Broadband Internet USB Card
was shopping in panthip plaza yesterday and saw a usb broadband internet card for a promotional rate of $1300 baht for 60 hours which seemed like a decent price. the lady there told me speed was approx 180k , and could be used all over the country .
i have never seen one here before, and am assuming this works similar to the broadband air cards in the states and europe from the cell providers.
anyone have any experiences , good or bad?
Unusual request for veteran mongers health……
After a hard year of screwing off, eating, fucking, drinking and all around debauchery I am due for my yearly vacation. I decided this year 6 weeks of motorcycling around the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Good mongering requires one to be in tip top condition and I am certainly not. I would like to spend 2 weeks of my vacation in a health spa. I figure that is just what I need to kick the year off right. Does anyone have any information on spas/programs in either Thailand or the Philippines, like a "Fat Farm" I can attend? Any help is as always appreciated.

Unlocking old iphone or better way??
I want to use my "old" edge network iphone in Thailand. I took it with me in October and the wireless generally worked, but I didn't unlock the phone or get a SIM card or anything.
Is it possible to get my old phone unlocked so I can buy a SIM card once I arrive in Thailand (or can I buy one here?). So I can use my iphone in Thailand with a SIM # there. And still have the wirless internet surfing capacity? P.S. When I went to Thailand a few months ago, the wireless internet on this phone worked fine, but, since I left my new 3G phone home, of course, the phone service wasn't hooked up on the old phone so I had no phone service.
I'm thinking using a SIM card on the old phone and having it unlocked is better than taking my new phone and risk losing it and also having to pay for some sort of international plan and roaming plan for internet usage which would get expensive, right?
If it is a good idea to get it unlocked, is that something I should do in Thailand or here? Thanks for the responses. I'm not too up on these things.
I just want a phone to use while in Thailand and if I can surf wireless, too, with the old iphone and put a sim in it. Why not?
