Rio de Janeiro Reports
Hi, I have really enjoyed reading the posts over the past few months. I wanted to politely ask for some guidance.

I plan to visit some termas when I am in Rio and prefer to be in a more upscale setting. I want to avoid having an escort visit my room for privacy purposes or having to register her.

Is it safe to assume that the termas Centaurus and Monte Carlo are higher end and more upscale when compared to Solarium and 4 x4? Meaning the ladies there are generally more classy and elegant?
I've never been to Centaurus, but I would say Solarium is more upscale than Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo looks quite run down on the inside and I would say the woman is Solarium are better looking and probably classier as most are in nice dresses. Monte Carlo is definitely worth visiting but I wouldn't expect Scandello from any of these places, all of them are more or less standard working girl houses.

Meaning the ladies there are generally more classy and elegant?
If you are looking for "a more upscale setting," then you should go to Sao Paulo where all the high end Boates like Scandallo and Bomboa are located. You will sacrifice the physical beauty of RJ, but I do not think you will regret it thanks to the quality and quantity of SP Boate girls.

But if RJ remains your choice destination, and there is nothing wrong with this decision, then understand that the RJ termas are a step down in scale and quality from SP Boates. And with that said, I rate Solarium ahead of Centaurus and Monte Carlo because I like their girls better. Standard Solarium rooms are very small with tiny beds, however. Yet everything is clean, and you will have a good time, but here is a tip, you might want a room upgrade. You should also check out 4 x 4, not for its "upscale setting" LOL, but for its party party atmosphere and also Perola Negra.

I tend to find myself leaning more towards Rio de Janeiro in recent times. The ambience and vibe of the city is second to none, Sao Paulo is way behind in that respect. SP does have hotter babes and more luxurious clubs but I'm guessing if a monger can't find equally hot babes in the termas in Rio he should be able to find them online.

Pretty aligned with most guys here plus a little extra color:

Hands down SP if classy setting and top girls are your priority. Scandallo has no equal worldwide.

If you decide Rio then I think Monte Carlo and Solarium are classier than Centaurus and 4 x4. To me 4 x4 is more a down market atmosphere but if you like a hopping club vibe it def has that over the other places. Centaurus feels less classy because the girls are absolute sharks. Unless you are a pro at this yourself the Centaurus girls will eat you alive.

Solarium is classy but I don't like the vibe. It feels like I'm hooking up at an ice cream parlor all bright and sterile.

I like Monte Carlo best because it's a chill bar atmosphere. And even if only ten girls I would take about 8 out of ten. Never had a poor experience there.

In Rio, in terms of the facilities themselves, in my view Centaurus is the classiest. But it's still not on par with what Sampa has to offer, and I'm not just talking about Scandallo either. But then in terms of the girls themselves, which is really what the OP is getting at, I don't think any of the major termas in Rio have the advantage. I mean, it's hard for me to associate "classiness" with any termas LOL! And then there's always the change factor. The place that was hot last time is not this time, and vice versa. The lineups are in constant flux. To the OP, the best thing you can do is just go and check out as many places as you can. Find out what works for you. But after a long time, I have finally come around to putting Sampa ahead of Rio. If you want to go to some classy clubs with some pretty girls, give Sao Paulo a try. In my view, Rio really isn't a place you go to for "classy". More like down and dirty and nasty! And I love it like that!

Was lucky enough to have a few days in Rio earlier this year and visited Centaurus, Monte Carlo and Solarium and agree with your summary of them though I did enjoy the vibe at Solarium but would put it behind Monte Carlo. I would say Centaurus had the most beautiful girls or rather more beautiful girls but were sharks / scammers in that they delivered poor service and were looking to shake more money for services that ought to have been included. If you go there you need to be firm and specify what services are included before you go to the room but it is so easy to lose discipline when the girls are rubbing your dick and inviting you to grope and lick on their tits during negotiations!
Centaurus: the nicest and priciest terma with annoyingly hardcore girls latching on to you as soon as you walk in and having an issue taking no for an answer.

Monte Carlo and Solarium: Nice termas, but very small. Also pricey, but cheaper than Centaurus. Girls aren't aggressive and wait till you pick them.

4 x4: Not as classy, but lively and fun. Lots of girls and the cheapest of all Tier 1 termas.
This is a perfect summary.
This is a perfect summary.
Dear all, thank you so much for all your guidance and advice. It is much appreciated! I am only planning a trip of maybe 3-4 days to Rio as a tourist; the hop on hop off bus tour, Sugar Loaf Mountain, cable car ride, visit the Redeemer statue, and may be walking around in the daytime in LeBlon. Unfortunately, I am not planning on going to Sao Paulo. I am starting to regret this now.

Based on the summaries, I have gleaned the following rankings:

(1 & 2) Solarium and Monte Carlo are tied.
(2) Centaurus.
(3) 4 x4, different vibe.

I will try all the termas, including Centaurus, except 4 x4. However, everyone has warned while Centaurus is bigger, has pretty ladies, it also has very pushy and aggressive ladies. I personally hate being followed around and pressured. I am very gentle, and I hate having to politely say no to a lady more than once. I have been warned.

Once again thank you so much. I will also be very careful in Rio and am very grateful for all the advice provided in other discussion threads regarding safety.

Centaurus is only a shell of its former self, and some of the guys here now weren't even going to Rio when it was good, so they can't make the comparison. It was so bad when I went earlier this year that for the first time ever since I have been going to Rio, I considered dropping it the next trip. So sad as Centaurus was the first terma I ever went to. So many good memories! My strong recommendation if you aren't going to go to all of them is to drop Centaurus then. I mean, if as you acknowledge you've been warned, why would you still go there and deal with the sharks anyway and drop the one with the best atmosphere? Makes no sense. Go to Monte Carlo, Solarium, and 4 x4. If you're going to skip one then skip Centaurus! You've been warned again. I found my best girl last trip at 4 x4 (see pics). I often find the best tutes at Quatro.

Based on the summaries, I have gleaned the following rankings:.
3-4 days in Rio is not nearly enough for a city of this magnitude, but if you MUST limit your visit to 3-4 days, I recommend the following.

1. Make it 4 full days at least.

2. Forget Leblon. It's far away in Rio traffic.

2. Check the weather for tourist stuff (Sugarloaf and Corcovado). Clouds matter.

3. Forget the Hop On bus. You simply won't have time. Take tours to the attractions (yes, that'll cost you more, but they'll pick you up and drop you off and have your tickets).

Good luck!

There was this dude on YouTube who claimed that Rio is so connected with credit cards that even many beach vendors has a machine now so cash is hardly needed while in the city. What do you guys think about using credit cards at the main termas? Is there any risk of them padding up the prices on your card and are payments for the girls done through the termas rather than directly to the girls? I imagine that most of the termas have their own set rates for the girls depending on time or am I wrong on this?

Gents, has anyone ever been to Prisma Terapias and can advise? Looks like a good lineup. Assuming the pics are close to reality, but I can neither find reviews on GParena not elsewhere, which is usually not a good sign for such an established place.
3-4 days in Rio is not nearly enough for a city of this magnitude!
Right, for my first trip way back when, I was going to stay only for 5 days. I had a buddy literally screaming at me to stay at least 10 days minimum. I listened and was so, so glad I did. And those 10 days were the shortest trip I ever took to Rio too LOL!
