Any good advice on apartments (girl/privacy-friendly) to rent in Tashkent?

I can't find what I am looking for via google, so any help from expats or experts in Uzbekistan would be very welcome (PM also possible).

Uzbekistan seems like a tough nut of a country to crack! I'm on Daves ESL Cafe researching teaching english there for a year or 2. I came across 1 guy who started with Language Link and withing 6 months he and LL had a falling out? So he freelanced privates and classes netting $3Kusd a month before his visa ran out and he had to leave!

Does anyone really know how easy it is or not to get employment at Westminster Univ. Language Link? Or even a longer visa. Than a just a month?

Anton, the manager of uzflatrent.com, has recently moved to Russia and scrapped his company (which could be reprocessed by his assistant though).

Apartments are tough to find in Tashkent now.

I can provide the mobile number and email contact of an apartment owner who rents directly two of his properties for short periods in Darhan neighborhood. But I just don't want to publicize it here, as dozens of daydreamer mongers could harass him with quibbling requires and finally never come. PM if really interested and serious about going to Uzbekistan.

Anyway FYI, any intermediation deserves salary. And those improvised "real estate brokers" specialized in short-term rentals are VERY useful to the monger.

Since your a very knowledgeable guy I went ahead and read some of your previous posts regarding this country etc... Anyhow, I want to THANK YOU for your kick a**!! advice that you tried to give to that dj guy about getting his wallet put together first by driving/working at a high paying ME job. A 2-3 yr cdl job in Afghanistan/Iraq or the oil fields is a small price to pay in order to lock away some $$ so you can enjoy UZ or Paraguay while tefling/stock trading in my case.

The "unspoiled" countries are dwindling fast so I'm off to KBR, or Fluor to see of they'll take some young dude with just a business degree and a cdl?

The GF will keep me on the usual tight leash, but I can slip away for a night (more like an evening), so if you want to get together for several rounds of drinks, just let me know.

Why do these European flights arrive and leave (literally) at the crack of dawn?

But it will not be for this time. After several weeks of procrastination for August vacations, I've finally decided to spend two weeks + with a Russian GF in Thailand.

Since this morning, I have a shiny Uzbek visa in my passport. I should be in Tashkent for 25 days from July 19. I'll be staying in an apartment. No business - just pleasure. :)
