for sex. You will more than likely lose your chance and upset them into the bargain (read my previous post on the subject). You must be subtle in your approach, at the end of the day they probably already know what your aim is, you just need to keep things on a respectable level so no one is offended or embarrassed.
These girls are normally just regular non working girls but once you have got them back, they tend to give a real GFE and in some cases a better service than you will get from girls in bars etc. You will occasionally get girls who will accompany you but will still not have sex with you until you spend some time with them. These girls are great if you are looking for a regular gf and a bit of time invested in them will reap huge dividends later, that is assuming you have the time to do so.
I have had girls come back with me only to find that they have no intention of having sex with me, at least not straight away. If that happens I just apologise to the girls, I usually just tell them that they are so cute I could not resist them and then I give them their taxi fare home. Although it can be a frustrating experience for the monger, neither person loses face or feels embarrassed. If I wasn't such an impatient SOB and willing to invest time with these kinds of girls, maybe take them out for a meal, take them home and meet their family then without question they would deliver the prize we so eagerly seek. Unfortunately I am never around long enough to be willing to invest that kind of time and I always feel a bit deceitful meeting her family unless my plans are long term with her

Yes I had some regulars there but so I could keep " my eye in" I would play the pick up in Ayala mall game.
My MO was to hang around near the ice cream place on 2nd foor. (well there used to be one.). When I saw a likely target would put on a big smile, explain that I was waiting for a friend but that I think she had stood me up, so would the " target" join me for ice cream instead.
Meant the target knew I wasnt totally alone on my Cebu trip, and no lady passes up ice cream. Plus you get to make many corny and double entendre type jokes about ice cream etc. Had a good success rate with that approach. Of course sometimes the targets ugly friend came along too. But thats up to you how to get rid of her. My approach there was to give her P100 and tell her to go get a burger. The ugly friend was usually fat (and ugly). So a a burger suited her better than ice cream.

I don't understand why that you have problem scoring in the mall, I have scoring many time there just walk around the mall, if I get a smile I just walk up to them invite them for a drink or share a pizza and then back to the hotel, it is so easy to pick up girl in cebu here and there are also many freelance working the mall but most are not good looking, it is better that you do the picking many girl hang out at bo coffee after 7pm.
