Usually when you rent apartment in condo for short term like daily or weekly, electricity, water and at least one day of cleaning a week is included in the price, no extra charge for this.
On many boards I always read that people use this 2 website for VT6:
http://www.honeyscoffeehouse.com/
http://www.dancewatchers.com/VT6_Pattaya_Nightly_Condo_Rentals_Menu_page_1.html
I have used Dancewatchers in the past to rent a studio in one of their VT buildings in Jomtien. I was most happy with their excellent service. I'm sure you can get the same or similar apartments for a cheaper price elsewhere, but as you say: what will happen if the agency disappears? Better to use agencies that are already many years in this line of business and have a good track record.

I respect your experience, judgment and recommendation. That's who I will use. Thanks again for your help! Cheers!

Premier was Ozo
Booking Premier Inn (http://global.premierinn.com/pattaya/hotel/pattaya) for 4 nights in mid March. Their reviews are quite positive. If anybody has stayed over there or if there is another better hotel in this price range, do let me know.
Few days back I saw Wave Hotel was offering rooms at giveaway prices like $30 per night. Now it's back to their original price. Anybody has any idea on this?
Musical,
I have booked the Premier Inn as well, this time for 10 nights beginning 6 March. I stayed for a similar time last year when it was the ozo hotel and found it quite good but with little or no view. Hopefully it's just as good this time with new management. The location is perfect for me although the pool on the roof is fairly small and the fridge won't make ice.
Yours in mongering.
Johnie.

and the fridge won't make ice.
Just go to your local 7-11 and buy a big bag of ice cubes. It's what the Thai do.

I have been advised that there is a 1000 TBH cleaning and laundry charge at the end of the rental period, a 2,200 TBH fee for standard maid services for the entire rental period, a 300 TBH fee for VAT for the rental period, and 450 TBH is deducted from the Pay Pal deposit (I assume that is a pass through of the Pay Pal fee that they have to pay Pay Pal.
Appreciate any one who has used Dance Watchers who can confIrm the above?
Thanks in advance as I have not used a condo apartment in Asia before (only in Europe and Latin America).

I have no idea what the "maid services" include. Probably not what I am thinking about. ;) Although i did read somewhere that Tik of Dancewatchers upon request arranges for a massage in your room when you arrive.
Just ask them what costs they charge. I found Dancewatchers very open and communicative.

Yes, I came to know it was Ozo. I'll be staying between 10th-15th. We might can meet.
And of-course they are 100 & guest friendly. So no worries if somebody is looking for that aspect.
Haha. Maid service as in cleaning the condo apt 5 days a week.
Supplementary maid service at VT6 includes changing the sheets and supplying clean towels every day Monday thru Friday. Maid service is not available on Saturday or Sunday. It is worth the nominal additional cost.

Haven, compare VT6 prices with a site like hotels.com. With hotels.com you get maid service 5 days per week plus bottled water refreshed daily. Maid service is so good I was doing dishes one day and she told me to watch TV while she took over the dish washing.
I also previously sent you a link to VT6 rentals that are imo cheaper than dancewatchers and they include free maid service every 3 days. Some of the condos have washer/dryer in the unit.

Take a look around because those rates are a little high for Thailand.
1000 baht for cleaning after the rental period? It should only be about 350 to clean the place and 250 for laundry. So there are charging 400 more.
Plus, if you pat 2,200 for 5 days cleaning 'during' your stay, how much cleaning is necessary when you leave? Not much.
IMO they are overcharging. (but it might be convenient for you).
It might be a better option to waive the so called standard maid services. Just pay after leaving.
Of course that means you will need to get the sheets and towels cleaned every so often (depending on how long you stay).

Every picture tells a story, don't it?
Its good to see such ancient looking geezers. Late 60's to 75, I guess. Makes me feel somewhat young, relatively, having reasonable amounts of hair colour remaining (without dying).
Looks like two of them had LT girl stay to breakfast. Girls look slightly pudgy, short and a bit older to suit ancient guys. I guess they would not post sex bomb looking girls.
What is going on behind guy in the cheque shirt? Fingers on his head? Is it a reflection or Ghost or what? Can anyone make sense of that? Maybe reflection of someone taking the photo?

Unfortunately, just an hour before I saw your posts I already transferred the money via Pay Pal for the booking.
BTW, the reservation cost is for 16 nights. So, excluding weekends something like 12 nights for 2200 BTH or about 190 TBH per day for maid service.
Well, perhaps I am paying more than I should (and I already had a reservation pretty much across at the Bayview in the tower premium category with full Buffett breakfast, which I will now cancel as it is fully refundable through Travelocity.) See my post from a few days ago, when I started this request for input and suggestions.
I will keep you guys updated on my experience with this rental company for VT 6 , so that it can be an additional data point for other interested visitors to Pattaya. But, I don't arrive for almost another 2 months. .
Cheers!
