Ah, I think I didn't articulate myself well enough (must be that I'm scottish and English wasn't my first language!! For you Americans, I'm Joking!!). I think I wrongly assumed that most people realise I'm talking, not about you lucky gits living in LOS, but the monegering tourist fraternity that go home, send some money occasionally and then the girls calls them 'boyfriend'. In a way I kind of see why guys do it but can they really think it is a worthwhile thing to do?

Joking aside, I've seen it mentioned a few times on the site but I really would like to hear some of your opinions on the 'girlfriend' thing and the sending money to help them type thing. I think it's fascinating and genuinely interested in the experiences of you guys.

Like most regulars in LOS who get to know girls over a long time, it's almost a foregone conclusion (even though I always have a hope that it isn't) that the girl will eventually (and it could be months later), tell me a sob story and while not directly asking, will lay it on to the point that , if we are real friends, I couldn't possibly not offer to help.

While I have certainly never sent a girl money, I have been caught on rare occasions in this way: The girl waits untill I am in her bareback, banging away, and oh maybe 2/3 to 3/4 along the way to attaining a successful insemination, when she begins to beg for a bit extra, 'just this time'. Firstly thanks to all that contribute to ISG. Your reports were most usefull. It pays to do your research and I certainly did mine.

I visited Bangkok for the 1st time last week. Was a short visit Fri night until Sun morning so I was keen to make the most of my time. I booked into the Dynasty Inn Grande in Soi 6. A good hotel, reasonable rates, big bathroom and big king size bed. Hotel is GF. The hotel is in a quiet Soi but close to the action.

No indication of any unrest at airport or on Suk road.
Business as usual in most although quiet.
