I was thinking that I will probably end up staying for a few more days. If I can't extend my apartment stay, I want a back up plan.

That's for you, not only me I stayed there many times,but also it is often reported in gpguia as hotel where to bang girl, for me very good, also it has breakfast buffet until noon, so you can have big breakfast-lunch there, not luxus, but good enough for me.

Was going to give Renata a quickie but talent in BA85 was quite good and I ended up shafting someone else. Lazer 3 round the corner in Leandro Martrins is as awful as always. Two girls dragged me in and got huffy when I turned them down. Almost next door at Lazer 5 is a place I usually quite like though - meaty handshakes from the entrance guy, nice place for a beer, and a good jukebox. Girls tend not to wear make-up, which was ok when they were fit, but today´s bunch looked unappealing. Afrodite was shut when I passed (2pm), with a p*ssed off gata on the phone outside trying to get in. Nice new place is Uruguiana 210 almost opposite Afrodite (look for the balloons over the doroway just now). This is just the far side of Pres.Vargas from Uruguiana station. Unsettlingly clean for the area. Charming young girl took me by the hand and gave me a tour. I chose the aircon suite (slightly pricier - 45R for half hour) and had quite a nice time. Large room decorated with beanbags, guitar cutouts on the wall and imaginative decor. Very unrushed. Heading down to Carioca59 cos I like to eat at Bar Luiz (good German specialties in immaculately run place). The internet shop on the way in Saara (on Conceicao just off Luis de Camoes) has a fast connection (Chinese run). Oh yes - the knock-off copy of the new Samba-enredos (songs) is in Uruguiana market already for 10R if you can´t wait. ;)

Just in case anyone´s struggling to find it, Cicciolina is near Prado Junior but not in it. It´s on the corner of Princesa Isabel (the main street that separates Copa and Leme) and Viv.Mineiros de Castro. As the boites go, I agree it´s probably one of the better ones. I used to see a girl who worked there regularly (but booked her outside which was cheaper). Prado Junior is the next street along, parallel to Isabel.

What time can the girls leave Cicciolina? How about Franks? I am not to keen on paying the exit fee for the girls, especialy, if she is got going to spend the entire night!!

Frank's American Bar, located on Avenida Princesa Isabela, has been out of business since at least early November 2009. I was in Rio in mid-October and stopped into Frank's, it was dead inside, but at least open. Upon my return to Rio the first week of November the place was out of business, and was still out of business when I was in Rio last week. There was an early 20's smoking hot stunner named Simone working in there, from Mato Grosso with an absolutely stunning body and a large tattoo around her waist (which I normally despise, but this girl was the exception). I saw her in there two or three times over the past six months but never got to fuck her and maybe now never will. I used to like Frank's because the drink prices were reasonable and I would bring my first-time visiting buddies to the live sex show they had. Another one bites the dust.

As reported, Balcony now is so packed you have to come here to see with your eyes to believe it !!!
I guess you have to come at 18h to find a chair free, it is very chaotic, too much people walking and stand up qround balcony and most of them....look and watch each other, yes they spoke and too, but the feeling is that now they are as waiting for something-somebody where in Help they were there to have fun.
Another difference is the price, it really seems 150 reais is a standard, but.... where on Help was quite easy to get overnight, I have now the feeling it is just suck and fuck, as many girls went away with gringo and after short time came back alone again. They try to get the same money as before getting 2 or 3 men in the same night, so I guess the service is not that good then....
Let's say you have almost the same girls of help at balcony,but obviously nobody dance and it was nice to see girls dance at help, you cannot sit down as in TA or as outside help upstairs, so personally I got tired very soon.
I also see from faces of girls, they look like almost angry, it is obvious they work way much less than in help, for example in help many got easily drunk from drinks paid by gringos, but at balcony most of girls stand up, walk and no drink at all. So think same girls but with no alcol, not much fun.
At help there was also music, good or bad, but contributed to make the place feel alive, at balcony now you are right in front of the street.
I went to cicciolina, 30 reais entrance for 2 drinks, nothing good, but.....you see many girls get inside, often the same of balcony, stay there for 5-10 minutes and leave. the feeling now is really the same as at balcony, 2-3 questions, then take her or she leaves, almost no conversation, not chance to spot if she is cold fish or not.
Barbarella: very hight ration women man, but only sort of 20-30% left with gringo. 60 reais entrance and.....listen, girls ask 5-600 reais, yep the same price as before, but when i asked for how much time, one told me that she does not look to the time, so i asked, it means what ? Oh, if we have nice time even 1,5 hour or 2.....cause normal 5-600 hour is for one hour ? LOOOOL
Also some girl of balcony walk on avenida atlantica, stops, try to work as streetwalker, stop cars and so on, then the move or back again to balcony.
What is very funny for me is, that with help you had TA and Help with hookers, but from the streets look normal place.
Now you have huge crowd around balcony and tons of streetwalkers all around the streets there, so for a normal carioca person it looks much worst now, as prostitute and mongers are not closed inside one place, but everywhere, the feeling now prado junior + balcony turned into a red light district, so my qyestion is.....they wanted to clean up help, now even from monger point of view it looks worst, and less practical too, what the next step ?

Isn´t it about 4am? I usually sit in Nog and watch them leave. But although I´ve sessioned with one or two girls from Ciccy´s, I´ve always pulled them on their nights off when they´re drinking and socialising elsewhere. When they were dressed up for a night at Ciccy´s they didn´t want to walk out and be seen going home with me at my prices!
