Like in the USA, cost might be slightly cheaper or slightly more expensive at 7-11 or pharmacies; but the difference shouldn't be too significant.
I will say that the guy running the Turkish Kebab cart outside of Nana makes amazing food. 60 baht kebabs and 2 make a great meal. Far better than a burger.

I love both too. Patts is cheaper and easier to navigate. So I prefer it for holiday if I just want to relax and not worry too much about what I want to do on any given day. For a longer stay or for a place to live I am pretty sure I'd like BK much better as it's a real International city with much to offer.
But why not hit both and decide for yourself?

After the "where do we get the best exchange rate" (to change maybe 200 bucks) are we now heading into "where to find the cheapest condom"?

If not, then you will be going in the opposite direction and not even realizing (happened to me the first time). If memory serves me right, take EXIT 3 at Hauy Kwang. Emmanualle is just 100 meters walk to your right. You can't miss as it is a huge building with its own billboard at its entrance. Nataree is next door. If you continue for another 450 meters or so down the street - take another right- you will get to Lord spa. Walk further down the street, you will find Colonze II.
Across the big and heavily traveled avenue from Emanualle, there is another luxurious establishment. Is it Ceasars?
Although the MRT is easy to use (announcements and signs are in english & Thai), it gets too crowded during rush hour (3 pm to 9 pm?) . I had to wait on a number occasions for another train in order to get onboard after the first one came. Be ready to shove and push for ingress and egress.

As you emerge Nataree and the others will be to your right and Ceasars across the street to your left. The right hand side of the street is obviously the best place to shop. I would visit Ceasars only if there were absolutely nothing available in the other shops, but that won't be the case.

Besides, since tips come [B]after[/B] the service is provided, they cannot drive up the price of the service itself. If anything, they may even keep the price of the service lower as (perhaps) the girls start to expect a tip and thus lure you in by agreeing a lower basic price (and getting a fat tip).
