solo safety?
I have a question for you guys.
I think I'm going to have a couple of days free in the near future and I'm thinking about heading to Bangkok for a couple of days. I've been to Pattaya before, but not Bangkok.
Do you guys think that Bangkok is a safe enough place for one guy to walk around and explore?
Nighttime vs Daytime?
What do you guys think?

Darling MP
I’m working 2 hours car ride north-east from Bangkok so I can enjoy Bangkok only on the weekends, if the workload allows it. I do not have permanent Internet access up here, sorry for the late report.
Went on Saturday late afternoon to darling, have had a drink while looking at the fishbowl. Around 25 gals were present and I choose a girl named Toy, a rather older then younger girl, since the massage would be better, was my thought.
Up in the room, she took of my shoes, socks while we were waiting for the second drink. After the drinks arrived we went into the bath and she washed while using her body, asked me if I want BBBJ, later I could have a second shoot too. Wow, what a service, CIM!
Followed she prepared the mattress for a soapy massage, again a great pleasure for me. Shower again and go to the bed. Toy then give me a Thai massage and something was growing between my legs. Get a condom over it and slighted it into her pussy slowly and easy, did several positions and finished in doggy style. For the rest of the time she continued to massage my body. All in all it was very good. Paid 2500 Baht without the drinks and tipped her 1000 since I have had 2 shoots.
Done, my first report.
First thing the BG goes far in your hotel room is the TV remote. Most if any don't have cable where they live and they will surf your room TV with the remote and at times go through adding a few pay for view movies to your bill.
My son gave me a fake TV remote which I brought with me on my February trip. I put the actual remote in a draw and left this one by the TV. On this remote when you push the on button the operator receives a slight electric shock. Nothing that would injure or really hurt but it is such a supprise they drop the remote and leave it alone for the remainder of their visit.
I just tell them that it must be broke and I will have housekeeping replace it tomorrow. Helps keep their mind on the purpose of their visit.
Capt JB, you must fly into LOS with 300 lbs of gear. You really do cum prepared, don't you! FUNNY STORY !
I just throw the remote in the safe. Most of these girls are to lazy to get up to change the channel, so they quickly lose interest.

If you RTFF, including FAQ and Reports of Distinction, you'll soon learn that it is absolutely not a good idea to troll the streets of LOS by yourself. Unlike down south, it's full of pickpocket, scam artists, ugly ladyboys and lots of loud obnoxious japanese tourists, jacking up the prices.
Stick to Pattaya....

<danger>
I have never had a problem in BKK, walking through unknown areas, getting lost on the motor bike at night, riding through klong toey for thrills. I would liken bkk to nyc as far as safety goes [much safer than LA]; in fact, I would say that Black Hair will encounter more danger on the highway than you will when out punting.
take care though as I do have a bit of dumb luck on my side.
Black Hair be careful...the roadways to and fro bkk can be treacherous. Not banditos just bad drivers and aggressive buses. it takes some getting used too.

Bangkok hazards...
First time I was in BKK, I got lost around 11pm in some way off hood. Got on the wrong bus, got off in the wrong spot...
Guess what?
I got a lift from a uni professor and her driver to a 'safe area'.

1Ball,
My gear is not too heavy. I bring 2 bearers and a small mule.

Safety
BKK is safe day and night as long youi are in the Sukhumvit area or Patong. Few first time visitors leave that area anyway. Just don't drink too much while walking alone and watch out for katoeys, as they are expert pickpockets.
Do you guys think that Bangkok is a safe enough place for one guy to walk around and explore?
I walk around all sorts of dodgy areas late at night. As long as you're a little streetwise you won't have any major problems.
There are plenty of Thai freaks around, but the Westerners here are far worse.

Duty Free Booze
They will sell you all you can carry. You are outside of the customs area when you get to the duty free store.
It is cheaper in the duty free store.
Incoming Duty Free is past immigration and before Custom's. Just buy the shit downtown. Foodland isn't that much more expensive and sometimes cheaper.

I have walked around day and night in BKK without any problems but I was mostly in the well known- well travelled areas of BKK.
Seriously, Not that I plan to pay the bad areas a visit but just for reference, where are the known dangerous and bad areas of BKK that one should avoid , as I read somewhere that these are places even the local Thais don't travel thru ?

Safety
Just use your fucking head. Don't get too drunk, don't act stupid, don't wear a Rolex, gold chains and rings. And don't walk down deserted unlit alleys. Be careful of whom you take back to your room and have them register at the desk so the police can trace them if necessary. Better yet, use your hotel safe and only carry the cash you need and one credit card that can be replaced. It's just plain common sense.
I have been all over BKK at all hours of the day and night and have not had any problems. Some of the nicest people I have met have been in areas where most people are afraid to travel. Most crime in BKK is the non-violent type. However, last year an Embassy Security Official was attacked on Langsam about 10 p.m. by two or three Thai males with iron pipes. Probably more to the story than we know.

I don't mean to sound arrogant, or like i'm taking the p*ss, But if i'm out on the town, i invariably drink too much, with that amount of alcohol i have no doubt that i will do something that someone will consider stupid at some point during the evening, i wear my real watch (farrang gold not Thai) and i wear my Thai wedding ring. I carry the entire contents of my wallett, in my wallett, i pick up girls from places i could never find again, i goto ST hotels with them, no ID, no security, and i enjoy myself. i do all of this in Western orientated places and Thai places. In over 6 yrs, i've only once had a bad experience, and that experience was something that would of happened anywhere in the world under the same circumstances, it involved a girl, a club, alcohol, me, and a another guy (Thai), and even that ended with everyone smiling and sharing whiskey.
But i do completely agree with you on this one
It's just plain common sense
If you go looking for trouble, you will find it, its definetly there, and there is a 99% chance when you find it, you will wish you hadn't.
If your 'normal', use common sense, stay Sanook, and can control your temper, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.
Have fun.
