Thats news to me. I will pay more attention next time as I was buzzed up and busy watching my hot ass regular girl dance. Now that I think about it, it sounded pretty damm good. Although, I'm use to Filipino bands rockin the house as they are incrediably talented.

Most people don't notice it, but if you are a musician you will see it right away.
And on Thursday nights during the Hot Body Dance contest. If a Korean enters the contest. For sure she will win. The owner is Korean and I guess he wants to keep his countrymen happy.

Just completed my first dedicated mongering trip (and first to PI), staying in Makati (? ) area if Manila, at the Pan Pacific.
I was more than happy with the girls available, but not thrilled with the very short walk for example between the LA cafe and the hotel. This is six blocks max and having just ran the Marine Corp Marathon a few weeks ago, the walk is not the issue. On a few occasions, I had street sellers/hustlers/beggars or whatev literally following me for blocks despite avoiding any interaction whatsoever.
I would love to have the same level of "commodities" available, and am wondering, since I'm an FNG, if Angelas City or Cebu are a bit more "civil" than Makati in their respective red light areas.

Pete - I have been going to Manila and Cebu for 20 years, and found the best way to handle beggars in Manila is to not even acknowledge their existence. DO NOT reply, don't even look at them. Never had them follow me for more than a few steps. Cebu will be better, in my opinion. Manila is so crowded that the beggars know where the foreigners hang out..same with Cebu, but have only encountered an occasional female and baby begging on Mango avenue. Cebu is pretty spread out. If you go, find a central location near Mango Ave. Midtown Hotel is good but they started charging for the girls you bring back. Good luck. Congrats. on the Marathon!!
I would greatly appreciate some information on where to meet women in Cebu, aside from the girls working in shops and offices. Rather than waste a lot of time visiting different bars and clubs, I would like to get some advice as to the BEST clubs or massage parlors to meet available girls. For those of you who are familiar with Cebu you can appreciate not wasting a lot of time going to overly expensive places or dumps. It is much better to at least have a little information about the territory.
What I would like to know is where are your favorite places where there are attractive, available girls who do not cost more than $30 short time, including bar fine (2-3 hours). I just saw my retirement disappear with the economic downturn and thus find myself in a less than desirable economic situation. I realize that once I pay the bar fine and have a session with the girl, then I may be able to negotiate time with her without the bar fine. It just puts more money in her pocket and allows for more flexibility.

Kreole, the only evening I spent in Cebu I was walking in the area of Mango Plaza. You have to blind and retarded not to find a pretty girl who fuck you for 30 USD there.
During the 1-1.5 hours I spent in the area I could have picked up at least ten girls that all where both pretty and young.
Don't even waste time worrying about this Kreole.

I visit Cebu regularly, I been to most of the bars and bikini bars. There are several in Mango Avenue, including Viking, BJS, Sisters, Lovecity, to name but a few.
If you venture off to Escario Street you will find a nice bikini bar called Stripes, its new and under new management. Great looking girls, nice cozy atmosphere, nice decor. its becoming the in place to visit.
Check it out if you are in Cebu and want to see a more secluded and special place.

About to book air into Cebu from Seattle and notice inclusive airfare is about 500$ more with connection through MNL, vs RT from Manila and booking a separate flight via domestic e.g. Phil Air RT from MNL to Cebu.
Any suggestions on how you all routinely fly in/out of Cebu, looking for a little $$ to save without too much hassle.
Had my first visit to the PI last month spending a week in the Pan Pacific in makati or malate or wtf, and had a blast.
I just booked 10 day stay with KAL into CEBU for Dec 2-12 (1257$, checked priceline, kayak, orbitz). Will 10 days be too short?? Too long?? Should I allocate more time next go round for a jaunt to Thai or 'nam??
I'm looking at staying initially at the Diplomat for cheap but reasonable accomodation, located near action.
The Pan in MNL was very nice, but luxurious accomodation unneeded. I want a decent room with good location (poontang), gf friendly and reasonably safe.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Yeah there are a lot of great Filipino Cruise ship bands.
Most people don't notice it, but if you are a musician you will see it right away.
I'm a musician and here's what I've noticed:
1. Zero originality. Slavish copying only
2. No sense of volume balancing. Drums are always WAY too loud
3. No sense of cleanness vs distortion. Volume is always cranked up to 125% of the systems ability to reproduce without introducing speaker distortion.
4. Hires vocalists on the basis of, ready to screw the bandleader; NOT on ability to sing in tune.
Foreigners hire Filipino bands because they:
A. Have a parrot's ability to memorize english lyrics.
B. Are willing to work dirt cheap, often off the books.
