Of course I had to pay (2000 to 3000 p an hour, I usually take 2 hours), but then, first she knows what you want and she has no problem with it, and second when she fucks, she really fucks, and not only for you, for her too !

In the salons, at the beginning it can be a little difficult as some girls want to make you come in the first 10 minutes even if you have taken 2 hours. I know this is a pretty silly question as it depends of many many variables, but is it possible to "survive" in Moscow with a daily budget of +/- 200 us$ ? (+ apartment)

By surviving I mean using metro during daytime, having light local lunch, 2/3 dates each day in nice cafes, dinners with drinks for two in georgian or russian mid-level restaurants, alternation of cosy evenings at apartment with GFs, cool nights out in unpretentious live-music bars and serious clubbing at mid-level clubs (with always important volume drinks for self and GF or potential target), taxis at night, and possibly joining a gym. No P4P or expat pick-up bars on my agenda. Some occasional visits to strip bars though, but just for a few beers, drinks for girls, some lap-dancing ... and eye candy!

Also do apartments rental companies usually negociate significant discounts for a long stay, something like 2500-3000 $/month ?

Thanks for the feedback. I am eager to visit Moscow (for not less than a one month stay) but my budget is maybe tight ...200$ is twice what I spend in Tashkent for a high rolling lifestyle though.

This would be for several months though... but given the current "slow" situation, you could probably get it for about that price even if only staying 2-3 months.

If your $200/day is all costs except apartment and P4P, sure. It's possible.

That'll be average costs though... some days you'll get by on $75 and other days spend $300 (restaurants + strip club + disco for example).

Depends on what you're expecting. I'm an expat living quite well and I pay $600/month for a room in a good apartment (one stop outside of the garden ring). I'm sure good apartments can be had for $1500 a month even for relatively short term (3-4 months). A night out can be quite cheap depending on what you're looking for. Some good clubs in downtown (kitaj gorod, lubyanka) are still zero cover and beers are about 100 rubles. So $20-$30 is doable for a night out by yourself. This is if you're looking for freebies and can work that angle (i.e. you're decently looking and not too old). Strip clubs are quite expensive (expect to spend $200 for nothing more than a decent time). I was at Bordo recently and a half hour full service there is 6,000 rubles minimum. Boarhouse/Chesterfields/Hot Dog's starts at about 6,000 for all night takeout.

Lunch is cheap if you get business lunch, about $5-8 a person.

This is not to say you should expect it to be so cheap, but it is possible. I mean many Russians live in Moscow on about $800/month, including renting a room in an apartment.

Regarding rental prices, indeed $2200-2500 is Tverskaya/Pushkinskaya or equivalent, 2 rooms, euroremont. One really needn't be that central for a long-term stay, as the metro connects you from just outside the garden ring to the center in 20-30 minutes.

Nonetheless, girls do love and are impressed by living on Pushkin Square for example... but it isn't a pre-requisite to fun. Besides, if you live on Pushkin Square, it is too tempting to go to Etazh, Pyramida, Goodmans etc. and spend way too much money... :)

Indeed. What scares me in a stay in Moscow is that for a thirsty party-goer such as me, there must be a huge gap between the good resolutions for not spending too much money (limiting yourself to the mid-level places, going out only four times a week, never exceeding the 10 mojitos or black russians in one single place, avoiding the "after-hours", ect) and what happens in reality. Too many tempting places to party.

Thanks for the infos anyway. I gonna go in Moscow only if I feel that I can remain "reasonable" there. Which seems unfortunatly virtually impossible. :)
