Blue Tree Towers - Update
Hi,
Firstly, I am new to this site and this game so excuse me if I may seem somewhat naiive ;-).
I was at the Blue Tree Towers for 3 days at the end of January - before hiting the beaches.
Anyway, I had read an earlier report that it was possible to get girls into the rooms straight through reception with no hassle from the staff. I presume now that that meant meeting them outside and walking them through reception???
So, I had been checking out www.garotanacional.com as I am not into picking up streetwalkers and not keen about visiting girly bars alone in a strange city. I got in touch with Carolina from garotanacional in the late afternoon. She arrived after about 90 minutes but (and this is probably a major beginner's error) I gave her my room number. I was then kind of expecting a call from her when she arrived. However, she then arrived with a security guy at the door and he then asked me to sign her in as a guest at an additional charge of 120 Reals- which was later charged to my bill! Given that she was charging 250 for a 2 hour session this was proving to be an expensive exercise! I can hear a few chuckles among you all already :-)
Nonetheless, I had already popped a viagra (etc.) and a few beers so there was no going back at this point!
I realize it it cost me way above the odds but I don't really care about that. I had a great time and she made a man who hadn't gotten any for quite a while very happy!
My point is not to to think that the girl can just wander in by herself. I did not try to escort a girl in but I ham sure that is possible.

Salvador girl from www.garotanacional.com
Hi,
I read somewhere about the retouching of pics of the girls on www.garotanacional.com. I was recently with one of the girls from that site and can report the following:
Carolina from Salvador had obviously had implants as was proven by the huge red scars under her breasts. These scars are not immediately evident on the site but if you look closer on her profile page you can definitely see that something has been done to the underside of her tits in the pics.
No indication of presence of the huge set of braces she wears and is unwilling to remove. I wasn't particularly bothered as I suppose it addes to the schoolgirl allure but I am certail some people may be.
She is much shorter than the 1.60 mentioned on her profile.
Otherwise, she was fantastic!
This isn't at all a criticism of the girl, rather the site.
Cheers,
Fluxy
How far is Barra from the action?
I was reading a bit in the forum and think that barra is a good place to stay. For relaxing. But I am not sure how far it is to go to the action from there.
Yes, Barra is a good area to stay. In terms of how far it is from the action, it seems to me that the action is pretty spread out all over the city anyway, so Barra is as good as any place else. There are definitely some freelancers in the bars in Pelourinho, and that's an easy 20 min bus ride from Barra. Reports indicate that, in the area of the former Casquinha do Siri (now Santissima Bahia, apparently), P4P is also to be found. I went to Casquinha on several occasions when I was in Bahia in 2002, and it's no more than a 20-minute cab ride from Barra. The Rio Vermelho area is even closer, if I remember correctly; perhaps 10 minutes. Also, unlike in Rio, the public buses are actually quite safe and easy, maybe less so if you hardly speak any Portuguese. In addition, there are definitely SWs in the Barra area. I picked up quite a bit of them five years ago in the area between Porto da Barra and Farol da Barra (i.e. between Barra beach/harbor and the lighthouse).
Can't specifically say anything about rentals (in 2002, when I was there, I stayed for one month with a family within the scope of a language program), but I can't really imagine that it would be difficult to find an apartment for USD 30-40 per day. You might want to check http://www.bahia-online.net. They have tons of information, including some links to apartment rentals. At the bottom of the page, they even have a small map of Bahia, which might help you locate some of the areas of interest to you (http://www.bahia-online.net/dan-apartments.htm).
Hope this helps!

Bahia Flat. Right in Barra
Hi guys,
In March I will be first time in my life iin brazil, staying for two weeks in salvador with a little spanish and two words of portugese. Well, propably four when I will leave again.
This is a good site. Nice restaurant on premises and two on the same block. It's about 12R to Pelorinho and 25R to Aeroclubbe area. 35R to Casquinha da Siri. It's across the street from Barra beach and down block from the lighthouse.
I paid about 30USD in 2004. No problems, except one cleaning lady who I know went though my pants and stole some cash one day. I was so wasted every night, I wasnt sure. The rooms were nice and spacious, and its totally GF so long as they have ID and are over 18. They also have hot tourism students working at reception. Depending on when you arrive, it may be booked. But you can only negotiate at the desk for best deals (vs. Booking online).
