Life would be boring if everyone thought the same way
Nope. Pure fantasy.
I used to get mistaken for a well know celebrity more than once and I finally figured out the folks wanted the buy-in to the fantasy so I stopped denying it, signed a couple of autographs, got a free dinner and a free haircut. Then the guy could say "So-and-so" was in my shop, jajaja, I get it.
You obviously exchange banter with Mr. E more often than I do. I had him on my Ignore List for the longest time for inconsistency, hyperbole and exaggeration but I think he is sincere and has veracity. He would probably pass a lie detector test for a lot of the bullshit he espouses but of course, that doesn't make him right. He is a master of deflection, projection and denial.
As far as his spooning buddy Elvis, that guy was so clueless, I think he was one of the first on my Ignore List where he stays. No harm, no foul, mainly I use the Ignore List as a time-management device to keep from getting sucked into to meaning, endless circular debates, the kind you seem to enjoy so much, jajaja. I don't know how you do it.
I get a kick when I read the image people form in their heads about me and others, when they really have no idea. Classic example of how the brain fills in gaps consistent with their own biases and beliefs when people won't acknowledge they don't know what they don't know. That is the most common pitfall for error on these boards that are populated by people with above average intelligence but have no grasp of their knowledge gaps. I haven't figured out why they love to post on boards so much but the phenomenon is prevalent on the Internet.
All we can do is Keep on Keepin' On.
