A question. I got a 6 hour layover in Japan. What would you guys do within that 6 hour period. Just give me something that's of the wall only because I got a short-attention span, and I wanna use that time wisely. Any Ideas?

Any Ideas?[/QUOTE]If you're layover is at Narita, you would barely make it to Tokyo before having to turn around and go back.If you're at Haneda, you might make it into town with enough time for a pre-arranged soap trip or something, but, barely.The wisest thing I think you could do is extend your layover.Anyway, best of luck.

Narita Airport has recently switched many airlines from their terminals dumping alliances together. Sometimes it's good, other times it's not. Terminal 2 seems to be better. There might not be enough time, nevertheless. You'd require a full day layover if you want to experience downtown Tokyo as it takes, presumably 90 minutes each way from Narita, this includes the train ride, waiting and walking to the trains, connecting trains, etc. Even through JR's Narita Express takes about 1 hour 10 minutes, it runs infrequent to the outer stations beyond Tokyo like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, etc. and you'd be caught trying to get back. I suggest, connecting to your flight, stay in that airline's lounge under the hope you are going to Bangkok or Hong Kong, then get laid at your final destination.All I can give are the following pointers if you have a layover somewhere like 8 hours.- JR Narita Express, approx 3000 yen one way to Tokyo. Yamanote to Akihabara, Ueno, Otachimachi and find a quicky there.- JR Local Sobu Express trains to Chiba. Lots of places in Chiba and closer to Narita. About 1 hour, but still the ride is long and monotenous.- Keisei Skyliner approx 2000 yen one way to Nippori or Ueno, catch a quicky there. Best bet.- Keisei Ltd Express train. 90 minutes. 1000 yen to Nippori, transfer to JR line there. There are some KMP quicky massage places there. BTW, The Keisei Limited Express trains are now local trains between Sakura and Narita, except the inbound Tokyo in the morning and the outbound Tokyo in the evening. They did this to try and sell more tickets on the Skyliner. I happened to be one of the lucky ones to find this out on its innaugural switch day. AHH!In Narita, they do have a couple of places, but you have to know where to look, they'll know why you're looking and they'll tell you to leave. Most have a sign that says "No Foreigners Allowed" (like apartheid) or "Japanese Only"! Outrageous, but I'm sure some moronic male airline crew members went in there and screwed it up oneday about 35 years ago. About 85% of the foreigners in Narita are crew. They act like they know Narita. Trust me, they know nothing about Narita.Money wise, stay in the airport lounge and go to Bangkok. I myself connect in Hong Kong to Bangkok. The rate for the girl of your choice at 2 hours for a foreigner is 75,000 yen. You paid 35,000 yen, so they gave you the janitor. Soapland has their own website that links all the establisments together with countless pictures of the girls faces (in Japanese). I belive DeepBlueVibes stated a few months back that he was in some way connected to AM didn't he, that he was reporting back to the manger? based on the way he asks, He is obviously connected to them, and I don't know why he seems to no longer be telling people this explicity like beforehand.
