Thanks for another good Post here. When a filipina tells a foreigner she is available it does NOT mean she has no boyfriend. I learned this after 18 years coming here. It means she is interested in meeting a foreigner for a relationship. Think realistically, how many beautiful, single women age 18-25 in the US are not dating someone? Not many. The same in the Philippines.

The advantage is simply that with the poverty in the Philippines the women are looking for a better life. Also, ladies with children have to work much harder at meeting a man as many filipino men, not possesing anything in the way or a sense of responsibility, avoid women iwth children, especially if they are the father (I men you can't expect these fuckups to live up to their responsibilities now can we?).

The Pension houses GE found are very similar to the one directly across from O'Flannagan's Pub on Illustre Street. Prices of 300-500 pesos per night amounts to $6.50 - $ 11 US per night. You get what you pay for and with these places you do NOT get much. No a/c in Davao? If you are this poor, you should be back home working (or seeking a job). It is very hot and very humid in the Philippines. A place that costs less than "lunch money" offers no amenities at all and no security.

The type of denizens that frequent these places (11 years ago I stayed at a place like this for a few days in the "best room"; paid $25/nt then) are NOT what someone on a vacation would want to associate with ever. In these places you run the risk of being robbed constantly and also mugged.

I am not certain where GE is meeting these "guys" but I do hope I will NOT be seeing any of them. Even as a young college student, it never would have occurred to me to seek a place anywhere when on vacation with no air conditioning and no amenities. Part of the fun of travelling is getting away, relaxing and enjoying yourself. Davao has many fairly decent, comfortable places to stay for $17 to $25 US per night. This is a lot less than what dinner at a decent restaurant for one person costs in my City. You can eat very reasonably in Davao but it will mean NOT patronizing the places GoodEnough mentions as De Bonte Koe, El Torro, Claude's, Swiss Deli, etc are not cheap.

Two years ago in the former Davao Board I wrote a Post entitled, "Davao on $15 a Day". It would run you $20 or so now as the dollar has weakened against the peso and beer (in the Post I have you downing 12 beers) has gone up a little at the inexpensive places mentioned.

I chatted with GoodEnough online yesterday afternoon. He is still in close contace via e-mails with Brad's mother. Like I said before, GoodEnough has yet another friend. In my own case, after the first or second e-mail from the lady, I would have told her that at 40+ it was time for her son to "grow up, accept responsibility and make it on his own". That would have been my last contact with the "old biddy".

In spite of GE's comments to the contrary, I stil believe we can expect Brad to return in the foreseeable future. Living on his own, getting laid for the first time in his life, drinking beer whenever he wanted (mom would never stand for any of this nonsense); no way he can stay away.

I spoke at length with the Kid back in NYC. He still intends to return in early to mid January but has done nothing towards purchasing a ticket. I have grown weary of doing most of his planning, which means he may not return. I keep telling him to buy an inexpensive desktop (his old computer has been broken for 2 years now) but to no avail.

Ten days ago I gave him Jen's phone number in Manila where she is singing in a little karaoke club owned by her auntie, 32 and beautiful. I have not fucked a pro or semi-pro in Davao since Aug 2004. Reason is simply that I have not had the need to do this. So many lovely women here to meet. I had forgotten how much color Maurice adds to any situation, and how much fun it is to bs with him. DS and I will certainly meet with him in late December when he's here.

Bilbo, thanks for the kind words. Once of the nice things about this entire site is the willingness of members to share what they know. I went back to Africa recently for the first time in ten years and I would have been clueless in Kenya without the guidance, advice and insights gleaned from that forum. Same with Singapore when I went there first the first time in several years a couple of years ago. Thanks to this site, I knew where to go, what to expect and how much it would all cost.

Like you, I've slowed down more than a bit over the past few years and, to paraphrase an old adage, it now takes me all night to do what I used to be able to do all night. I cannot, for example, keep up with the DS, who can wine, dine and bed one around breakfast, one at lunch, and one at dinner with perhaps another thrown in sometime in the middle of the afternoon. But it's all okay. Davao accommodates lots of different lifestyles and lots of different tastes. In fact, I wish I could have asked Maurice what was up with him in that department since he was very active when he lived here, but he was with his wife and 13 year old daughter so it hardly seemed appropriate.

Contrary to my expectations, Davao has been unusually quite for the past several days, even with the four day week end. I guess people have been too absorbed with cemetery duties and family obligations to party much. Most of the stores in town were closed on Thursday and Friday though not the malls. It would not have been a significant mongering opportunity.

For those who may be interested, the new wine cellar/dining area at Swiss Deli is open, and it's very tastefully done, with brick walls, wine racks lining one wall and a fairly large bar in the front. It sells wines by the glass and by the bottle, and has stuff from around Php500 to Php5,000, so it can cater to all tastes. It's list is not nearly as large as the list from Hola Espana, but the ambiance of the wine cellar is nicer.

Counting down the days until DS' next visit and, typical of him, the first items to be selected and packed were the wines an Champagnes. The man does know what's most important.

I had a great night here in my City. My good friend in the Wine/Liquor Distribution business finally came by with a couple cases of decent, "every day" wines as a partial payment on his bill for the work I did for his Company. I then had a Client and his wife come by for a Meeting during which we opened and consumed two bottles of the wines. It was nearly 9:30Pm when they left.

I got online to wire funds overseas as I heard from the mothers of both my children. My son is once again sick and in the hospital where his mother is on staff. I called and spoke with her and heard him in the background (sounded good for a sick, little boy). I then spoke to my daughter's mother at our home on Leyte and then to my daughter who has also been sick for a few days.

While transferring a little money and paying, in advance the rent on the apartment where my Son lives, GE came online. Of course he mentioned this Board. He says he is getting literally dozens of PM's from guys ranging in age from early 30's to late 70's. ALL want to know more about these "cheap places to stay in Davao". So much for listening to the Slayer and his sage advice about how unpleasant these places are (no a/c in Davao is fucking insane) and the danger (being robbed/mugged) of staying in them.

In any event GE went on to relate "I am getting inundated with PMs from these guys and its all your fault". Personally, GE's flood of PMs is the Slayers fault just as much as the abundance of ripe, hot, young pussy in Davao is Slayer's Doing. Now I would like to accept responsibility for the latter (certainly NOT the former) but I have had nothing to do with all these lovely, sweet, young ladies here in the "City of Abundant Pussy".

As I ate, drank and and took in the ambiance of the Place, I reflected on GE's good fortune. ALL THESE NEW "FRIENDS". I could NOT be happier for him if a gorgeous, big titted Davao Lady arrived at his door, naked and wrapped in 1000 peso notes holding a sign saying "fuck me big boy".

I realize that this will mean he will be occupied with meeting/advising his newfound "friends" when I return shortly to Davao. I wil just have to make do on my own. Honestly, I never meant any harm to these Socially Challenged Carp. I just for the life of me could not comprehend how an adult man would travel all the way to Davao to live in a state of total poverty. A dumpy pension house with 'who knows what for neighbors', no A/C, no cable tv, no gourmet meals or fine wines/champagnes (unless the budget is $6/Nt for a place to live and $75-$150/Nt for food and drink). Why not just stay back in the US and save the airfare???

Since GoodEnough is "busy" advising his "pals" on tight budgets, I am seeking new friends for myself. I am even going to try and reconcile with the Stalker Lady of Davao as the "any port in a storm" seems very appealing now. Worst that can happen is she awakes in the middle of the night and slices me into pieces. No sweat.

Guiltyfeet did an excellent Post on the Cebu Board. He included his Davao expoits in it. I noticed he had difficulty getting a cab from the Davao Airport to Marco Polo. The Marco Polo has a van which goes to meet ALL flights daily from Manila and Cebu. You just look for the guy with the Marco Polo sign on the left as you exit the Airport. This cab is FREE and you can always call in advance to make certain it will be there. I never call and I always see the Van when arriving.

When my Jen met me In Davao this last Trip she just approached the van, gave them my Name and got in. I never have to worry about taxis anymore. Casa leticia has this same service and it is complimentary for bringing you to the Hotel and P 200 for returing you and any guests back to the Airport. But in the case of Casa Leticia you should always call the Hotel with your flight and arrival time.

As we are on the subject of the Marco Polo Hotel, here are photos of beautiful Grace in Davao City. These were taken last September in my room in the Marco Polo. In the last one she is riding my dick and climaxing as the photo was taken.

Last night GoodEnough IM'd me saying "I just got a PM from '250 peso man' saying he has decided that Davao would be too stressful a place for him with too hectic a pace". He is looking elsewhere in the Visayas and the Mindanao. As you recall this is one of the Socially Challenged Karp (GE says we should spell it with a K as the initials SCK sound better) who have inundated GE with recent PM's pertaining to his two Posts on where to stay in Davao if you are fucking flat out broke. I guess he took offense at my Posts.

I already apologized to the "Karp" and enough on this. I asked a few friends back in my City and they agreed that if you are this tight for cash stay home and look for work. We related about many nice, decent places to stay with rooms anywhere from $15/Nt to $25/Nt ($ 450 - $750/mo). All are clean, have A/C, cable tv with HBO/Cinemax and a decent restaurant.

As to Stressful and Hectic: You need to see Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and New York City. I can think of three reasons why a man would leave Davao City: 1) Work or a Family Illness/Emergency requires him to leave; 2) He found better/hotter pussy elsewhere (if you DO let me know and I will go with you); and 3) his dick has broken from too much fucking.
