Marriott is NOT chica-friendly however (not sure about RIU) , you're better off staying at Veneto (two blocks away, also great for pickup and much chica-friendlier) , or if you're locked into a reservation at M, most any taxi driver can suggest a by-the-hour establishment to get busy.

HOWEVER, it's a large, busy hotel, and I saw several obvious monger / hooker couples, so I'd guess you could just take a woman on up to your room if she's reasonably presentable.

Just got back from two nights, stayed at the Torres del Alba in the new tower, really nice and a great view if you can get a higher floor, chica friendly. My two cents on The Veneto and Habanos, they suck! I spent a lot of time in the Veneto, nothing bunch of old chicas asking for way too much money. I seen maybe two or three worth paying cien for and they were of course surrounded by mongers at all times. Habanos had some stunners but it was so dead there on Saturday night and they charge 4 dollars for a beer, no reason to sit there, again the chicas that were lookers were all spoken for. Golden Times and Gold Fingers were cool, Bocatoreno was a cool bar to check out. Some of those Veneto girls belong in there charging 10 bucks with all the other old timers. Was still a good time and a pretty cool city, I'm sure I will be back at some point.

It was really good prior to that. Hopefully the chicas come back.

What happens to the Columbianas, pay a fine and right back out? Seems like its all a show for the government.

I read through the forum but could not find any info on the Wyndham Garden Panama City. It is about 2 miles from the Veneto, but it just opened this year. Does anybody know if this is a girl friendly hotel or I am the first to go there?

I will be in Panama next week.

Anyone who is at the veneto Panama city please come back with reports. Would like to know if things are back to normal at habanos, veneto etc.

Most of these working girls are on tourist viass, except for those at GoldenTime, Moulin Rouge etc. One of my friends got into trouble with the police and a lawyer helped her start taking coures at a unversity and get a student visa (and then a regular job actually). Another recently overstayed her visa and is now bared from Panama for a number of years. She was turned away at the border and had to go look for work in Peru (she hated it there). But she thinks maybe she can pay a bribe and get the exclusion removed.

Yes it is just for show, but keep in mind that so many things are illegal in most countries that you can still be in jail even if it was just for show.
