Landed back in dubai after a short vaccation today morning 00: 30. By 1:30, was out of terminal 2 after the mandatory Dutyfree shopping of Booze. First time here. Very well named, tons of Flips. Terrible music but cute little singer girls. Went on a Saturday night around 2300. There were a good number that were definitely NOT working, a few that likely were, and a whole lot where it was hard to tell. Approached two good candidates but they were just there for fun. Got numbers but if you're just in Dubai for a short time that't not alot of use. IMHO, due to the unclear status of some of the girls, Ratsky's can be a waste of time for someone who is on a short visit to Dubai and very 'down to business' oriented. Also the music was horid. I love LBFM's but I wouldn't go back. The one redeeming thing is that there is a restauarant at the hotel with a broad (Italian to Chinese to American to xxx) selection of food and booze that was cheap and tasty.


KuBu (Radison SAS):

BLUF: Lots of pretty skinny young things, decent prices and good attitudes.

Over my last 8 trips to Dubai KuBu has become my most reliable spot for a top-o-the-line pull. Always a good selection of dream girls that I find to have a better attitude than at some of the other high end places. It's a bar, not a disco, and when not too packed the environment is nice. No entry fee. Radison itself is girl friendly, as are several other walking distance hotels (Sheraton Creek and Hilton Creek). Never regretted going here or left empty when I was hungry :)


TGIT Cafe (Astoria):

BLUF: Too low end for my liking. The occasional gem, but keep the taxi waiting as you may leave soon.

Open during the day and early evening. Good place for a nooner. Like others have mentioned, sometimes it can seem like the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars but there are bargain humanoids to be found amongst the three eyed aliens. Definitely a lower end place with prices and clientele to match.


Seaview Hotel:

BLUF: Good band. So/so girls. Worth Going.

I'd go even if there were no girls. Such a nice band. The difference between this and all the other girl bar bands can't be emphasized enough. Most places I would be willing to pay the band to stop playing. They look like a rock band. They play like a rock band. I love it. I only noticed a few very good looking ladies so selection is a bit limited but it is definitely worth going to. Medium to low end of the price spectrum.


Rockafellas (Regal Plaza):

BLUF: Good selection, prices, and attitude.

This is the next best place to KuBu. Price are lower and there's always a decent number of the kind of ladies I crave. Also never had bad service with a girl from here. Generally I think the bands suck. There's a little known cafe/restaurant upstairs that is quiet enough to enjoy food and carry on a conversation. Access is via the steep metal spiral staircase at the back right of the club.


Premiere (Hyatt):

Selection: Very broad but dominated by China, White FSU, and EE. A few novelties like Albania.
BLUF: Like Cyclone. I might go back here but wouldn't recommend the place to a friend.

Reminds me of Cyclone. High prices and so/so attitude. Nice selection of girls but I really didn't like the feel of the place. Encountered some really convoluted business arrangements. We (three) met a quartet of girls. Deal was 1500DHS each until 0530 (it was 0200 ATT). No budge on price, no budge on time. Payment was to be half at the club (take her cigarettes to the bathroom, put half the money inside, then she'll take the cigarettes to her bathroom and check) and half up front at the hotel. I have been silent for some time and i clearly owed the forum a report on my not so fortunate activities.

The place was nothing like the crazy Russian girl place it used to be, like a poor man's cyclone. Now it was:

I did the circuit and walked straight back out, and asked the doorman what happened, saying I used to come here a few years ago and it was always busy. Soon enough I found myself on Maktoum bridge heading for more familiar territory of Bur Dubai and the Golden Triangle. As I headed down Bank Street, I saw Seaview, but had to make a few turns to get to it.

Believe it or not, I got lost in the back Streets of Bur Dubai, and accidentally found myself driving past Imperial Suites. So, Imperial Suites it was. After trying to park for 15 minutes, I found a nearby paid parking lot. I walked to Imperial Suites, but even at 1:00am, there was a queue of about 20 hot sweating guys arguing with the doormen to get in. I saw some ugly Chinese girls in black abayas coming out with some local guys (do Chinese girls really think they look like locals when wearing abayas???)

"Fuck this", I politely said to myself, and limped back towards the carpark. As I approached the carpark, I saw Panorama Hotel a few blocks away, so decided to hobble over for a look. I walked in and Man! it was a nightmare. From the entrance, I could see it was 95% men, and the over-crowded room was thick with smoke, and thin with unattractive fat girls. I said to myself "Be fair Piper, do a circuit and you might find a gem or two". I did the circuit, but didn't find a gem, so it was straight out the door again.
