Cebu Bars

I didn't spend much time bar hopping this trip, but a few quick observations (as of March 2015).

BG's Bar is closed. The former Exotica / Pussycats / etc is now a sports bar. Same owner as Lone Star apparently. The upstairs VIP section is now a tattoo parlor, which is visible from the bar. The waitresses will chat you up, much like Geckos. The night I popped in there was a live band.

Any recent updates on Go Go bars in Cebu city? (preferably near the Radison). How common are SP's lurking around the mall nearby?

Much appreciated fellow punters.

1. Planet X, Twisted Sister, and other go go bars have minimal talent (not sure about before 12 pm). SP's want 3500 pesos++ Went back following day, only decent one I had chatted up night before was taken, so went with her friend. Big mistake. CBBJ, couldn't do anything, body completely different than on stage (all covered up when dancing). Had to finish myself off, playing with milky saddlebags LOL.

2. LIV club had a few SP's but were with their ST BFs. Mostly locals hanging out trying to be look hip.

3. J. Ave the best and only option. Do not waste your time anywhere else. Freelancers galore, young, hot and plentiful. Higher end asking for 3500++pesos but negotiations may be possible. Can't believe NO-ONE has posted this earlier. BAD ISG punters BAD.

You had a crap experience and you didn't sugar coat it, but IMO you could have reduced your chances of getting a starfish. You should have inquired about what services were on the table BEFORE taking her out of the bar. GRO's that cover up almost always do so to hide shit like bil-bil, sagging tits or messed up stomachs with loose skin due to childbirth. You should have sat in an area of the bar that has less eyes on you (if possible) and bought her a LD then asked to see her goods and played around with her.

I usually put a 50 php bill under my beer and tell her that will be her tip if I can have a peek here and a quick feel there. You can tell if she's really into you or your wallet. If she spends more time looking at the 50 php, you have your answer. If I liked what I saw (good body and willingness to allow me to play around some) I would give her the 50 php, buy her another LD and repeat with a 100 php bill. Usually this way the GRO realizes I'm not a cheap Charlie and let's her know I will take care of her if she takes care of me di ba. That and knowing the bartenders and mamasan on a first name basis and shooting the bull with the owner doesn't hurt either.

Regular nightclubs are usually a younger man's playground or you have to have some game to pick up if you are older. It used to be easier to pull regular non-pro Filipinas from clubs, but it's getting harder and harder for us older gents these days. Not to say it doesn't happen, it just takes a lot more effort and skill.

For well over a decade Mango square has been discussed on this forum and others as being the best place to pick up a semi-pro looking for some pesos or a GRO that just got off work without a barfine. RTFF mate, it's not a secret, and the reason Mango square is not discussed to a great extent here is because this topic deals mostly with Cebu City and area bars that have a barfine or EWR system.

So BAD on you for not taking the time to RTFF. BTW 3500++php is a joke. They saw you were a fresh-off-the jet two week peso millionaire and priced things accordingly. I routinely pull doubles out of Julianas for a lot less than you were quoted.

BAD ISG punters BAD.[/QUOTE]Only J Ave. That is boring and been around too long (and I tell that to the owners LOL) Try LIV Superclub, try MO2, try Monastery as there are lots of good alternatives, as many of the J Ave girls I know hang elsewhere as the Koreans are taking over J Ave in their view.

Surprised at lack of traffic, taxi drivers not trying to rip you off, lack of beggars however poverty is still obvious.

Stayed 2 nights at hotel pier Cuatro, which is opposite arena KTV, standard room 1200 php but only has 2 single beds, upgrade to a deluxe for 1600 php, includes free breakfast, no safe in rooms, good AC, reasonable shower.

Night 1, headed straight out front door into arena KTV, 200 php entry, 500 php for girl friend entry, didn't pay entry free but was able to have a look inside, looked huge, full of Koreans, girls looked quite high class.

Left and taxied to mango ave (65 php), I didn't take my notes, and find myself in a area full of disco night clubs, FL were obvious but had my girl friend with me so wasn't approached, but plenty of eye contact.

Taxied to voodoo as that was all I could remember from notes, however it was closed down, taxi then took us to to another KTV called infidels, drinks where 100 php, one dancer at a time, you pick a girl cost 500 php, she sits with you for an hour and gets 1 free tequila shot any more drink you have too pay. I picked a girl and she explained the ropes to me, she told me take out was 5000 php, VIP rooms where $1500 php for an hour but included some drinks can't recall how many drinks, surprised that venue was totally smoke free, left after 45 minutes and back to hotel.

Night 2, after a little research headed to Vikings go go bar, but it was closed and opens at 8 pm.

Over the road was a sports type bar called El geckos, with plenty of waitresses, drinks 65 php, LD 150 php great bar, pool table and live band after 8 pm, waitresses can not be barring, and get 40 php commission from drink only, had a blast with the girls so much fun, girls are more than willing to meet after hours.

Night 3. Headed back to El geckos at 7 pm, had a great time brought my 4 waitresses 2 bottles of tequila 3000 php each which totally Shit faced all 4 girls, 8. 30 pm headed to Vikings, again only 1 or 2 dancers at a time, line up was ok similar to AC bars, drinks 65 php, lady drinks 180 php, after 5 minutes got my GF to pick 4 girls for me, brought another tequila bottle for 4000 php, take outs where 3000 php.

Had a great time overall.

Cebu is great place and welcome change to AC.

Back in AC now.

For another 1000 php per night you could have stayed in a lot nicer place and that's not a dig at you, just a suggestion. Personally if you were only in CC for a few days I would pay the extra and upgrade. I know everyone's different with different needs and budgets so maybe you could post a review on the Cebu Hotel section.

While everything you wrote is correct. Let me update you about about J Ave. Last time I was there, 1 girl for every 5 guys. It was even impossible to get an eye contact since non-English speaking Koreans filled the joint up and throwing money to FL crowd. So, I would skip J Ave for right now.

I've just had 5 days in Cebu and here's my take on things, my crazy experience.

Night 1.

Went to Mango Sq about 12.30 am and got shown up to Passions who had a great live band. A street girl wandered in so we had a boogie and a couple of beers. I told her several times I wasn't taking her (tired I'd been travelling for 24 hours) but she can drink with me. Went to couple of other discos, the one we were in closed and then she said she knew another one and headed down a side road.

I walked about 10 metres and it looked a bit dodgy so I said no. She said come to my room just down here for 1500, again I said no. She got agressive so I said I'd give her 500 to go away, she didn't want that either. A taxi came past so I stopped it and got in but she tried to jump in next to me, I kept pushing her away but she started pulling my shirt and scratching my neck. The driver just sat there, so I jumped out and walked away. Then I felt what turned out to be a rock hit my back, I turned around and another one hit my forehead, blood started pouring down my face.

By now I was back next to the security guard at the closed bar we had left and a guy came running up, told me he saw it all and I had to go with him to the police and report it. I decided it was time to get the fuck out of Dodge and head back to the hotel so jumped in a taxi. F'in horrible experience.

Nights 2 and 3.

I was gun shy now plus had a gash on my head so I spent time at Jazz and Bluz bar, saw some great muso / singers there. I did venture into Infinity and spotted one that could have got me. Took her into a VIP / karaoke room where the mamasan explained to spend an hour with her, no sex, was minimum 1500 incl 2 tequilas and fruit platter. While there she gave me the sales pitch to take her out for the bargain price of only 5000, OR I could wait til 3 am when she finished and she would visit my hotel for only 3000. I declined both.

Night 4.

Three nights and still no pussy but still not game enough for a street girl so I wandered the Mango gogo / ktvs and took a girl from Sisters? I think. Cost 3000 all in and was a great all nighter. Confidence restored a bit.

Night 5.

I wanted to climb back on the horse and get another street girl, plus a pal told me off for paying anything more than 1500. So I had a couple of beers at Beat bar Mango Sq and did some window shopping. Then I spotted a little hottie about 4'6" tall but with flesh and curves that I like. A quick chat and I accepted her 1st offer of 1000 plus she was promising to give me everything.

Well she delivered all right, a few hours of both our bodies being totally licked, sucked, groped and fucked had this old dude exhausted so I let her go early, 1000 + taxi 100, good deal I thought.

So from the worst experience to the best in a few days, bring on the next round!

Over multiple trips (motivated more by internet chat mates than P4P) the following is my P4 P experience.

Mango Bars. Fairly average. Rarely would I meet anyone who I would barfine. Planet X (one of the larger bars) I did barfine OK girl on her 1st day in bar. Twice I have been rejected in Planet X because they are not interested in Westerners. Viking bar fined once when drunk and regretted it in the morning. Kim at Viking (long left) was impressive looks and dancer but refused to barfine (only Asians). Barfined at Red Lips but regretted next day. Lower class bars like Papillion, Sisters, Erik the Red are fun but rare in good lookers. Overall cheap compared to Manila bars but rare to find someone worth barfining. But can have some good fun having a few drinks.

KTVs. More oriented towards the Koreans and in general not interested in Westerners. Love City (part of Mango bars), Infinity (near Ayala), Ferarri (in manadue) and Volvo (near Robinson's mall) all owned by same owners. Volvo is my preferred place to visit each trip with at least some decent looking girls. Never met anyone even interested in sitting with at Infinity but last trip decided to try with a girl I would still not pass as bar finable. She told me she is making 40000 pesos per month mainly all Korean customers. SK2 in Manadue have some clothes removal but not good lookers here. Las Vegas near SM mall (I forget new name?) I visited on its first reopening week. Sat with one girl who was quite pretty but she told me there was no bar fine (but maybe she was making excuse). Arena is obviously highest class option in Cebu but prices are steep at 1200 per hour sitting fee. Had stand up fight at Arena because mamasan failed to disclose to me that sitting fee was 600 for girl but also have to pay 600 for mamasan. Have never asked bar fine price at Arena.

Mango Square. Went to JAve at 9.30 pm. Empty. This is really a midnight + option and I am too old to be an early morning party goer.

Overall don't come to Cebu for P4P and the Koreans have completely overrun the Cebu P4 P scene anyway.

Lots of times in Cebu no FRs so why now. Maybe you had a bad experience and now are mad etc so blame everyone but yourself?

Also maybe the girls not like you for other reasons as they do like nice guys also, respectful and not drunk out of their skulls helps as well. So many factors could result in rejection so take a look at yourself also.

But if you don't come here all the better for those who are as one less punter.

All of those I know have no issues with the market and many never go near Mango. Plenty other places.

Let us read the FRs that lead to this FR about how bad you think it is here as I love it here and am not Asian LOL.

Experience in Cebu is probably 12+ trips over the last 3 years (every 3 months) mainly motivated by chat mates. But I visit the P4P scene each trip but with no high expectations.

[/QUOTE]Nope no bad experiences and I am at the other end of the spectrum. Too polite, never grope, well presented, rarely drunk as always by myself. There is a genuine bias towards Koreans (against Westerners) in the KTV's and high end bars (Viking etc). The last rejection example two weeks ago at Planet X. The girl was dancing on the stage and had never sighted me. She went to sit at the back bar and rejected me sight unseen because Westerner (as relayed to me by waitress). And I don't think it has anything to do with equipment size. The girls just know where their bread is buttered. On checkout at Waterfront, a Korean guy checking out next to me slides a wad of blue notes to the receptionist saying in poor English "you become my girlfriend". And there is no racism bias in my comments (my stepmother is Asian).

But after 12+ Cebu visits (with multiple nights exploring the P4P scene) I stick by the comment. As an average punter (with no contacts or inside knowledge) you would not come to Cebu purely for P4P. Maybe there are other motivations to come to Cebu. As a city I like it and have developed a nice set of non P4P contacts but I never expect much out of the Cebu P4P scene other than some fun drinks. For the average punter other than mango bars, mango square, other high end night clubs, and the KTV scene (which I listed in my report) - where else do I go? Maybe I need to venture out after midnight and try the club scene but it is not my style. Maybe I have not given Mango square enough effort (there seems to be nice bars with bands other than the nightclubs). Rarely do I meet in the Cebu P4P scene (including KTV's) a girl I would be attracted to enough to want to barfine. Compared to say Kojax on Burgos (just as an example) where you are flooded with choices. Agree prices are different but not that much different (2.5 K barfine in the cheap bars, 4 K barfine in Viking or the KTV's including girl compared to 5600 (2600 bar 3000 girl) in Kojax). Really open to your advice of "plenty other places". I will always still come to Cebu but not motivated by P4P.

I stopped the other day into the new Silver Dollar location behind Henry hotel and had a few drinks. G man was there playing pool with his special guest. Nice little place, but I found the prices high. 90 php for a sml and it was not that cold, 200 php for a LD and the standard 300 php for the bucket of Ping-Pong balls.

They are open from 1 am to 1 pm and happy hour runs from 1-5 pm. Happy hour prices 60 php for a sml and 150 php for a LD. There is no mamasan, only a papasan Mr. G. That's a smart move to save a salary.

I recognized a few old faces from the original Silver Dollar location near Fuente and got caught up on their lives (dancers and an expat). The line-up of dancers and GRO's is mostly older Filipinas. There are a few borderline younger thinner providers that might be barfinable if ever I got that drunk.

The dancers told me things have been quiet, with the bar surviving on the daily patronage of a few regular customers. A few of the GRO's were laying the sell tactics on thick trying to get me to barfine them. Telling me 'ohhh we could do this and that and barfine my friend so we can have more fun together'. LOL, no thanks! I know when a GRO is all talk, and once I say ok get dressed she will change into the "no" girl in the room no matter what she told me in the bar. Plus they were butt ugly or tambok. I prefer spinners so it was a no-go screwing a tambok GRO for 3 k when so many younger hotter semi-pro Filipinas are in CC for the taking in the 1-2 k price range.

So G Man, get some younger thinner Filipinas in there. The current crop of high mileage dancers you have might be loyal and easy to manage, but they're not doing you any favors unless guys find them attractive enough to barfine. Barfines are where you can actually make money. Guys who buy drinks do not provide the bar with enough cash flow to pay all the bills. As you get a better crop of dancers working in the bar, word will spread and business will pickup. Just my two cents.
