Best spot in Copa for a date
It's quite annoying. It's getting worse every year. When you walk along the orla in Copacabana you only hear Spanish. Tourists from Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. Very few are attractive.
Deck Lounge Bar at Pestana Rio Atlantica still has one of the best roof top bars, Deck Lounge Bar. I don't know if you're really allowed to go up if you don't stay at the hotel. Today, we did as usual, just passed by the security and entered the elevator. I asked two cute Peruvian girls to pass their room card so I could press the cobertura button. They ended going up there with us. They didn't look too happy when we showed no more interest when arriving at the roof top bar. The beer selection at the bar is really bad but the view is fantastic. No good party going on up there tonight.
I went to the rooftop spot at Pestana a number of times last year (Excellent spot to take a civilian for drinks and admiring the incredible view). Only issue I had was that they didn't have a DJ any longer, so it wasn't that lively.
Uruguay field data wanted (and Santiago in Chile)
Hello fellow.
Messrs. Enternational, Turgid, D-Cups, The Cane, and even the legend Jackson himself and other esteemed upstanding travelers may have some insights on the question below.
Can somebody please offer reasonably up to date info on Uruguay (I like the cooler climate change) or Santiago, Chile that remain unexplored to add to my global monger passport. I remember Santiago as being fairly safe and orderly, somewhat European (I was there on business and did not get to monger). Argentina seems to be a train wreck, as in crime, blight, all manner of currency exchange issues and a certain grimness. I was last there 20 years ago and it was "kinda" OK, but nothing compared to Brasil in value for money in the cities, and sadly did not make it to Jackson's infamous mansion of beautiful young ladies.
I'd be interested in the scene, typical prices, whether the women are as liberated and passionate as Brazil, bordellos and that sort of thing.
Florianpolis at 27's and Porto Alegre at 30's seem easier to get to and avoid the hassle or borders.
May you all have a great Canivale and many post coital smiles on your faces for decades to come. You only live once, enjoy and be part of the miracle of life and joy.
