I was not sure, so I did not want to write something possibly misleading. Now, it's too late to edit my report, unfortunately.
I think Jackson should define some Ultra-Senior membership category (i.e., those with >100 reports or years of memberships with no antagonism) and allow them to edit reports longer. Having a forum under moderation is safe, but not convenient at times.
About "multas" (the fee to pay to take out a girl). So is it true?
I could not believe it, when the guy at the door of Queens asked me to pay it, because I was taking out a girl at 1am-2am or so.
I was not used to multas, so honestly I thought it was a scam attempt for the foreigner tourist. I smiled back, I asked to repeat (pagar? y porque?), then I laughed and I said "you can keep her here if you want me to pay". He let me and her to go, without insisting more. Maybe, it's because he saw me visiting the place (paying drinks) more than once.
About covers, I was surprised to see that all bars this year were asking 10k cover or so (including 1 drink usually). In Dec 2007, I did not pay any cover.
However, in Tu Candela I never paid any cover also this year, after a few minutes of chatting with the door guy the first night. He understood that I knew the place since before (and probably that I was going to pay more in drinks anyway).
Black Page, Another great series of reports, on par with Texans in Bogota. Thanks for taking the time to write them. I'd disagree with a few minor issues. As far as the quality of the food goes, I like La Vitrola much better than Santisimo or Juan del Mar. The ambience is better for your two picks though, and Santisimo at lunch is a good deal cost wise (I've never eaten there at dinner). I've paid more for lodging and food in El Centro than in Boca Grande/Laguito. And my couple of experiences at the Pleyboy Club were better than yours, although I haven't been there in a while.- I guess I've morphed into a lazy gringo that would rather walk down the street from my apartment to LDV instead of getting in a taxi and going somewhere, if I'm looking to do a pro.

I also belieive it is 10K to get in. So when we left they asked for 40K for me and the girl i laaughed and they dropped it to 20K for both of us.
I also believe Giro matto was the same 10K to get in, but the girls were 10K if they wanted to leave before 6 AM. i remember being in there at 6 Am once and everyone just ran for the door.

I don't recall paying cover in Queens.
Cover is/was usually negotiable in Tripletera, Tu Candela etc. They try it on in case you're a sucker fresh off the boat. If you pay, it goes straight in the doorman's pocket.
If you don't pay, you still get in.
I once got hit up for a 30k cover at Elektra (which is a free entrance club). I just looked the guy up and down, told him I'm in Cartagena all the time and was he really going to insist on the cover? The staff guy next to him immediately waved me in.

As a first time visitor, I don't want to mess up the pricing scale for everyone, especially those of you who have taken the time to give me some great tips.
What is the normal range that we should expect to pay for women? For example, if we meet someone at the beach during the day, what's reasonable for 2, 3 hours back at the house? What's fair for someone we meet in one of the clubs? Is the price "per pop", or just by the time spent? Also, what about the idea of several girls around the house for a few hours taking care of 4 or 5 guys...how would you expect that to be "priced"?
Maybe some of you know some ladies who would be perfect for our needs...I would greatly appreciate referrals (with photos and cell numbers; email addresses even better!)
As mentioned before, advice appreciated and we are happy to share with those who help us.

Hoser[/QUOTE]November 10 is a national holiday in Colombia. The pageant is always in the long weekend closest to this date. This year this should be 15 (Sun) and 16 (Mon) for the final events, but full of other stuff the whole week before that.
