Davao is Where You Shoud Be, NOT the Small Towns
Guys,
For the Socially Challenged Karp (SCK) there are stores down on San Pedro that put some very large furnitue and appliance boxes outside until the trash gets picked up. This is once a week. You can easily sleep in one of these as long as you do not mind a few "Guests" (drunk filipinos, rats and wasted street walkers). Be sure to conceal your valuables inside a condon inserted into your body cavity (when you awake you can remove the valuables and use the condom to bang one of the SW's beside you).
Achillesheel,
Years ago I did these excursions into the countyside to meet young filipinas. I ALWAYS regretted it. Once I found myself in waist deep ( I am 6'4") water pushing the taxi across a river (Yes a fucking river that ran over the dirt road at one point). A few times I had to walk the last mile or two as the road ened. I finally realized what a wste of time, energy and money this was. I have NOT done this since 1998. END OF STORY.
Virtualy all the women I meet live in Davao or just outside it. The others will either come to Davao by bus to meet me or find some other guy to be the dumbshit and make the journey. IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT! What they think is comfortable most of us would find unbearable. One girl invited me to stay with her Family saying, "we are nine people sleeping in one room but you are wlecome (what the fuck is one more body on the floor!)".
She is a virgin and you are going to her Place and you think you are getting laid??? I am already taking wagers on this one. Did you ever know anyone who raised farm aniamls or dogs? The female is always brought to the male's territory for breeding. I laughed years ago when a Family wanted to breed their AKC registerd famale dog to my champion stud. They asked if we minded him being at their home as they were concerned for the safety of their little "lady". I said," just sign a Letter releasing me from all responsibility when he bites a few of you, tears up your home and pisses everywhere (the Guy has to mark his new territory).
You want to get laid? Then tell the Lady to come to you. Want an "adventure" travelling around the countryside of Davao Del Sur, then go visit her. Bring tons of OFF or some other super powerful mosquito repellent and every possible necessity of normal life. They will possess none of this. Be sure of transportation back to Davao the same day UNLESS you do not mind sleeping on the floor or a wooden bed (I once in a Home outside Zamboanga City slept on a bed with some wooden logs as a pillow under mosquito netting in 85 degree humidity; lost ten pounds sweating).
As to virgins: did you readthe Post in Cebu from the gentleman who met a few? A good Post but it appeared he spent a lot of time 'trying to get laid', not getting laid, or like my nephew, the Kid, "almost getting laid". This last Trip to Davao of the seven ladies I fucked in Davao, one was a virgin. My first virgin in two years. A very sweet lady who literally asked me over the internet to take her virginity. She showed up at my Marco Polo hotel room ready to fuck. I need to post on it. But in brief, whe was very sweet but it was by far the worst fuck I have had in the last ten years.

Virginity, the Achilles Heel?
Achillesheel sounds like one of the new breeds of cherry hunters trolling the chat sites like CB and even some of the nudie chat sites looking for cherry girls to bust open. Promising them or giving them hopes of marriage in order to the be the first one and guarateed disease free. They never admit they are cherry hunters but there are some of them out there. A cherry to NEARLY ALL decent looking Filipinas is more valuable than gold, its all they have. The ugly and older ones will give it up to the first guy willing to fuck them. The younger hot ones are waiting for a sponsor and a way out of their shithold.
I'm with the DS on this. While I would avoid virgins like the plague, as I hate the mess, the emotions and the lousy sex, I certainly don't disparage others who enjoy the hunt. I agree with Optimus that empty promises of marriage or something longer term are repugnant, but there's no indication from Achilles or from anyone else on this board that that's the case here. Let's not impute motives to someone who hasn't made them clear. I'm not sure I agree that for most girls here, their cherries are "more valuable than gold." Some have just never met a guy who turns them on enough to give it up. Others want to lose it to a foreigner, and there are doubtless others saving it for true love. But let's not automatically assume that all or even most virgins fall within this category.
I remember once, about 5 years ago, before I even met my wife, I met a friend of one of DS' then-girlfriends who was a nurse, a virgin, and came to my place determined to lose that status. I didn't oblige her due to the reasons cited above but there were certainly no promises on my part, and no declarations about any lasting relationship. I remember that she brought her young sister along, plunked her in front of the TV and then hauled me off to the bedroom for her first sexual experience. It didn't happen, but that was because of me and not her. I think that, as is the case with men, so too do women have varying motives for holding onto and giving up their virginity.
In the case of Achilles, getting trapped with a virgin queen in a small town, surrounded by her family and friends could be an extremely unpleasant experience. On the one hand, if he does screw her, the family and friends and community will all know about it 2.7 seconds after it happens, and they may have very high expectations indeed. Achilles my man, this is not a great idea; not for anything having to do with morality, but because it could be a serious threat to your safety at worst and at best to your emotional wellbeing.
If you want to see her, meet her in Davao and do not, under any circumstances agree to allow her to bring relatives, friends, chaperons, pets, acquaintances or any other sentient beings. If she ignores your admonition and shows up with the retinue in any case, bail the hell out as quickly as possible. Change hotels, change sim cards and cease communicating. Believe me, I know whereof I speak, and I've seen countless horror shows, all deriving from the same circumstances you describe. One poor bastard I know, who "met" the girl under the same virtual circumstances you describe, got stuck paying the hotel charges for the entire family which showed up en masse in Davao. On day three or this debacle, he asked me what to do and was so freaked out by the experience that he waited till everyone was sleeping, sneaked out of the hotel, went to the airport and caught the next flight to Manila! However, he still got stuck for excessive hotel bills.
For all you guys out there who think you've met "the one" via some Internet site and who plan to come here and meet her, watch your collective asses. She may, in fact, be as sweet, undemanding, loving and gorgeous as you hope, but the odds are at least 50-50 that, unless you're reasonably intelligent about the circumstances of your first meeting, you're going to wind up in an untenable situation. And for those of you who insist, as many will, that: "But this girl is different. I just know it," you should understand that I've heard exactly the same comment from every guy I know who wound up in less than a convivial situation.

Bumblefuck is my middle name
Well that got the conversation going now didn't it? First of all let me say that I am not a cherry hunter. I have had opportunities even in the U.S. to do it and I just took a pass, because I know the baggage that comes with it. The novelty is gone for me and that's the funny thing. Most guys are looking for a girl who can fuck them senseless while preparing a fine endive salad for the guests. Well, that's my hunt at least for anyone I would consider hitching up with. I lived with 3 women I considered marrying in the U.S., one from the midwest, one on the east coast and one on the west. I never did, because I know what works and what I want now and I intend to do my best to find it.
So that being said, this girl is actually someone I just have fun talking to as well as her being a cutie. It's the first time in a long time that I can just goof around with someone talking and be ok with that. I am not "head over heels" or trying to be the first guy to break her in- I'm just seeing if there's something there that might be worth the hassle, yes including her inability to have sex. I know (duh) that at any time if it doesn't seem to be right, or there's a scam going on I can bolt to Davao and it's all there. So I'm not shaking in my boots if I get in a jam. I think we're all on CB playing the odds for fun, but always hoping to find the diamond in the rough. I just want to get close enough to check the color. Cool?
Damn Optimus, I'm not Megatron, so don't come gunning for me like I'm going for your daughter. Thanks for the nice block up front DS, appreciate the space to confirm that I am not a dirtbag softie. As far as where the hell she is, she wants to meet me at Lumbia Airport, I think that's the name. She is very cautious and unless one of you tells me this is the HQ of the local terrorists, I'm going to go see her. If she really is great then I'll stay for a bit. She even said after I meet her she'd be happy to travel with me while I was there. I do not want to hurt her because I like her. If it turns out I need to bail, I will not try to get some before I do. That's why there are so many scammers out there everyone gets burned and burns back. Don't want to be the one that starts the pattern for her.
I would NOT bring her to Davao, that being my back up in case she turns out to have a penis or extreme halitosis. Davao is my safe haven. And if I don't find something special, I want to be hitting everything I possibly can while I continue to look. Thanks for the feedback though, as always appreciate the knowledge GE and DS. I also think she talked about going to Cayagan De Oro for more things to do. Maybe this will give you an idea about where generally she is.
She knows I'm flying into Davao, and she questions me daily about other girls so she is not stupid either. I think we're both taking a risk and that makes us even, so we'll see. I think I have to keep a room there even if I go see her, because I'm going to be dragging major baggage with me for my flight back to the States. Can you recommend a hotel where my stuff will be safe even if I'm not occupying the room. I just thought about this problem today. See you in about 30-
Ways of taking Money with you when traveling?
Well DS this Davao thread is worth reading these days, apart from the sarcastic SCK comments, haven’t you heard of backpackers before? Anyway thanks for the warning about the dangers of cheap accommodation in a strange land. I know you really care about all of us.
I am coming to stay in Davao for about 2 weeks and then I will be island hopping. Apart from the initial 2 weeks I have no set plans I have a list of girls to visit but am not committed to anything and haven’t told anyone the dates of my travel. I’ll be hanging free seeing where the wind blows I hope to get orientated once in Davao.
I am looking for advice on handling cash while travelling I don’t want to carry a lot of money around. On my first trip I used traveller’s cheques and a little cash. I’ll never do that again. The next time I took all my cash with me in $US100 notes in a money belt, that, was stressful. This time I’ll have a visa debit card with me and a credit card but I’m not happy bringing the CC. A friend sent himself some money through Western Union before he went to the PI and used it when he was deep in the probince. I’m warming to that idea as an emergency backup.
I used a Thomas Cook card when traveling in Europe but Europe is not the PI. Has anyone used an ExpressNet card. I was told you could get one and load up your cash in it and use it extensively when travelling around the islands as not all ATMs accept foreign cards in remote places? How sound an idea is it? Any advice would be appreciated.
