First, the talent at Perola Negra, Paris Cafe, and online was not great. Second, it was that much more costly to get my backup favoritas from Copa / Ipanema to come. Third, going into the Termas in Copacabana or the Centro was a 45 minute chore each way. Last, it didn't have the all out fun vibe of Copa or Ipanema. On a positive note, it was safer and there were some nice restaurants.

It is a nicer beach during the day, but almost dead after 10 pm. No any people on the boardwalk. On the other hand, on Copacabana, there are people, beach cafes with live music, and people wondering around, until 2 am. So, next time I will rent in the middle of Copa. Maybe it is noisier and dirtier, but for the night mongering lifestyle is much more convenient.
