I have nothing against English birds - plump and friendly (but too much teasing vs. giving) , but the question was " best country in Europe for punting?" and the Uk has a horrible mongering scene - very pricey and low value for $ and every veteran mongerer has his own horror story.

Finland is notable for its ease of access ( clubs are centrally located in prime Helsinki dinig, shopping and nightlife area) and selection of easy E.European women who take the ferry over to make some extra $$ to bring home.

I agree that Czech rep isn't in EU - sorry for that - But Prague does have one of the best scenes, prices, access and is very Westernized and easy to get to in C. Europe.

Anyway that's IMHO

Say 7 mil people concentrated in tiny Hong Kong, it's much easier to find what you want. The flip side of dense huge population is that if you don't spend enough time there, or you don't do research, you will not find that it's a good place because the odds are also against you. Say in UK there are endless supply of real nurses, teachers, students, secretaries etc. You don't go to central London and knock on club doors. But they are there. For international trade, chinese 18-22 London first stop, 22 up east coast, then west coast. Similarly for russians and east europeans. You have to have enough population to support these trade, and provide decent concentration of local talents.

Best place in EU?

I plump for Spain, and their clubs. Easy to find, easy to understand, great selection and great prices - well, as long as you're not in madrid or barcelona! Malaga coast area excellent!

UK (away from London) has fantastic opportunities and has to be mentioned, especially Manchester.

Germany too clinical for me. Soon to be in EU, Estonia, top place!
